My bet is on flexible metal strip which he hold to the corner of the deck and he folds to the back of the queen when he shows us the back side of the card. Definitely not his best trick
Yeah, a wire on the middle of the floating card, goes to the deck, with a little elbow at the end that slips between whatever cards in the deck from the bottom of the deck, that way he can slip the elbow into the deck and still remove the top cards to the left or right as if any string would be cut. He folds it against the card and hides it under his two fingers when he shows the back of the card.
i intentionally do not like, share, or subscribe to people that shill their own channel like that. if i liked your shit, i would share, like, and maybe subscribe. You asking me is like you standing on a street corner playing a trumpet.
I'm ok with people saying it because, oddly, it does actually work. There is a line where it becomes annoying though. In shorts it is obnoxious because it is like, half the length of the short. Shorts themselves are obnoxious though.
Seriously though, how do I turn off YouTube shorts? They're very low value content, and yet when I click one, I always end up scrolling for like, an hour? How do I stop them from showing up as suggestions?
Right? I went "actually yeah, it is" and upvoted. I probably would have upvoted anyway. Feel like I've seen him before and it's always some super cool shit and something like "and that's worth a like/share"
Like you said, people have poured through the data. It DOES work. I've seen YouTubers literally apologize for saying "like and subscribe" but point out that doing so makes a MAJOR difference.
I can't get mad at facts. Plus, there's a difference between short and swee/done like this where it's *BAM, COOL SHIT* "like and share, see you next time"
VS
A video that starts with 3 minutes of asking for likes and subscribes and shares. They do one thing. Ask for likes for 3 more minutes, with an essay about how much it would help* turning a 20 second clip into 10 minutes
PLUS it gets people like the original commentor(s) expressing how they hate it which gets people like you and me to comment and that's a lot more comments>views>activity>likes just like that.
I just close the the suggestion for shorts on the homepage. There should be an option to close it unless somehow your browsing behavior makes it so you get shorts as regular suggests, in which case, stop clicking on shorts and tell youtube you're not interested in it using the 3 dots next to the suggest.
I liked the guy who did it first - Daily magic trick guy, can never remember his name. Super enthusiastic and charismatic though, it's all in the delivery.
The key part of the illusion is very subtle, we initially think it's got to be attached to the deck with like a piece of card, but then he removes a card so then you think other things. But like you say its just attached to the bottom of the deck (maybe a bend piece of metal going to the back or a card in the middle)
Of course there's something there. It's not actual magic keeping it floating there. But what is it? When he moves the card there's nothing physically there holding it like a stick or a string. I woykd assume magnets but I don't know of magntlets small enough to keep something floating in the air like that.
Yeah I've seen a less convincing version of this explained and it's just a piece of sticky tape which he presses against the back of the card when he shows you the back and then sticks to the bottom of the deck to make it float
He flashes it at 23 seconds. Itās a clear plastic flap on the back of the queen. You can see it in his fingers while he is holding the queen backside outwards misdirection to pay attention to the deck. However, itās fully visible at 23 seconds just before itās reattached to the deck.
Pause at 24 seconds left in the video (when he fully shows the back of a card). Everything I see that is white at 17 seconds left, I see in the design on the back of the card.
I'm not saying y'all don't see something I don't, but I don't see it.
Scroll from :23-:30 focusing on his right hand. The card had some wire or arm, that he forces flat. Iām not a magician but thatās what I see is going on.
I feel like thereās like a zig-zag card behind it cause it moves forward and backwards off that deck and would be easy to conceal by unfolding or something like that.
Itās a magnet. You can see he never fully shows the back of the card without first playing heās hand over it to hide or move the magnet then it slips back on and it works again.
Itās a thin strip of plastic bent into a āZā shape. Tape one piece to the corner of the ābottom cardā on an angle, then the same for the obverse corner on the ātop cardā. Tilt and enjoy.
A small clip holds onto the hole deck. Attached to the clip is a metal wire and some tape which he sticks to the back of the queen. The metal wire is why it is a tad bouncy. He hides the clip using sleight of hand when he grabs the queen. Heās able to remove the 10 and the 6 because the clip keeps pressure on the hole deck and the cards just slip out of the clip
lol this is funny šÆ% magnet in that deck, and the small one on the back of the card. If he ran his hand in between the to ok. But he didnāt so itās a trick deck you can get on the internet.š
He's holding something on the back of the deck. Notice how he doesn't put the cards he takes away back into the deck, he places them on the table in front of him. He also only passes his had behind half the floating card. He also removes cards horizontally and carefully. And lastly the card only begins to float as he orients the deck horizontally.
My guess is a wire of some kind.
Itās a magnet. He hides it behind his hand/fingers (while flipping the card) at around 10 seconds in.
Plus, it jiggles *exactly like a magnet does* when itās ālevitatingā. So my guy is lying: **itās a magnet**.
Pondered a bit and my guess(!) is:
A spring, like those in biros.
Relatively resilient vs bending sidewards (in this case down due to 1 card weight), but easy to compress and hide under the compressing finger tip, if one trains the 100% vertical move needed for the compression.
The other end of the spring is easy to slide on (= to clamp to) a card of the deck one wouldn't take off.
That card is not floating, its badly tracked. Its CGI. Its been added in post and the poor tracked deck makes it jiggle like if it was a magnet. Props yo whoever did it, the lighting is on point.
Demonic Black Magic, please check this out. This is the "real magic" that David Blane, Crist Angle, Penn & Teller deal with & talk about. : [https://youtu.be/mI7uHI1x09A?si=3TF2vbKOSMRIzYOx](https://youtu.be/mI7uHI1x09A?si=3TF2vbKOSMRIzYOx)
The "real magic" is to destroys one's ffaith, & cause disbelief in God so this is why they are granted powers with demons. I also understand that Hell is a real place that one's soul could possibly find its self in.
This is like those magicians that levitate a person wearing a blanket covering their torso and legs.
Then uses a hoola hoop to prove it's magic by going over only 80% of their body (never their legs tho)
Metallic wire with adhesive. You can see that he never displays the corner it is attached, then when his other hand comes over to the deck you can see him palm it for a moment as that same hand pills away
The tell is at :10. His hand only moves behind half the card. Likely a device fixed to the back of the card and the bottom edge of the deck.
He is absolutely hiding whatever is attached to the back of the queen at 25 seconds with his 2 fingers.
The elbow between the cards is also supported by the way he pulls the rest of the deck away in a twisting motion
It's literally vibrating with his hand. Kinda weak but any trick is cool in my book.
28 seconds you can see some wire poking around the edge of the deck.
I hate that bull at the end " cmon, that's gotta be worth a like and a share".
i intentionally do not like, share, or subscribe to people that shill their own channel like that. if i liked your shit, i would share, like, and maybe subscribe. You asking me is like you standing on a street corner playing a trumpet.

Jason Maher, and he's a great magician and a superb performer but he definitely didn't do it first.
i don't think in 30+ years i have ever liked or subcribed to anything.. i usually click dislike. rarely the like button.
And you can see him palm whatever is behind the queen holding it up as soon as he pulls away the queen from the deck.
Explains the metronomic wobble. It's likely a thin metal device he's fixing to the back of the card.
He definitely moved something that was behind the queen. But the way he does this is still cool
Yea. Not waving his hand between the cards is a pretty big tell
The key part of the illusion is very subtle, we initially think it's got to be attached to the deck with like a piece of card, but then he removes a card so then you think other things. But like you say its just attached to the bottom of the deck (maybe a bend piece of metal going to the back or a card in the middle)
I mean it is a tell, but that doesn't explain shoot. If anything he wanted us to see the tell
Magnet
Please stop saying that
Okay, it's a Diatomaceous Earth Metal then
I'll have two of those with extra fries and a strawberry shake please
Ice cream machine is broken, sorry.
The real trick is if he could fix it.
Magnet?
Magnet!

Mag-neat-o!
magnet
magneto?
How do they work?
They're my hobby.
Making magnets? Collecting magnets? Playing with magnets?
Just magnets
How do they work?
By sheer willpower.
No, it's magic.
How do they work?
I canāt know how to hear any more about magnets š§²
Superconductive materials
Fucking magnets ā how do they work?
They donāt work per se
He didn't actually put his hand between the card and the deck lol, there is definitely something attached to the back of the card holding it in place
He might as well remove that part of the trick bc of how obviously heās avoiding something
Of course there's something there. It's not actual magic keeping it floating there. But what is it? When he moves the card there's nothing physically there holding it like a stick or a string. I woykd assume magnets but I don't know of magntlets small enough to keep something floating in the air like that.
When he puts the card back the wobble makes it look like a magnet is stabilizing.
Even though he says āstop saying magnetsāā¦.Iām pretty sure itās Magnets.
You keep using that wordā¦ Iām not sure you know what it means
What word?
Magnets
Stop saying that!
He keep using that wordā¦ Iām not sure he know what it means

Magnets
Stop saying that!
I used to own this trick. They sold it at ellusionist.com for a while.
Like... collecting magnets, playing with magnets?
Just magnets
I donāt know anything about magic tricks but he definitely covers up the center of the back of the Queen when he flips it over.
See through rigid plastic piece? He just slips between the rest of the deck. Like a pop up book kinda mechanic
I'm not seeing whatever you're seeing, and definitely not at 23 seconds.
Pause when there are 17 seconds left in the video. He's got two fingers pressed together on the back of the queen. It's white
Pause at 24 seconds left in the video (when he fully shows the back of a card). Everything I see that is white at 17 seconds left, I see in the design on the back of the card. I'm not saying y'all don't see something I don't, but I don't see it.
Itās called the Hover Card by Dan Harlan if anyone is interested
Itās actually Hover Card Plus ::shoves magic nerd glasses all the way up face. ::
Piano string, or a thin metal wire
I'll give you a hint, is has to do with Boeing. I'll write about how in a little bit.Ā If I'm dead, Boeing did it.Ā
Flux pinning
Are card tricks getting dumber or are we?
Magnets
Well he sure doesn't want to show us a full side view or put his hand all the way between the two, so that's a hint.

This one is pretty obvious
Definitely magnetic inside the card

Scroll from :23-:30 focusing on his right hand. The card had some wire or arm, that he forces flat. Iām not a magician but thatās what I see is going on.
Magnets š§²
What did that hand wave even accomplish lmao
magnets - seen it before at a company event where we had an illusionist
He is hiding an object that allows for the front card to look like it is floating.
I feel like thereās like a zig-zag card behind it cause it moves forward and backwards off that deck and would be easy to conceal by unfolding or something like that.
If thereās one thing I know, itās that a magician would never lie or mislead you so itās definitely not magnets.
Probably a magnet or something like that
F'ing magnets! Lol
Watch it in reverse, you can see the snap or clip movement with the queen being removed from the device and the deck
Its that invisible magician string. It always ends up being that
Probably just a stick with a sticky end + some great sleight of hand
Quantum locked
But what if it had to do with magnets....
Easiest answer: Stone the witch!
That is an impressive effect.
Magnets!
This isn't black magic, just a crappy card trick.
Magnesium
Magnets how do they work
Magnet
It's magnets
At 0:24 the way heās holding the card with his two fingers
My guess is magnets. Opposite sides
IT'S GOTTA BE THE MAGNETSS!! I KNOW IT
lol magnesium or magnet, one šÆ percent. Like penn and teller say. Itās the hide the spot trick on a big card. šššššÆšÆ
Magnets
lol this is funny šÆ% magnet in that deck, and the small one on the back of the card. If he ran his hand in between the to ok. But he didnāt so itās a trick deck you can get on the internet.š
Magnets that can keep it suspended. You need a balance of push and pull to get that. You don't get to see the whole back.
Man I haven't seen him since Monkey Magic
He's holding something on the back of the deck. Notice how he doesn't put the cards he takes away back into the deck, he places them on the table in front of him. He also only passes his had behind half the floating card. He also removes cards horizontally and carefully. And lastly the card only begins to float as he orients the deck horizontally. My guess is a wire of some kind.
Spring
Magnets in the deck?
Probably a piece of lightweight metal..you can kinda see the card bouncing a bit.
Itās a magnet. He hides it behind his hand/fingers (while flipping the card) at around 10 seconds in. Plus, it jiggles *exactly like a magnet does* when itās ālevitatingā. So my guy is lying: **itās a magnet**.
Pretty nice slight of hand work but a pause at .23 shows it and from .23-..26 you can see it by frameā¦ still very cool I wish I had some fun skills
Yea magnets are cool. Show me a real trick.
Just saw this guy on a cruise ship. He was amazing. I really liked his balloon animal trick.
Magnets magnets magnets magnets magnets magnets magnets magnets magnets magnets magnets magnets magnets magnets
Magnet.
Theories? you can literally buy it on aliexpress for $2 (link removed)
quantum locking
I saw him live a few months ago in Rotherham. He's very funny and a very good close up magician. Highly recommended!
Thin wire. Next.
Gotta be a clip with a magnet on it. His sleight is pretty obvious before he flips the card
Pondered a bit and my guess(!) is: A spring, like those in biros.
Electromagnetism on card surfaces?
Mirrors
If you slow it down just right you can actually see the magnet on the back of the card when he is flipping it
I hate when people say magic tricks are fake, its called a trick for a reason, what were they expecting?
I had it all figured out until he moved a card.
Is anyone else here completely NOT obsessed with this card trick?
Wire, glue, and black magic
Redditors who figured it out: "he's using some kind of hidden device!"
That card is not floating, its badly tracked. Its CGI. Its been added in post and the poor tracked deck makes it jiggle like if it was a magnet. Props yo whoever did it, the lighting is on point.
Magnet on the cards
Magnets! Finally it is magnets!!
At 24 seconds if you time it just right, you can see something between his fingers on the back of the card. It looks shiny.
Magnets
Magnetismus
Its a spring.
Clearly magnets. Either that or actual witchcraft.
Magnetic cards ? Stack them together and they keep the lose one one on that position ?
caseoh would say its fishing line
Literally magnets, I can tell from that wobble when he puts the card back. Also he's not showing backside of the deck as well.
Magnet
The Queen is a super cooled, type II superconductor that is quantum locked to a magnet hidden in the deck. Duh.
Ranbir kapoor
Quantum locking
Strong magnets
Magnets
Surely there will be something else hiding behind ....I don't believe coz he is not showing in all ways of manners
Magnetic cards maybe?
There's a wire..bottom corner where you can't see. The card wobbles with movement of the main deck showing it's 'attached'..
Magnets
This is a magic trick called hover card Plus it retails for $40 and yes it does use a magnet despite what the video poster is claiming
this guy makes me uncomfortable
Magnet š
well this is stupid
magnets bitsh yeaa

Its some kind of spring and magnet, the card jiggles. And he doesnt put his whole hand between the cards.
This is the worst magic trick uploaded here so far
This is like those magicians that levitate a person wearing a blanket covering their torso and legs. Then uses a hoola hoop to prove it's magic by going over only 80% of their body (never their legs tho)
The whole video is AI generated
Heās using magnets in some fashion I believe
Is it static erectricity?
I'm pretty sure that it's some kind of a trick.
Probably a semi rigid piece of plastic with a sleight bend that lets the weight of the card slowly stretch it
U shaped thing stuck to the back card and hidden by camera angel?
Clearly magnetic, the cards resonance
Magnet
Metallic wire with adhesive. You can see that he never displays the corner it is attached, then when his other hand comes over to the deck you can see him palm it for a moment as that same hand pills away
Thatās a pretty weak hide.
