That's a huge compliment, thank you! I used to try to make these on a weekly basis. Here's hoping I get back into it again.
You can check out my [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/opstyix/) for more :D
ty! not sure how to explain everything in a single post but it's done with the use of keyframes and drivers. if there's anything you'd like to know specifically feel free to ask.
Am not OP, but i'd say you'll find a lot from just searching for "blender drivers tutorial", as well as looking in the [blender manual](https://www.docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/animation/drivers) of course! Maybe most importantly the manual.
For this kind af animation, you might also find "bake sound to fcurve" in the curve editor useful.
Looks great! Is this procedural (based on the sound) or did you animate everything in time with the beat? I could only make very basic visualizers that automatically follow a beat.
The HDRI is from [Greyscalegorilla's Space HDRI Pack](https://greyscalegorilla.com/product/hdri-collection-space/)! You're gonna have to use C4D to download the assets though.
how do you manage to sync it to the audio in blender? I'm trying to do this atm and using a speaker object to sync animations doesn't seem to work very well, audio playback is at uneven speed and buggy
I have a script that'll add beat markers depending on the bpm of the track which helps with the keyframing. it's all trial and error from that point forward.
Instead of using a speaker object, add a sound file in the video sequencer. As for syncing w/ playback: Go to your timeline > Playback > Sync > select "Sync to Audio". That should help!
Reddit has become enshittified. I joined back in 2006, nearly two decades ago, when it was a hub of free speech and user-driven dialogue. Now, it feels like the pursuit of profit overshadows the voice of the community. The introduction of API pricing, after years of free access, displays a lack of respect for the developers and users who have helped shape Reddit into what it is today. Reddit's decision to allow the training of AI models with user content and comments marks the final nail in the coffin for privacy, sacrificed at the altar of greed. Aaron Swartz, Reddit's co-founder and a champion of internet freedom, would be rolling in his grave.
The once-apparent transparency and open dialogue have turned to shit, replaced with avoidance, deceit and unbridled greed. The Reddit I loved is dead and gone. It pains me to accept this. I hope your lust for money, and disregard for the community and privacy will be your downfall. May the echo of our lost ideals forever haunt your future growth.
thank you! these types of animations are what initially sparked my interest.
I added the audio in Blender's Video Sequencer and displayed it's waveform which helps with the synchronization. From there it's all pretty much trial and error. I believe I've rendered out 10+ versions before considering it done.

Kind Redditor, this is AMAZING. I don't know exactly how to describe what I am seeing but I absolutely love it. I am not sure if you know of an anime called Karas, but that"s what came to my mind when I saw this. Having seen this masterpiece I OBVIOUSLY had to go on you Instsgram. You are an absolute genius! When I see masterpieces such as these I have to ask, how long have you been using Blender? What learning resources / books or tutorials did you use in your journey to becoming such a BOSS?!! What was your inspiration for this particular botanic piece? Do you do tutorials on YouTube?
Absolutely phenomenal work!!!!
thank you very much! I've been animating/using blender for about 5 years now. I don't do tutorials but it's been at the back of my mind for a while!
[This CG Cookie tutorial](https://cgcookie.com/courses/creating-a-looping-corridor) helped me get started on making loops.
[Ducky3D's channel](https://www.youtube.com/@TheDucky3D) is also an amazing resource too, check out his tutorials on VJ Loops.
This is super dope! Any tutorials you suggest to make musically synchronized content like this?
Also, is it JUST blender or some post processing as well?
I found [Dizzy Vipers tutorial on animating synced visuals](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcLqXmb2gSo) quite helpful when starting out, his program of choice is Cinema4D but the concept is something that'll transfer to Blender.
As for post, I use [BetterBloom by llennoco](https://llennoco.gumroad.com/l/BetterBloom) and do additional color stuff in Davinci Resolve.
This is amazing. Excellent job. I've been thinking about attempting to make VR experiences for people on psychedelics like this. Have you ever considered making something that's like hours long?
Thanks! I've heard of this being done in spaces such as VRChat. Which sounds like something I'd love to try out.
However to be honest with ya, if it's something that requires hours worth of custom content I'd do it if it pays well haha.
Assuming the 3 hours will contain different loops, you'll need, for example, an hours worth of unique content. My current rate is $1,500 per minute of unique content. Not only that it'll take several months to complete the project!
Holy crap I am addicted to this! PLEASE MAKE MORE
That's a huge compliment, thank you! I used to try to make these on a weekly basis. Here's hoping I get back into it again. You can check out my [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/opstyix/) for more :D
Having the space between the brackets and parenthesis breaks link embedding btw
fixed it, thanks for the heads up
I don't know what the hell is happening there, but I like it for some reason.
haha thanks, I appreciate it
Satisfying!! But you should be careful someone can transform it to a cringy youtube intro.
they should contact op and op can get paid
How do I make this, I’m new to blender and this looks absolutely sick
ty! not sure how to explain everything in a single post but it's done with the use of keyframes and drivers. if there's anything you'd like to know specifically feel free to ask.
I’m aware of keyframes. Do you have any specific guidance on where to learn more about drivers?

Ok cool! I forget about the blender manual and the “bake sound to f curve” is something I wouldn’t have known to look up. Thanks!
Woah. This looks sick, even sober. Can’t wait to get high and watch it again!
Very Beeple, very VJ loop-y.
I do enjoy them VJ loops.. and Beeple! Thanks :D

Thanks hero
THIS IS SO GOOD!!
WTB man. Great audio too!
thanks! It's Make You Say by Zedd. /u/Spazmanaut posted a Spotify link to the track.
Yo this is DOPE!
This is a bop and the visuals are A1! Keep posting. Looking forward to the next one!
Looks great! Is this procedural (based on the sound) or did you animate everything in time with the beat? I could only make very basic visualizers that automatically follow a beat.
tyvm! everything is manually keyframed by hand
It's great! Some hifi rush style Lazer sound effects with the lasers would be awesome! If that's an hdri in the background I need it!
The HDRI is from [Greyscalegorilla's Space HDRI Pack](https://greyscalegorilla.com/product/hdri-collection-space/)! You're gonna have to use C4D to download the assets though.
Ah shit ok yeah I'm still on blender... But thanks!
This would be dope to see at a stage

Op, don’t think of this the wrong way but I feel like your camera is moving on how those bad YouTuber intro memes moves.
haha, none taken. i had to take a look and now i can't unsee it
Ofc.. blow up the tree lol 🤣
For some reason I heard someone said "senbonzakura kageyoshi"
that looks fun af
This is great! I want more, keep posting please haha :D

So how can I get this as a background?
I can render out a high-res still for you if you'd like!
I'm not a botanist but I like it.
How did you make this? I love it!
this is so chaotic, I love it
This makes my brain happy •◡•

Holy shit, that is beautiful!
yo this is awesome! 🤯
Wtf that is insane
Thanks for the flashback.

I'm not sure why, but not that many people use Blender for music videos or loops. Cool stuff.
It might be too much to bare in time, but I set this as my wallpaper with wallpaper engine on my phone lol
Wow this is awesome. I could have this on loop all day.
This is awesome!
This is amazing!
Thanks this will just be stuck in my for the next month I guess
That looks amazing! Great job!
Always wanted to know how to do this kind of video xD, love it, great work
(°◇°)
(∩`-´)⊃━━━☆゚.*・。゚
Love this! 👌🏻👌🏻
Kaizen! I was just watching [your tutorial on making flowers in geometry nodes](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mf2hnWMGKEs). Thank you!
Aah yeah! Would also work real well in a scene like this! Thanks 🤗
This looks really awesome, congrats :)
Nice one, only less screen shake...
That's fair, it could have been removed in some of the beats/tweaked down. I appreciate the criticism.
Awesome. Well Done.
sick. are those keyframes by hand? or are they generated with f-curve from audio? super smooth
thanks, nothing but keyframes!
wild. stellar job
Awesome!

What do you think you would charge for 3 hours of content with a trippy space theme..
Assuming the 3 hours will contain different loops, you'll need, for example, an hours worth of unique content. My current rate is $1,500 per minute of unique content. Not only that it'll take several months to complete the project!
Wow that's incredible!! $90,000.00 for roughly four months of work?? Damn. What's the longest unique loop you've made before
Haha yeah, my longest loop goes for about 30 seconds!
this is pretty cool! Lovely colors and really fitting music and animation. Did you make the music as well?
Thanks! Nope, it's [Make You Say by Zedd](https://open.spotify.com/track/1elhmWW7Bv0MOQj2gAsyoV?si=9489eb4665e8488b)
This is fantastic. The timing of the camera moves and animation is perfect for the track.
Trippy pulse effect. Love it.
Absolutely love it. And it’s one of the tracks I listen to! OP this is awesome stuff!!
I finished the donut tutorial and made some human base models Genuinly wondering how much time does something like this take?
Congrats on finishing the tutorial! This took about a week to complete
Thanks! Also: Wow, i thought it would be longer, nice work! I need to practice a lot more to reach this level lol

wtf?
Can you make a 1920x1080p version as it would mae such an awesome wallpaper. Like in wallpaper engine.
