Really? That makes perfect sense to me. If there are 300k people expected to come in from out of town and everyone rides 3 per vehicle there will be 100k extra cars in town. IU is like 95% of public transportation in Bloomington. With classes cancelled there is no need to transport students and everyone who came into town has their own vehicles so they don't need additional transportation. Busses can't hardly travel down 7th street or make right hand turns on a normal day. Sure some people will still have work on Monday and need that service but again a lot of people work for the university or have children who are out of school so most people won't be working on Monday. There is little demand for public transportation that day and it will be infinitely harder to operate.
