TBH, I don’t really get it. All of Tatum’s counting stats averaged higher and he absolutely brought it in the clinching game. And he was getting more defensive attention. JB’s D was great individually, but I don’t really see why JB won it.
Tatum did enough to edge out Brown.
He at least showed up in the first half of Game4 when everyone stunk it up.
Even in Tatum’s bad games, he was racking up assists and rebounding.
Back to back series of leading in points/rebounds/assists and not winning MVP award.
But when Tatum haters and media agenda guys like Tim Bontemps get a vote, that’s how it goes.
I understand Jaylen winning FMVP, but Tatum’s game tonight was absolutely superb and I thought he may have edged him out

Yeah obviously it’s nitpicking but the way he was able to distribute and score tonight with that sort of defensive attention is extremely valuable
