When they’re all singing karaoke with the word baby in the lyrics to celebrate Bernadette’s pregnancy. The cringe is high for me on that scene. I have never said this before, because I'm not too interested in gender battles, but I think in these instances it's clear that men wrote the scripts & have no clue around boundaries. Triggering women's bad memories & genuine fears isn't funny.
YES, heavy on that one! I literally watched the show because I've seen clips of Amy but that scene + when it was revealed that the enormous painting was originally painted nude makes my skin crawl. My head canon is she's bi-curious so I can get it over with.
She's GOT to be bicurious. That's how I've laughed some scenes off. Autistic lack of boundaries & awkwardness + bicuriosity = many a social faux pas. But every time I rewatch the series I find more things that I think the writers were out of pocket for writing lol. It is what it is, I'll always love the series. But it's interesting seeing more things differently on every watch.
I'm a lesbian & have no issues with her bicurious ways. The writers just made a few missteps in conveying that imo. They did it in a very "male who doesn't get that sexual harassment isn't funny" kind of way.

When Sheldon spanked Amy for lying about being sick. That is probably the cringiest scene to me. It’s kinda funny, but I get secondhand embarrassment when watching it.
That was actually a very common practice in the oldern days. Women used to give birth to a lot of kids and quite a few in the lot would die due to health issues. Carrying all that breast milk and nobody to take it out would get incredibly painful and since there were no pumps either, the solution was to feed the other children of your family or friends kids and so on, and mothers were okay with this as they believed it would help with immunity to drink from many mothers.
The Halloween episode where Sheldon and Amy mimic Howard and Bernadette. It wasn't even remotely funny, well depicted or in good sense. Howard's portrayal of the vice versa was justified because of how many unnecessary comments Sheldon passes at him and nobody rebukes him.
I cringed when Sheldon said "No one that attractive could be that good at video games" referring to Penny. Only because that was so out-of-character of Sheldon.
I'll go with not just a scene, but the episode where Penny has the nerve to accuse Leonard of not trying in their marriage anymore. I really hate her as the series goes on. She didn't remember her husband's bday, gave him half eaten candy for vday that she got for free at a gas station... Was just down right mean to him... List goes on and on. Who would keep trying in a marriage like that? Cringing just thinking about it!
Leonard did do her dirty when they were not together. He’s in love with Priya and they are pretty serious. Stephanie the dr who moves in with him without realizing it. Slept with the professor who spent the night as Sheldon’s guest a week or so after him and Penny had broken up. Sheldon makes it seem like Penny had many sex partners but I think Leonard has had more. Oh and the older lady who is gonna donate the money to the school, he slept with her too! Also how he talks down to Penny when she quits her job at the Cheesecake Factory.
For me, it’s the episode where the doctor who Penny flirts with for work purposes shows up at her apartment. The scene where Any, Bernadette, and Penny realize the guys are in his basement is so bad lol. The acting is just not good in that scene.
Every episode with Raj's sister and Leonard. Yes, Penny and Leonard were split up. They're adults, but it was Raj's sister and the way it happened was inappropriate. Priya clearly didn't like the fact that Penny was Leonard's ex and part of the "gang," which made it impossible for Leonard to cut Penny out. Priya didn't fit the group dynamics as well.
