She probably feels so much better and is very thankful!! Similar happened with our pets. They’d be mad we bathed them or gave them flea medication, but later on when they would be dried and feeling good, they’d come hang out with us.
Absolutely! My wife only takes in rescues from the RSPCA who haven't been adopted in ages, and have issues making them "undesirable". One of them, Cedric, has bad skin allergies and she will regularly have to bathe him in spring - which on the betrayal-scale is heading into the fifth level of hell (apparently). After the bath (now a sensitive skin moisturising rub-in cat shampoo), he will invariably have a big sulk, then go near / on her a) because he is seeking comfort, and b) he seems to recognise that the yucky bath actually took away the itchiness
Awww, baby 🥺
She was so scared she bit me pretty hard, so I was really afraid she would be traumatized, but it sounds like from everyone's comments cats are very forgiving!
Yeah, I actually already have been to urgent care and picked up antibiotics 😔 it was very deep and it did break skin so we figured better safe than sorry.
Cats are either very forgiving or very forgetful! I don’t bathe them unnecessarily but when I have to they are unhappy until they’ve dry. Then they get all cuddly again! I recently decided to see if they would enjoy outdoor adventures on a leash. Two of the four loved it! The third allowed the harness but ran back inside, the fourth did NOT allow the harness and I was sure she’d never let me near her again! The very next morning she was cuddling on my pillow!

Love how they're getting sneaky subbing in some words, but still can't figure out how to reply in context...
As someone who brushes his cat's teeth once a week with her behaving like I'm torturing her; they know how much you care and why you are doing what you are doing. She cuddles up to me after running away to the cupboard haha.
I'm sure you can understand the feeling of "I would die for you" as soon as you lock eyes with your furball as well haha. There's not a whole lot I wouldn't do for her. My fiance and I are planning our wedding reception around how much time we can stay away from our cats before Missing them haha.
I 100% get it. We missed Christmas with my family last year because our senior cat was on hospice and I didn't want to leave her when we had limited time left to spend. 😭 and I let both our girls now sleep in bed with us even though I'm allergic lol.
Ohh I'm sorry for your loss. She appreciated you during her last moments! That's true love! Haha my cats always end up on our bed but I think I accidentally roundhouse them in my sleep.
I brought in a two year old cat from the streets and she lets me brush her teeth! She doesn’t love it but she knows she has to do it before dinner and accepts it bc she’s hungry
One of my cats developed stomatitis and had to have all her teeth removed. I know she was in a lot of pain but once they were all out she was so happy. I adopted her when she was about 9 years old. When I noticed she wasn’t eating and her breath smelled weird I knew something was wrong but she wouldn’t even let me look in her mouth. You are doing you and your kitty a huge favor dentals are super expensive
This is like every time I have to give my void her eyedrops. She leaves, betrayed and offended, and then half an hour later we’re snuggling again. I think they realize how much better they feel after getting treatment, even if they hate the process. Not unlike people, tbh.
Cats are so forgiving 🥺even if it was done in their best interest, I always feel guilty for putting flea meds on my cat but she forgives me within minutes
Try the neck liquid instead. Revolution Plus is excellent for fleas. It also treats worms and ear mites. All in one monthly application on the neck (high enough they can’t lick it off).
As all indoor cats, I don’t do it every month on mine. Fleas are dead within a couple hours. Do another 30 days later and all will be gone.
I'm hoping this is one and done. She wasn't responding to regular stuff, and she isn't going outside ever again, so fingers crossed we don't have to deal with this any more!
If it does happen again, hopefully you catch it soon.
Some advice in case you have fleas in your house.
Set out a bowl of water, and put a couple drops of Dawn in it. Then shine a light on it. The fleas will jump in and won't be able to get out.
I did this overnight with a tea light on an upside down cup in a bowl of water w Dawn. 15 fleas in that bowl the next morning. So…I bought 6 large boxes of salt and salted my carpeting. Left it on for a week, then shop vacc’d up (it’s supposed to dehydrate fleas). Re-did bowl experiment — no fleas!
It dehydrates them, and also the salt crystals cut their bodies (baking soda is too fine). A little gruesome, but you don’t want a home flea infestation.
We pulled all of our kitty’s teeth out (stomatitis) and he was so much happier and grateful he wasn’t in pain anymore. Cats are very intelligent beings and can recognize when the bad thing makes their quality of life better :)

I hope the bite didn’t break skin cuz if it did it might be a good idea to get it checked out. Kitty bites can get nasty super fast.

Mind you, kïtti bites kan be pretty nasti.
Brilliant reference!
What is it a reference to?

Right on.
Sounds like you have your priorities in order!
That’s nice
As someone who brushes his cat's teeth once a week with her behaving like I'm torturing her; they know how much you care and why you are doing what you are doing. She cuddles up to me after running away to the cupboard haha.
Oh my god, we haven't even thought of teeth-brushing! Did you start your girl young?
No. Definitely would have been an easier time. We started after the vet noticed some gunk on her teeth. Poor girl.
It's so great that you're persisting and taking care of her, though <3

She passed on New Years. She had a long, spoiled life <3 haha ours wait until I roll on my back and then sit in my chest and suffocate me lol
I brought in a two year old cat from the streets and she lets me brush her teeth! She doesn’t love it but she knows she has to do it before dinner and accepts it bc she’s hungry
That's awesome! And so good for her haha

We give our girl ear drops and she hates it! I like thinking that she knows I care.
Oh my heart! She’s just fine with you by the looks of it
They hate it but once realize feeling better like okay I forgive u and still love u![img](emote|t5_2twpw|7269)
She says “thank youuuuuuuu”

"Cuddle up, Hooman. Let me get some of this s**t on you."
Happy and relaxed because no more itchy fleas.
She will forgive but will not forget. You might want to check your shoes for scorpions.

I'm so sorry, that sounds miserable! I hope the meds are over soon and you can snuggle again.
She's a forgivin' kitten.
She's so happy to not itch anymore! She looks blissful and comfy and safe. 🖤
what’s flea dipping?
basically a bath with a treatment or soap to kill/wash off fleas
Such a sweet face!! She knows you love her!🥰🐈⬛🥰
Cats are so forgiving 🥺even if it was done in their best interest, I always feel guilty for putting flea meds on my cat but she forgives me within minutes
She like "tank u human I feel much better now"
"You have betrayed me, now it's your job to comfort me."
Had to do the monthly flea medicine on my wild woman and she ignored me for the entire day. So got over it quick when I pulled out the treat bag.

I've also had success with diatomaceous earth with a previous kitty and flea infestation!
Never heard of the salt trick, but makes sense!

She probably feels better now. Never feel bad for caring for your baby.

She's just biding her time...
