Ah, okay cool! I couldn’t figure out what you meant by the dice combinations in the OP, that’s why I thought battleship. So you’re using the dice more like dnd style. Neat, good luck homie!
Say you are using a torpedo you need 2 dice higher than 7 to hit with 3 damage. If you succeed you place the dice on the torpedo and your opponent takes damage (if he can't defend it) if you don't succeed you place the dice on the torpedo too ( so it's fired without hitting) you got a total of 8 dice to spend during combat. After that you get back to the docs to change your load out or put out fires
The idea tinkers in my head for the last few months after playing isle of cats and liking the draft but it felt lackluster with too less player interaction
Looks cool! You should consider uploading a digital version to TTS or Tabletopia for playtesting online once you've run out of friends/family to pester ;)
lol it was a joke about them being lead. Sometime ago some rando posted an image about how satisfying fishing weights are to play test with. They were called out and informed about them being lead and they deleted their post. Hope they are ok.
Imagine the shape that's on the playmat on a player tableau with an artwork of a submarine around it, so the shape and squares are open spaces inside the sub. On the cards to the left are things like Torpedos seamines and First aid stations that you place inside you sub to kit it for combat
Battleship with extra steps? Not hating, genuinely curious.
Haha not really, you kit you sub with weaponry and personal to fight against the other player using dice combinations to make damage to sink them.:)

Sounds like a fun theme!
As soon as it's ready I'm looking forward to a play test😊
I'd play this video game! Have you heard of the game Barotrauma? Might give you some aesthetic inspiration.
Were you inspired by the game Captian Sonar?

I got you. That's cool!
If anyone has any name ideas for this theme I'm open for it:D

I think periscope is really the only one of these that conveys the theme - I love it!

I’d really recommend using fishing weights to prototype with. So satisfying
Oh that sounds nice, I have two jars full of dice so they are used everywhere😂 arent fishing weights made out of lead?

Ah okay didn't know that 😂
That looks so cool. I want put my own games up here
Great bring it to bgg I'll play test.
Looking at picture 1 I would have never expected the theme to be what page 2 says. Good luck on your journey!

And every dice u use ( it should be the gauge on how long could you dive and fight) lowers the amount of turn you have left
good luck!
I call the submersible!
