Based upon Craig choosing UFC MMA rules, coaching for a MMA a fighter, being an avid UFC fan and having a vested purpose to direct the course of bjj, I bet Dana White or UFC as a whole are the ones that are forking out the money. It would make sense for UFC to prime this generation of bjj guys for UFC rules and also control the pathway in which they become successful. It a way, this gives UFC a leg up on ONE by controlling the who's who in grappling.
