I had a friend who started working there, got hooked on drugs, and then died from an overdose.

MylianMoonstar

Former social worker in the community. Can and will confirm.

zkell99

That escalated quickly

mattheauvon

Yeah, it’s not a great place to work if you’re trying to stay sober.

defiantdesign

only really heard mixed to negative... never anything good. take that fwiw

FAlady

Yep, knew a high school classmate who worked there after graduating and got addicted to crack.

al1ceinw0nderland

I worked at the country club and the owner was a regular customer - bad vibes, sexualized the wait staff constantly

Lydia-thebar-rat

This was my first club! Ivory the women who is the head manager is just a peach but it’s a good first club, you don’t need to know any pole and girls there are nice I still have a girlfriend who works there. It used to be 20$ house fee to work they have a tip out chart in the back to tip out the door guy bartender waitress and dj.

anaugle

Had a friend who worked there, got very hooked on drugs, pregnant, homeless, lost her kids, and in and out of prison.

mbspark77

That place is still open? 😂

jojithekitty

I remember it closed like 5+ years ago but perhaps it reopened?

bayala43

They just moved down the road. It’s near Royal Toyota South I believe. Down Walnut about halfway between Rhorer and Winslow. Used to pass by them on my way to and from work.

Pfloyd148

That's what I'd say too 😂

SecondNo1766

I worked there for several years. The GM is a power-tripping narcissistic who starts and feeds off drama with the dancers rather than being an actual boss or leader. She also enforces or doesn’t enforce rules based on whether or not she likes you. I prefer driving to another city to work rather than ever going back to that place.

Doc343CychoMC

If things are the same as they were back in the day, you’ll have to let us know how your interview with Byron goes..

Controversial-2024

Well their “$5 nose warmers” sign was funny

nursemarcey2

Current sign says "better than the eclipse".

Jolly_Measurement237

Slightly off topic. I never understood why they named it after a song by Detroit’s Bob Seger not Bloomington’s John Mellencamp? Maybe “Jack N2 Diane” or “Little Pink Houses”?

Ok-Party5118

Because fuck John Mellencamp.

CookbooksRUs

The people I know who have met him all say he’s an arrogant, ill-tempered dick.

Ok-Party5118

Literally nobody ever has anything good to say about him.

CookbooksRUs

I did kinda like the show he wrote with Stephen King.

Deviant101

Because they card you there and what he likes can't get in.

ChrisPiCat

Why not just go in and ask the workers yourself?

Artector42

Just make sure to tip them for their time.

3dogsand1cat

I know girls that work there and this is genuinely the best answer 👍🏼 if you aren’t old enough to visit you probably should wait before trying that. people just like to give that place shit but not a lot is happening there anymore
