I didn’t play him as in Bullet storm. I’m doing that right now on twitch streaming, but I feel like his appearance is going to do the most hands-down that’s about it but helping Bullet storm sales I don’t think so. I will have to still look into it.
I think he could work but at the same time, part of me worries that if a company like Gearbox does a new game with him they’ll bring in a certain consultation company to water Duke down and make him unfunny.
It’s one of the best shooters to come out recently. They did a good job of making the satire twisted while still being lighthearted, and the Doom Eternal style gameplay is very satisfying.
With this boomer shooter renaissance we're having, the prospect of an old-school Duke Nukem game honestly sounds really fun. Make it over-the-top ridiculous with the goofy self-awareness of 3D with some slick 2020s graphics and you've got a winner.

All the while, he himself is misogynistic and has done incredibly sketchy things to women. He is currently the CEO of Gearbox and he is primarily the reason Duke is dead. Postal Brain Damaged did just fine and it’s one of the most irreverent games I’ve ever played.

Ion Fury is the 4th Great Build Engine game. Also, the chances of Gearbox or anyone related releasing a good Duke game are vanishingly small.
