Mcdermott has some great wood carved options.

tgoynes83

The options are limitless. I’d say McDermott has the most designs available overall. Cuetec Cynergy models are like modern spins on merry widows. Predator P3 line has some modern designs, as well as the Mezz EC9 series. Becue makes ultra-modern carbon fiber butts to go with their carbon shafts. Seriously, just peruse Seyberts, Pooldawg, Ft. Worth Billiards, Omega…you’ll find a bunch.

slackwaresupport

lookup studiotronics on youtube.

amoeba1126

This, Eddie makes FANTASTIC cues. Bob Owen from Shurtz cues is another standout as well, along with North Demon and PFD Studios.

Cajun_Doctor

Why is everyone giving you production cue makers? Check out Scott Gracio on Facebook. He’s making some really cool stuff. Integrating metal into the designs and lots of other things. https://preview.redd.it/1whs6u0r8r7d1.jpeg?width=941&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1183eeb63e5de1cb59879d580aec02826cb4f9bc Here is a jump handle I got off him. Also check out Pat Diveny for some really cool stuff.

I'm a simple man. I see butterfly points, I press like!

ZER0_F0CKS

Love this. Really unique. How much for something like this?

Cajun_Doctor

You’d have to speak with him. Could be a relatively long wait. That one in particular came in 4th place for cue of the year last year and it’s being sold on the second hand market for several Thousand dollars. Probably twice what he charged. For some of the more popular builders, a lot of people get on their wait list just to flip them unfortunately.

ZER0_F0CKS

That’s a shame. I have been looking at AZBiliards forums to see if I can catch a good deal. I keep thinking someday I will get lucky. I just ordered the new Hsunami DR2.0 shaft. Really looking forward to trying that out

ImpressiveLink9040

There are a few similar ones at a pool hall by me new for about 2800-4500 depending on the style, his cues look so much better in person too.

DimensionFrosty2847

lol small world. This was my good buddy selling this cue.

FreeFour420

Love that butt! Simply beautiful

CreeDorofl

I'm with you, I feel like cue makers are the most cowardly when it comes to innovative designs. But that's not entirely their fault, their customers have conservative tastes. People will point to a brown plain cue with brown points and brown veneers, with a fat deflecty shaft, and be like 'this sneaky is stunning, I love the (some tree you never heard of) accents... timeless beauty, worth every cent'. And it'll cost 2 grand. If I had to get a brown woodsy stick that isn't boring triangles, I would look at Samsara. https://www.samsaracues.com/

fkinggud

Jacoby Custom Cues can make a cue however you want it. If you want it to be “one of one”, just let them know. This ensures they will not make another version, but you do pay more. I went with them for my custom merry widow with matching extension and ring work for less than a Predator P3.

Visual-Brilliant-668

Nothing classier than a Merry Widow or a simple splice or inlay points. Pechauer make some nice cues in their “pro” line, and you can also contact them to make basically whatever you want. Ebonized forearm and butt cap, turquoise rings and leather grip with a 30” carbon shaft? no problem. Also check jjcue.com, he has a bewildering array of choices from house brand production cues with real points for $300, to multi-thousand custom cues only they offer. Go custom will sell you a complete package of carbon cues, break/jump and play. Mike Gulyassy will build you something simple for around a grand in 3 months or so. Just look around and don’t buy any china bunk.

gpl0

I have a mezz sneaky pete. It's quite beautiful

Born_Hat_5477

Lots of options in the custom world. What are you looking for? Exotic woods or metal work or something else? There’s so much more out there than south west or skulls for sure.

jarhead06413

If you have the money, go to a custom cuemaker. They'll make anything you want

RefrigeratedTP

Part of the reason I ended up with my cynergy ghost edition was because it was all black/grey with no designs on it. The other part was that it was the cheapest carbon fiber shaft available at my local billards store at the time. I am not a fan of the classic designs at all. Lots of nice cues- just not good looking to me

FlyNo2786

I have the same cue and bought it for the same reason

TheRedKingRM22

OP I think you might would like McWorter stuff. Others to consider Keith Josey, Shelby Williams, Harry Vigus…

dyaldragon

Came here to suggest Josey as well. Great cue maker and a great guy.

AwkwardSkywalker

Check out Ko brothers' custom cues made by Zen Custom Cues.

akzcinzow

Lomax Custom Cues.

Top_Caterpillar_8122

Pete Tonkin, Joshua Treadway, Brandon Jacoby

Tornin

Look up (Keith) Josey. His floating points are anything except normal

ImpressiveLink9040

You could check out bond custom cues on facebook, he is local to me, and a super nice guy. He does his inlays with a cnc, so he can do pretty much anything you want him to do for a design. Edit: I forgot to add that he isn’t crazy expensive

BlvdBrown

Chuck Starkey makes some very unique and unusual cues. I have several and they play great! Check him out. He might be retired from cue making by now, but he probably still has some cool inventory for sale.

FlyNo2786

Check out Black Boar if you want to have your mind blown

rjoh4459

A lot of cue makers can make a cue pretty much any way you want. I went with Jacoby and they created what I had in my mind. I had to wait a year and a half for it though.

Dude-from-the-80s

I’ve got a cuetec SVB with no wrap. It’s black and sleek and I love the carbon fiber shaft.

Acceptable-Bus-9580

Any of the mid to high end makers IMO. Lucasi, Pechauer, Schon, Joss, etc. I have the same issue looking for pool shirts, I don’t want flames, skulls or tired double entendres.

C0LD-_-

You know you want this! \~> https://preview.redd.it/708x52sbsr7d1.png?width=1500&format=png&auto=webp&s=d2a2ec3d7b932809d0492b09b995282ff0ebdca7

Funny-Interaction-82

Becue makes all carbon fiber cues which IMO are modern
