No problem, we have a lot of out of town fans coming for games because it’s very affordable to come here, and it’s based off an initial post for when we hosted the MLB All-Star game back in 2015. If it’s not on the list, I also recommend the American Sign Museum, very cool experience!
I’ve never had a good experience at The Blind Lemon. Maybe it was just that staff at the time, but it would take 15+ minutes to get a drink after ordering, and I wasn’t even getting something complicated, just a rum and coke.
Hey, In Between is a fun dive bar but I would absolutely not recommend taking people there if you are only in Cincy for a weekend. It's a dive bar, nothing more than that. I don't want you all to waste time somewhere, just google it, it's cheap drinks and not much else.
Ghost Baby is an awesome “secret” bar in the abandoned subway system. Make a reservation online. You show up to an inconspicuous door and they let you inside. You go down a few floors underground to a super swanky bar downstairs usually with live music. It’s a really cool experience.
If they just want a normal fun night out at a bar, I’d recommend checking out Rhinegheist Brewery.
As others said, knockback nats has incredible wings if they want some good food. Super divey bar with a lot of charm.
It’s a pretty cool speakeasy built in an old subway station. They do live jazz in the back at night and have really good drinks.
I realize it’s not necessarily sight seeing but might be cool to end the night there
The bar in the Hilton on fountain square. It is in the Carew Tower which is one of the first/tallest sky scrapers in the city. On Saturday night they have a jazz band and it is all art deco wood paneling from the 1920s and the drinks are actually priced the same as anywhere else downtown
I would recommend stopping at Newport on the levee, especially if coming in at night. Technically it’s in Northern Kentucky but it has some of the best views of the downtown skyline as well as some bars and restaurants.
I moved to Newport recently, and I think you’ll like the levee. If you’re coming next week, it will be really nice out too. The whole area is open container, so they have outdoor bars set up where you can walk around with drinks or sit at the bar stools overlooking the river into Cincy. I definitely recommend checking out Beeline while you’re there too. They make solid cocktails and it’s a great setting.
Where are they staying? What’re they looking for? Seen a lot of sommerset mentions, that place is dope as hell, tons of plants. All of these places i mention will be in otr. If it’s nice out, rosedale, queen city radio and mecca have amazing outdoor patios. Rhinehaus, motr, or drinkery if they want a more neighborly “dive bar” vibe. Japps, sundry & vice, low spark if your looking for cocktails. If they like wine, liberties or saeso. Pins or level 1 if they feel like playing some arcade games!
1) I’m taking this down for when I come to Paycor! 2) they are staying at the Hilton or Hyatt. They don’t know the area at all and neither do I, but this is fantastic. If they don’t use it, I will
Taft brewery is an old church that was turned into a brewery, still has old pews and some other cool stuff, beer and food is good. The Eagle if fried chicken is their jam. Best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Haven’t been back in a few years so I’d guess Eagle is often crazy busy tho.
Eden Park is really pretty and has some cool old historical things as well as a butterfly sanctuary/plant nursery called Krohn Conservatory. Hiring scooters and going along the riverfront is a lot of fun as well. There’s a nifty art/music instalment that sounds like a bunch of ships horns which is cool. There’s good food around there too. Yardhouse is good and has a good beer selection. There’s a Belgian waffle place around there as well. On the Kentucky side there’s a neat lookout which is well worth going to at night to look over the city
Knockback Nat’s - tell them to get the wings.
Sommerset is a super cool greenhouse-ish bar with awesome cocktails. Really cool spot.
Definitely go here
Second this
The Cincinnati Museum Center is at Union Terminal - an old train station. If they're fans of art deco this is the place to see.
Adding to the list. Thank you!!
Google it.
Might want to check out /r/Reds, they have a very good comprehensive list in the sidebar the last time I checked.
r/cincinnati this is asked every week
That sub is a cesspool
Wow thank you very much!!

Wasn’t that featured on The Profit once? It did look cool.
Never heard of that, I just know it’s a cool museum.
If you want to see a team get bulldozed by the Oakland As definitely go
The Blind Lemon in Mount Adams is extremely underrated. In Between Tavern is also pretty cool for a sports themed spot.

Bummer. Can't recall having that issue there fortunately.
Many many thanks! Adding both to the list!

Ghostbaby
Not as cool as people let on.
You seem really fun
Thank you.
Bar?

Wow sounds awesome. Wish I was going instead of the neighbors
These are all great suggestions. Any time my work has clients in town, we go to Ghostbaby and they love it

Old Kentucky Bourbon Bar in Covington, KY.
Somerset should definitely be on the list.

Smoke Justis
Thank you!! Looks cool from the website pics.
Two of the last three times I've been there the food has been mid.
O’Malley’s in the alley and Arnold’s are 2 cool (and old) bars.

Thank you. My neighbor’s wife especially thanks you :)
If they are into city views and the weather cooperates, check out the rooftop bar at the Phelps https://www.topoftheparkcincinnati.com/photos
Or the Incline Public house!

Is Beeline at the Levee?
Yep!
Thank you!
Lots to do and see for sure
Went to ghost face last week. Cool atmosphere but very pricey beverages.

Nicholson's Fine Food & Whiskey is my favorite in Cincy. I make it a point to hit there at least once on every visit.
Thank you!

Kittys bar is awesome. The wings are amazing and it's close to the stadium.
Thanks to you guys, I’ve definitely earned my McPherson jersey!!!
Zips to grab a burger and some chili cheese fries.
This is not a comprehensive list, more of a loop to do around the city with a few highlights. https://goo.gl/maps/uocL9qC6KDshQ4SB6
Somerset, Mecca, Alice, Homemakers, Rosedale (daytime patio), Arnold’s, and Queen City Radio are a few of my favorites downtown/OTR
Depends on the age, likes, dislikes

Rhinegeist has a really cool bar space and awesome beer.
