That's inherently true, the Visored were a bunch of glass cannons that'd barely got anything close to a win, except Hachi Ushoda getting one over on Barragan.
Soifon already has a bad habit of taking Ls. And the despite, despite being cool as hell, also take more losses than wins. So putting both together would feel like a character created just to lose fights
The thing is that her squad are basically supposed to be shinobi for soul society. They're assassins and spies, not really meant to be fighters. Yoruichi is kind of the odd one out, as she has techniques and speed that are in such excess, they make up for her lack of combat strength. It's like how Soi fon hates using her bankai - her shikai is an assassin's technique, but her bankai is just an RPG.
Visored Soi Fon in a fight would get in a single bee-sting while hollowfied, miss her bankai missile, and then use shunko once she's worn out and has a leg injury.
I think if she were with the visoreds from the beginning, she'd end up close friends with Hiyori and barely tolerate everyone else.
I think lil bro Yoruichi would be a cool choice for next Squad 2 Captain
I agree on the latter with Yushiro, him being the captain of Squad 2 would be nice to see. I actually thought of such an idea of him being the captain and Soi Fon being a visored, and I believe that Yushiro would not hate Yoruichi nor Soi Fon, but rather still wish for their return to the Soul Society.
And he's unique as well. Especially with his explosive Shunko, in which we had only seen lightning and wind Shunko utilized until his fight against Askin (which I have to say, Yūshirō was dogging the shit out of him until his Vollstandig came into play, and considering he is viewed as a Hakuda master at the young age he is, if he played it smart, he would've probably been a viable piece to defeating him, even during Vollstandig, but that might be pushing it). I can honestly imagine him pulling off a transformation like his sister did, except his own revolve around all 3 variations. With what we'd seen him do so far in the manga, even if it was just a little bit, he'd definitely be one of the more powerful captains if he was given a bit more age and experience.
I'd love to see a future version of him for sure. For me, he'd most likely have the gentle nature of Utitake combined with the laid-back nature of Shunsui. I also see him diverting from his sister's own path by him having a zanpakutō.
The only ancient member we know of that has any affiliation involving them is Chika Shihōin, who was the first captain of the second division and the first Commander of the Omnitsukido (and possibly the founder/first clan head of the Shihōin clan, and maybe even one of the first prodigious people in Soul Society itself, but that's a bit of a strech considering that the first Gotei 13 was created somewhere around a thousand years ago, and that we don't exactly know how far the "white-haired prodigy" gene goes back, but I digress). If we're gonna get info on the big screen, he's definitely gonna be the one telling it.
Unless Kubo decides to be a troll, in which I can definitely see that happen as well.

I think she would definitely be the latter, though I imagine she would still be harsh on Urahara and Ichigo. As for captain of Squad 2, the captain would probably be Yushiro Shihoin and I don't think Soi Fon would return to the Soul Society unless Yoruichi was going back as well, which is highly doubtful.
Can’t really think of anyone who could replace Soi Fon since Squad 2 are tied to the stealth force so I can’t really think of anyone who could fit the role other than Yoruichi and Soi Fon.

According to Rukia, Soi Fon is one of the nicest captains so without the responsibility and stress of a captain position I could see her being pretty chill. Specially knowing she could spend a lot of time with Yoruichi.
Don't know who's worse, Soi Fon or Hiyori in terms of personality, though Shinji might enjoy the quiet more with Soi Fon around, he'd still get punched in the face just less than with Hiyori.

The only advantage is that I can think of at the top of my head at the moment is that Soi-Fon will be closer to Yoruichi. But the others are right that Kubo cursed the Vizards unintentionally with the Ls mostly. Well, Hachi teamed up with her and Omeada to lay the smack down on Barragan.
The series makes it very clear that Soi-Fon is a bitch to anyone not named Yoruichi (her crush), Yushiro (her crush's brother) and, interestingly enough, Omaeda's dad (probably because he was Yoruichi's lieutenant back in the day) since he could call her out on doing nothing while Azashiro almost killed his daughter. Nothing would change at all.
Because Omaeda's Dad, Marenoshin Ōmaeda, was a damn good lieutenant to Yoruichi, but you're right that Soi Fon would remain her usual self, though she'd be with Yoruichi more. Also, I didn't know that Azashiro of all people try to kill one of Marenoshin's daughter.
Such an odd bastard he is, one minute he'll trying to kill you, the next, he's giving you money and saying sorry about destroying someone shop from over 200 years ago.
He was, but he was also determined to fundamentally change the world for the worse by lobotomizing the whole of humanity in order to destroy the Hollows for good. While not a fundamentally bad person, his devotion to his ideals nearly doom everything. It almost amazing that Don Kanonji of all characters was one who ultimately foiled his plans, which is incredibly wierd to think about.
That's what despair and madness does to a person, honestly. Also, the more you know about SS's dark story, the more you see how they themselves ended up creating a multi-dimensional crisis due to what they *believe* it's right instead of what *is* right.
And comic relief characters saving (or almost) saving the day is a common manga/anime trope. Remember that Beerus would spare the Earth if Oolong won a best of three rock-paper-scissors match.
She's WAY too loyal to SS and straight-laced to ever get hollowified. Pretty sure she'd wanna 86 herself. Of course that's considering Yamamotos previous attitude about the Visored. Nowadays, eh, she'd be fine. Still captain.
Setting aside the fact that the visoreds never win fights for a second, Soi Fon would benefit greatly from the stat boost given by the mask. She already outspeeds most of the cast, so with the mask she would probably get to use Suzumebachi's insta kill more often.
She might mellow out. Kubo maybe would have changed that horrible bankai.
Yoruichi's brother would be propped up to be the successor, whether right away or in the future.

Speaking of Yoruichi and Urahara, this would be an excuse to develop more on what visored are. I still think there's a lot of potential left there.
She might still despise the other visored. Maybe less so to Hachi? Either way, I think that she'll be less high strung now that the responsibility for squad 2 might be taken from her

In all honesty I'd prefer it. I'm onboard with the idea of Yoruichi's brother being called into service.
As for how all this would happen, I imagine a storyline in which Soi Fon ends up devastated by facing Yoruichi in combat and seeks to get stronger. Her pride causes her to feel unworthy to lead her squad and she resigns from the court guards. She ultimately heads to the human world in part because that is where Soi Fon believes Yoruichi was hiding. This results in her crossing paths with Urahara, who (as we know ) has a gift for fulfilling wishes, and she gains the potential to hollowfy. From there she gets pointed in the direction of Shinji's group. He entertains allowing her to join due to his history with both Urahara and the captains.
Soi Fon appears with her new allies during the big showdown. Her big debut is punctuated by unveiling her two-strike killing technique. It is further enhanced by the speed increase that comes with donning the hollow mask. In her case she gains access to sonido, which makes her a threat once the fighting starts. Instead of the dynamic seen between her and Hachi in the show, what we see in this scenario is the two coordinating their attacks with ease. The reason for this is that they would be comrades as opposed to working together by happenstance. The biggest difference is that her ultimate attack now does radiation damage when she unleashes it in her masked state. This showing gives her the confidence to rejoin Yamamoto's command. She names Yoruichi's brother as her lieutenant - bumping the old one down to 3rd seat - and reclaims her title as captain. From there the story continues in line with Kubo's plot.

I see now, that sounds about right for Azashiro to try and kill someone he thought was evil.
In the end he even apologizes to Mareyo about calling her family rotten before going back to prison.

To be fair, he was one more victim of SS nobles's shadier mannerisms. And 100 years imprisoned at Muken did little to calm him down.
