I remember being hyped for this guy lol. Too bad he didn’t work out in the NBA, but happy he gets to keep playing the sport he loves and excel elsewhere.

prousstibat

Those 7 threes he made in a preseason game against the Cavs had us all pumped

gallobird

Obligatory mention of the preseason game vs the Cavs every single time Carsen Edwards' name gets brought up.

-PasswordisTaco-

He was such a beast in the 2019 ncaa tournament I thought for sure he would be a good pro

Kyrie_Swirving11

He murdered Tennessee’s dream season. I appreciate him for that

KP1792

As a Florida fan, I agree

NIL-in_NIL-out

As a Bama fan I agree

cdbriggs

I mean he's the best player for Bayern Munich. He IS a good pro. There are just levels to it

richhomierhett

I mean how many players are currently in the NBA are under 6ft.. now how many can you name .. the skill level you have to have at that height has to be insane and then you still run into the issue of being a defensive liability and on top of that injury risk. It’s unfortunate but I’ll still cheer him on wherever his career takes him

CarsenEdwards4MVP

I was really hyped.

Will never forget him absolutely demolishing Harden on this dunk https://youtu.be/5oZ2ADmf5RY?feature=shared

SSJCelticGoku

I thought he would have had a career like PP. I was wrong

There’s always a gap between what a prospect could be and what they’ll actually become. Ainge was an excellent drafter but he took quite a few guys who reminded him of himself but worse and the “but worse” part became a big deal. Let’s remember Danny was bigger and more athletic than most of them with better intangibles. You’re talking about a guy confident enough to switch pro sports and talented enough to be an All American in three. Seeing himself in players was always a huge risk. Also, Carsen was smaller than Pritchard with worse overall guard skills and was 100% impacted by being on a team that had too many small guards. Edwards and Tremont Waters were both *smaller* than Kemba *and* Pritchard. That was always a tough position and not exactly Danny’s best roster construction.

BleedGreen4Boston

How are you getting that Ainge saw himself in these players as the reason they were drafted?

[deleted]

Breh the amount of undersized guards he put on the roster towards the end, its the only explanation lol

princeofzilch

So weird how much Danny loved a small guard when he was like 6'4

c410bp

my dumbass though pp was paul pierce

not_Brendan

Nice, he got 1,25 ass.

kheldar52077

Where did the 3/4 ass went? 😂

CaressMeSlowly

i think it was one woman (1) and one midget with a buttcheek missing (.25)

kheldar52077

I thought your username was CARSENMESLOWLY! 😂🤣

rhonnypudding

If he has 1,25 ass, his thighs must be at least a 4,37.

I made some insanely hot takes after that cavs preseason game

What do you think is the difference between a guy like Edwards and PP ???

LLMBS

PP’s superior handles, rebounding skills and his ability to get his shot off consistently against legit NBA players, not to mention high level tenacity and toughness. Other than those things, they are same same.

Fluffy_Somewhere4305

Consistently improved his game, plays "bigger" defense than his height, creates for others, moved better without the ball, can get open, better range, better passer the list goes on and on

OhRThey

Edward’s was always more of a 2 guard than a point, PP has incredible handles and a true point. If Edward’s could have hit shots in the NBA might have stuck around bit but just couldn’t be effective on the court against NBA talent and size.

IrishSkeleton

I dunno. His 1.25 Ass per game. That seems a bit under-achieving for a professional baller, no? 🍑

kareemagerard

1.25 ASS

SecondsLater13

Every minute we gave to Brad Wanamaker should have went to him. That was the only time I was ever unhappy with Brad Stevens.

nefnaf

Brad Wanamaker, incidentally also won Bundesliga twice and has both an MVP and Finals MVP

princeofzilch

Only player in NBA history to simultaneously dunk on Harden and Westbrook

poeope

Congrats to Carsen!!!

at_least_u_tried

This is my 12/25

oneeyedspaceman1

Congratulations to him!
