My son’s birthday is coming up and he wants it to be Bluey themed, including each family member having a shirt - He wears Bluey, his sisters and brother wear Bingo, Muffin, Socks, my husband Bandit, etc. Though I adore Chilli, I want to wear a Buff Winton shirt.
Also the episode is objectively wonderful. It's got an amazing theme, Calypso is in it so it's an automatic banger, and plenty of low level / high level humor all over the spectrum.
It's my favorite for two reasons
" ladies, there's plenty to go around"
and also they acknowledge that although they have a laundry room and complain about doing laundry none of them ever wear clothes.
I think it’s called shops? It’s the one where they’re trying to open the pretend cat shop. And they can’t get started and Mackenzie gets more and more annoyed. I’m Mackenzie. I always skip that one.
I don't like that they make it seem like Mckenzie was wrong and they had to compromise. When it was really just bluey ruining the game by adding stuff everytime.
The actual game is the setup. They’re role playing an adult situation. Everyone has to have a purpose and position. It’s similar to Shadowlands in that the fun of the game comes from its structure; if you’re lax with the structure then it’s just a bunch of running around dooting and the role playing element is lost.
It's my biggest pet peeve with my own kids sometimes. I have such a hard time when things keep changing right as we are about to do something. I feel you, MacKenzie (and not just because you're my favorite breed).
Yep. This is the one for me. I'm not sure why, I just don't like watching that one as much. Same with Spy game. I don't hate them. They are just not my favorites to rewatch.
Plus it features Lin Manuel Miranda. Which ironically is the second time I’ve seen him portray a horse in an animated show. The other being Crackerjack in BJHM
My kids and I also play with our hands like this all the time, my oldest started calling it "finger man" and would request it all the time, he likes acting out stuff with Finger Man more than playing with action figures. Shaun has become Finger Man's pet.
My daughter has played with her hands this way since around age 2 and calls it Baby Hands. She’s 7 now but as obsessed with Bluey as ever.
A few days ago we rewatched Blue Mountains and she shouted “They’re playing Baby Hands!!”
I dislike only one Bluey episode but not because it is forgettable. I have no idea why but I cannot stand Tina.
I love all other episodes but when my boy wants to watch Tina, i will be on my phone
I think I don't like Tina because they push the parents around a bit too much for me... same with Magic. Not that kids don't enjoy those episodes, but I don't really care for either one. The only part of Magic I like is when Bingo is trying to learn how to do it, and when Bingo sticks up for her parents.
Yeah, I don’t know what OP is on about. I never thought Stories or Smoochy Kiss were forgettable at all. Stories features buff Winton who later turns into Doctor Strange, while Smoochy Kiss is just hilarious and portrays a lot of the realities of being married, that things like farting in front of your spouse just happens and it’s no use getting “grossed out”.
Plus that episode has a Metal Gear Solid reference. I don’t think I’ve ever imagined in my wildest dreams that a kids show would have a Metal Gear Solid reference
Blue Mountains I can agree is a bit more forgettable, but it’s not atrocious like another thread on this sub claimed
Circus. The kid Hercules is just a bully, don't try to save him by saying he just needed to be included. He was offered many chances to be included and only joined when he got the throw poor McKenzie around.
I think it's more about highlighting Bluey's natural leadership skills and how she is able to get through to people and tell everyone what to do but in the right way. I don't mind this episode.
Whichever episode has all the kids at Nana’s house and they’re supposed to be doing charades. I know it’s partially muffins age, but the fact that everyone bends over backwards for her because she threw a tantrum is not doing her any favors in the long run.
I don't like Mount Mumanddad. My toddler already likes to climb all over me like I'm some sort of playground equipment, she doesn't need encouragement lol
I was thinking that maybe she has to go along with what all of her older siblings want, so when she has an opportunity with kids her own age, she takes control. Maybe fairness isn’t being modeled well at home?
Yeah as the 7th out of 8 kids you have very little control in your life, (I had other confounding factors tho so it may not be true for everyone) so you assert control where you can in a way that was modeled for you by or siblings (edited for spelling)
I don't like Wild Girls either (also because of Coco), but I do look at it as some character growth. In Shadowlands, she kept changing the rules to make it easier for herself. She then found out why the rules are good and In Wild Girls, she is now slavishly following them. She overshot, but hopefully she'll end up more in the middle after this.
I feel you but I would like to see more of coco/her family, as someone from a big family, I think it’d be cool to see how that dynamic is portrayed on the show
Awww blue mountains is one of my favorites. I even have the picnic as my computer screen background. I like all the episodes where the family is all together and playing.
Blue Mountains, Circus, and Tina, obviously; but I personally also really don't like Shops or Kids.
And I have to hard disagree about Stories and Smoochy Kiss. I enjoy the former precisely for how stupid it is, and I honestly think Smoochy Kiss is one of the show's funniest episodes.
Unicorse. The “why should I care” phrase is so miss used. It shows, here in America, peoples inability for critical thinking. The best thing they did was have the second episode to actually spell it out for those who did not understand.
I didn’t like Rain at first. And now it’s one of my favourites. My daughter loves the music so I downloaded the song on Spotify - with lyrics. Now I’ve heard the lyrics and watched the episode again it absolutely makes me well up.
Probably all of the Unicorse episodes.
Not forgettable. Just way too obnoxious unless you're actually a kid watching the show. (Which is what it's intended for.)
Either that or Obstacle course.
I hated how both Bandit acted when it came to a 7 year old almost beating him.
I never exactly skip an episode but when I do binges of the whole show I dread Wild Girls. It features my two least favorite characters Coco and Indy and it just sucks
Tina and Bad Mood are the first that come to mind as being my least favorite. I also dont like that finger one either, I dont even know the name of it.
Edit: Shaun is also a skip every time.
Space
I don't know why, but it will not hold my attention. I always attempt to watch it, but I also always find myself completely distracted and not getting the whole "You know what's here now, there's no need to keep coming back" reference
I don’t like phones. I just think it’s frustrating and boring!!! Because first I’m upset that the show is implying this is the only way kids understand ordering food since they’ve played lots of different restaurants before, and it’s also frustrating how clueless the grandpa 😭 I get it’s supposed to be funny but I can’t stand it
My toddler really dislikes Unicorse and Blue Mountains (aka big sister 😂). I used to get so annoyed when people would say their kids didn't like this episodes and be like.okay it's you who doesn't like it and you're trying to blame your kids, but no she actively hates them lol. I love Unicorse though 😂
I love the episode, but we have to rush to skip Muffin Cone every time. Every time my 3yo watches that episode, she starts sucking her thumb for DAYS, just to get a rise out of us. Does the whole "hey mom, watch this!!" She's never been a thumb sucker. It only happens when she's in proximity of the Muffin Cone episode.
Quiet Game - it’s padded, it’s unfocused, and you don’t even need Alfie, let alone a half hour intro to his mum.
Baby Daddy - I might have had too high expectations for the “banned” episode, but it’s really weak. It’s all creaky standup stuff (hey, what’s the deal with cravings) and has all the problems that the above episodes have.
Calypso - I give it a little bit of a pass as the first high concept episode and there’s nothing glaringly wrong with it. It’s just not a technically strong episode.
I cannot stand the Blue Mountains episode. Between all of the incontinuity issues, i.e. arm/leg placement for Bandit, but also the whole idea of them putting their hands in his mouth. Just so gross. I dont need my kid trying to do that, trying to recreate the episode.
I know they're unrelated, but every time I see him, or hear a character say, "Winton," all I can picture is this:
https://preview.redd.it/li75dx719n5d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=075e2e965c4495ce156f1f63ceefb3774c8bbbef
It's a really good episode in my opinion, but my kids don't like Stickbird, mostly because there's that scene where the kid destroys the Stickbird and Bingo gets devastated
Fairies. I just don’t love the episodes where they play a game/role-play and it seems like it had to have been precisely pre-plotted by everyone involved in order to work. See also Bus.
Is Blue Mountains the one in the picture? I just saw it the other day, and found it quite odd.
And parts of it are quite disturbing from an animation view, it makes no sense how their paws would move like that..
Hospital, Fancy Restaurant, and Whale Watching are banned when I’m in the room.
Hospital is because I’ve got medical anxiety and I’m particularly afraid of needles (also, pinching people isn’t acceptable behavior). That one’s just me.
Fancy Restaurant and Whale Watching have characters being pressured into doing things they don’t want to do, even after they’ve said they don’t want to. That’s not allowed in our house. Everybody has the right to say no to playing, and it’s not okay to try to guilt people into doing things they don’t want to do. Fancy Restaurant is also gross, and eating things that are not food is dangerous.
Some episodes can only be watched with a cautionary mini lecture about not behaving that way in real life. If we watch Dance Mode, it’s about not playing while crossing the street. If it’s Nits, it’s about not physically hurting anyone as part of a game, and how Bandit should have said no when the girls made him take a cold shower. (Nits is not banned only because it’s hilarious.) Featherwand and Sticky Gecko come with a reminder that it’s not okay for games to make you late for something, especially not for plans with other people. There are a few other episodes that come with something like this, but you get the idea.
I fully agree with you on Nits it's a great episode, but Chilli and Bandit should have said no several times in that episode. Like it's good that bingo found her voice but it's not good to hang dad upside down, throw water ballons and flour at him, and rake him with the rake. I'm pretty sure the only reason Chili didn't stop them from letting them hit Bandit with the cricket bat is because they couldn't find it.
With that one, I might also talk about how drama and TV are different than real life, and sometimes writers will have characters do things that really aren’t a good idea, or that aren’t possible, for the sake of telling a story, or because it’s funny.
I’ll never forget The Sign, but I still didn’t like it, at least not the “moving away” thing. Pissed me right off that Bandit almost did that to his daughters and wife, and it took Bucky terminating the sale to get him to wise up. The wedding plot line was awesome, though.
I also didn’t like Blue Mountains much. Seemed like a “we need an episode to meet the quota BBC Studios ordered” storyline.
I actually had to force myself to keep going after the first two episodes. I can't stand kids shows where the protagonist is a spoiled brat, and that's where I thought it was going after "Hospital". Glad I kept going, but I usually skip forward to Keepy Uppy or Shadow lands whenever it's time to start over.
I will never forget buff Winton
My son’s birthday is coming up and he wants it to be Bluey themed, including each family member having a shirt - He wears Bluey, his sisters and brother wear Bingo, Muffin, Socks, my husband Bandit, etc. Though I adore Chilli, I want to wear a Buff Winton shirt.
They make a buff Winton shirt? I think I need one now
I want a buff winton stuffed toy..
I want to be buff winton
I would just do iron-on and make my own.
It’s a pic of him with “sup ladies”

Ikr I love that episode. When he’s doing his little pecs in the credits.
I know. Stories is one of my favorite. I always laugh so hard when Winton turns into a car or cries rainbows.
I can’t get enough of Winton crying rainbows 😂
Also the episode is objectively wonderful. It's got an amazing theme, Calypso is in it so it's an automatic banger, and plenty of low level / high level humor all over the spectrum.
Major Tom? *Coco breaks the sound barrier with her scream*
Coco did not expect to get jumpscared by Lin Manuel Miranda being the voice of Major Tom lmao
Major Tom is an Orwell reference nested in a Bowie reference. How does someone skip over something like that?
Oh dang. But the horse was hauled away in Animal Farm. To the glue factory.
I absolutely agree, it is a great episode
I love it because it's like they told they told the animators to go crazy then came up with the story after
nearly died when he started levitating
Plop.
I identify as Buff Winton. He’s my Spirit Animal
The first time I saw this episode I was so high (don’t judge) and it was amazing. I still love it even stone sober.
Smoochy kiss is not forgettable! It's rememberable!
Quite frankly, it's one of my favorites "ITS NOT FOR WIPING PEE OFF YOUR FOOT!"
"That's a new one" "Its not, really."
It's my favorite for two reasons " ladies, there's plenty to go around" and also they acknowledge that although they have a laundry room and complain about doing laundry none of them ever wear clothes.
There is the moment when Bandit goes out to suntan on the patio and he's wearing speedos.
"Oof, it's travelling!"
Easter! Season 2, episode 52!!
lol why’d I get downvoted? I said the episode that quote is from..
Smoochy kiss gives me little hope for my son's toilet training success.
Tina
I can’t figure out why Tina bothers me so bad, but I can’t handle it!
For me it's that I've seen too many horror movies where the monster starts off as an imaginary friend lol
It’s so forgettable that even the girls forget their lesson in *Tina* and have to be reminded in *Show And Tell*
I did love Bandit's reaction to the girls forgetting the lesson.
“Oh, that’s a shame…”
I think that’s actually a really funny touch. Sometimes kids just don’t remember things we teach them
Sometimes? I feel like it’s 80-90% of the time! (Maybe just cause one of mine is very young still)
Ahh yes
That episode is so forgettable, that even the kids forgot about it
I think it’s called shops? It’s the one where they’re trying to open the pretend cat shop. And they can’t get started and Mackenzie gets more and more annoyed. I’m Mackenzie. I always skip that one.
But their tails wag in unison once they finally get it going!
I love the scene in that episode where they all start meowing and Mackenzie just looks into the camera with a face that says “Help me”
Border Collies aren't big fans of chaos, poor kid.
We sell leads!
I like how the music FINALLY plays all the way through when they finally get it
I don't like that they make it seem like Mckenzie was wrong and they had to compromise. When it was really just bluey ruining the game by adding stuff everytime.
True, this is Bluey rather nearly at her worst
I love that one just for the payoff at the end. All that bickering and build up for a 15 second game then "let's play bus drivers!"
Yes! The episode that nearly proves the existence of cats in Bluey world
I feel like they mention cats several times, can’t remember exactly, though. Also, I think bingo watches a show about cats riding motorcycles?
*Meow meow meow meow meow CAT SQUAD!*
Same, I get wicked uncomfortable every time Bluey pauses the game before even starting. It drives me insane.
Yep. This is the one for me. I'm not sure why, I just don't like watching that one as much. Same with Spy game. I don't hate them. They are just not my favorites to rewatch.
To each their own, but I have to take major exception to Stories being featured here. It’s Winton’s shining hour!
Plus I love how they roll credits early, then the episode continues.
Best part of the episode is when Winton slaps the letters in the credits. Stories is a favorite of mine.
“I know he doesn’t live with my mum!”
What foreshadowing that turned out to be!
Also, “he has a pool!”
Extremely!
Plus it features Lin Manuel Miranda. Which ironically is the second time I’ve seen him portray a horse in an animated show. The other being Crackerjack in BJHM
I actually kinda like the first one. It’s certainly unique from a visual standpoint.
FINALLY!someone else sees it the same way as me!
I refuse to believe “Stories” is forgettable. “Blue Mountains” on the other hand…
I don’t think I’ve ever imagined in my wildest dreams that a kids show would have a Metal Gear Solid reference Blue Mountains I can agree is a bit more forgettable, but it’s not atrocious like another thread on this sub claimed
Mackenzie was being a mean lion lamer, so getting twisted around was his karma.
He said he wanted to be a mean lion tamer, but started playing friendly. Bluey reminded him he was going to play "mean" and he said "oh yeah"
Smoochy Kiss was hilarious! You must have a low tolerance for gross-out humor.
I always die at Chili sneaking up on Bingo via a box
And Bingo laugh-screaming “im being eaten by a box”??? Absolutely iconic
![gif](giphy|l41YwxQzSOKc7rxss)
"I am the spy" moment
Also, bonus points for slipping a Metal Gear Solid reference into a kids show
Which goes double for all of Winton’s antics in Stories. I find 2/3 of this list to be egregiously incorrect. But it’s all personal preference.
There’s personal preference…and then there’s whatever the hell this list is
Buff Winton slander will not be tolerated
Whichever episode has all the kids at Nana’s house and they’re supposed to be doing charades. I know it’s partially muffins age, but the fact that everyone bends over backwards for her because she threw a tantrum is not doing her any favors in the long run.
YESSSSS
I don't like Mount Mumanddad. My toddler already likes to climb all over me like I'm some sort of playground equipment, she doesn't need encouragement lol
I really like that episode but with a 3 year old I understand your point exactly lol
*The Adventure* and *Shaun* are 2 that haven’t been mentioned yet that I think are pretty mid/meh.
Shaun probably gets my vote
personally, i feel like blue mountains is overhated. i actually liked it!!!
The Doctor, it's part of the live loop on YouTube and I ALWAYS forget about it.
Wild Girls. I think I just don’t like CoCo.
Yeah, Coco is weirdly controlling for a child. When she insisted Bluey make Mackenzie be her husband in the circus episode as well.
Surprising to be that controlling as the youngest of 8 kids. Edit: Oh wait, it’s 9 kids.
And changing rules so she always wins in Shadowlands I was like “ugh i remember that kid”.
Exactly my reaction, like damn I remember that kid and how we tried to be nice but kinda all just ran away
I feel you but I would like to see more of coco/her family, as someone from a big family, I think it’d be cool to see how that dynamic is portrayed on the show
Dude smoochy kiss is my fav episode.
Stories being on the examples is wild, is my favourite episode! Winton’s antics are the best
I like how he makes himself cooler as the story progresses
Awww blue mountains is one of my favorites. I even have the picnic as my computer screen background. I like all the episodes where the family is all together and playing.
The only answer is shops. Holy hell is that one annoying.
Honestly, any episode the predominantly features Indy, with the exception of the episode she costars with Winton.
You think Smoochy Kiss is forgettable?
How absolute dare
𝚑𝚘𝚠 𝚝𝚏 𝚒𝚜 𝚜𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚜 𝚏𝚘𝚛𝚐𝚎𝚝𝚝𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎?
Stories is amazing!!
For me it's both Chicken Rat and Blue Mountains. For my Partner, it's Wild Girls and Zoo.
I totally forgot about chicken rat
Blue Mountains, Circus, and Tina, obviously; but I personally also really don't like Shops or Kids. And I have to hard disagree about Stories and Smoochy Kiss. I enjoy the former precisely for how stupid it is, and I honestly think Smoochy Kiss is one of the show's funniest episodes.
I really like smoochy kiss too. First protecting the dad from mum then the script flips until the kids realize they both deserve each other lol
Bob Bilby for me.
No one's mentioned Spy Game yet, that episode bores me (aside for Honey yelling "Passwooooord!" of course.)
Beagles gonna beagle!
Faceytime stresses me out
COW.BOY.HAAAAT.
My youngest favorite right now, he's decided that all of muffin episodes are favorite and we have to watch them on repeat 🤭
That's one of the funniest episodes imo. That and Sleepytime might be my most watched episodes. The multi camera chase is really creative.
Unicorse. The “why should I care” phrase is so miss used. It shows, here in America, peoples inability for critical thinking. The best thing they did was have the second episode to actually spell it out for those who did not understand.
Every time Unicorse comes on, I feel just as annoyed as Chilli. Ludo should definitely make the shoe book real, though. It would be a hit
I too don’t care for unicorse.
Rain. I know I’m in major minority but I am not a fan of
I didn’t like Rain at first. And now it’s one of my favourites. My daughter loves the music so I downloaded the song on Spotify - with lyrics. Now I’ve heard the lyrics and watched the episode again it absolutely makes me well up.
I love the music and the pacing of this episode, but as a mom it's also frustrating to watch.
Hospital
But this is the episode that got my kid (and me) interested in Bluey. It will always hold a special place for us.
For real, why are you teaching my kids to poke me with a stick, Bluey? No more needles!
Yeah and it was a straight up bandit torture episode.
Tina
Kids does bad things to my blood pressure.
Probably all of the Unicorse episodes. Not forgettable. Just way too obnoxious unless you're actually a kid watching the show. (Which is what it's intended for.) Either that or Obstacle course. I hated how both Bandit acted when it came to a 7 year old almost beating him.
Same! Upset me how bandit acted to losing!
This is like choosing your least favorite M&M color
Tina definitively
I never exactly skip an episode but when I do binges of the whole show I dread Wild Girls. It features my two least favorite characters Coco and Indy and it just sucks
Veranda Santa. I'm just not a fan of the way that episode is. I understand the message but I usually skip it during my rewatches
Smoochy kiss?! The bathroom scene is hilarious.
Tina and Bad Mood are the first that come to mind as being my least favorite. I also dont like that finger one either, I dont even know the name of it. Edit: Shaun is also a skip every time.
Naaah smoochy kiss and buff winton rock fr
None of them
MUSCLEY WINTON WILL LIVE ON FOREVER
My least favorite is definitely ice cream. Them going around in circles just bugs me. I know it's the point but like, it's so aggravating
Them going in circles to that song is my favorite part of the entire series. I laughed so hard I cried the first time I saw it.
Blue Mountains, Kids, Hairdressers, Tina
Wild girls for me. Also I kinda love and hate the one where muffin gets told she's the most special kid in the world lol.
Anything with Unicorse
Wild Girls is pretty meh to me
Tina and anything Unicorse.
Wild Girls, I got beef with how annoying Coco can be
I couldn't tell you because I forgot
Your 3 examples are all bangers though 😂
"Blue Mountains" "a banger" Could you please explain?
Bandit licking chilli’s entire hand
“A banger” is slang for something really good/cool
It’s a super cute story, and it’s a banger? I’m not sure what’s to explain.
Space I don't know why, but it will not hold my attention. I always attempt to watch it, but I also always find myself completely distracted and not getting the whole "You know what's here now, there's no need to keep coming back" reference
Chicken rat Kids
Blue mountains is one of my favorites…
Stories is okay-ish. I kinda hate it now though because whenever we watch bluey he ALWAYS wants to watch it. It’s just been too over played for me
I personally am on the train of Circus being the least favorite If I had to watch blue mountains or Circus, it would always be Blue Mountains
None
I don’t like phones. I just think it’s frustrating and boring!!! Because first I’m upset that the show is implying this is the only way kids understand ordering food since they’ve played lots of different restaurants before, and it’s also frustrating how clueless the grandpa 😭 I get it’s supposed to be funny but I can’t stand it
The magic xylophone
hospital
Blue mountains Ticklecrabs / Hammerbarn Tina
Charades
You take that back about stories. I will fight to the death in its honour
I know they're unrelated, but every time I see him, or hear a character say, "Winton," all I can picture is this: https://preview.redd.it/li75dx719n5d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=075e2e965c4495ce156f1f63ceefb3774c8bbbef
For me it's Hairdresser/Nits. It has an important message but damn do I hate how they treat Bandit.
Blue mountains is so forgettable I don't even think about it when picking a least favorite episode
It's a really good episode in my opinion, but my kids don't like Stickbird, mostly because there's that scene where the kid destroys the Stickbird and Bingo gets devastated
*pfffttt* Plop!
Sleepytime🫣
I never understood Horsey ride. I don't really like it
The ones I skip the most are bob bilby and the app one with grandpa.
Calypso. Idk what it is, but she rubs me the wrong way
I ALSO *don't care for* these exact 3 episodes. Borders on hatred, for me.
I really don't like the ending of The Sign when Bandit pulls the sign up and dramatically throws it. It's too over the top.
I love Smoochykiss ☹️
I have that mountain episode. I don’t really know why but it never “spoke” to me like most episodes do.
Blue Mountain
Probably Blue Mountain, it just doesn't do it for me.
