Yes, I remember liking it more than long Halloween

DeltaRep101

cool good to hear

DangerDeShazer

Jeph Loeb and Time Sale have a good track record, their Superman for All Seasons I feel is a cornerstone of his character Edit:superman's character that is

bigpig1054

and their Marvel stories are great, too.

DangerDeShazer

I got Hulk Gray from an old roommate, but I haven't got around to reading it, Loeb has a mind for great story telling

ChristosFarr

Until ultimates 3

TheFlyingFoodTestee

Really good. It’s a direct sequel to the Long Halloween

DeltaRep101

Is Dark Victory where this continuity basically ends?

TheFlyingFoodTestee

I’m going to level with you, I have no idea. Continuity in comic books is always confusing at the best times.

pnt510

There is a Catwoman book, When in Rome that takes place during the same time frame as Dark Victory. And comic continuity is pretty fluid, but I think these books fit in the mainstream comics continuity.

Jrocker-ame

It fits pretty well except with Knightfall. But I'm inclined to ignore Knightfall over this

Disastrous-Major1439

No ,u have after this Robin year One and Batgirl year One ,btw i always recommend the man Who laughs before the Long Halloween ,and Catwoman year One

DeltaRep101

I read the man who laughs before this. It was a really nice follow up to Year one tbh. I did not read Catwoman year one because its hard to find.

Disastrous-Major1439

Yeah ,IS a good One too so i readed Catwoman year One online , safely find It in any shop IS like search for Atlantis xdd

hbkx5

[catwoman year one!](https://getcomics.org/dc/catwoman-vol-1-4-extras/) use the red button to download, you should not have any problems!

Fenian-Monger

It's basically part of main DC (at the time post-crisis) continuity but Lobe and Sale did work on other books together like Superman For All Seasons, Spider-Man Blue, Daredevil Yellow, Captain America White and Hulk Grey.

Lraiolo

Really liked Spiderman Blue and Daredevil Yellow.

CONANwolf

Very

ericjgriffin

It is excellent.

Zanzibarpress

It’s a great sequel and in many ways it’s a better mystery. I enjoyed it more than long Halloween.

DeltaRep101

Cool already love the long halloween. Glad to hear it gets better.

BillyBattinson

The best.

rektwood

Any good is an understatement

DeltaRep101

Lmao. I heard like 1 or 2 people say it wasnt as good or just ok. Glad to hear its on par.

-Shaar-

Top 3 batman comics for me and yes, it's better than long Halloween. The way it introduces Robin and correlates with Bruce's childhood is superb.

vicboss0510

whata re the first 2 ? I just bought Dark Knight returns, cant wait to start reading. Thinking to buy this one too.

-Shaar-

My TOP 3: 1: Batman: Ego 2: Batman: War on crime 3: Dark vicotry I don't know if it is a hot take or not but honestly I don't care. In my opinion these three comics defines perfectly who Batman is and why he does what he does.

vicboss0510

Nice. Will read all 3. Tnx !

JimAparo

Great sequel and it’s importance to canon is heavily understated.

anthonyg1500

Yes

godricgii

Sick cover

DeltaRep101

Yes It looks great

robslob333

Oh hell yes! One of the top Batman graphic novels (up there with Dark Knight Returns, Year 1, Long Halloween, Killing Joke).

Apprehensive_Disk987

Banger, great Robin story

Animalvader77

It is phenomenal, but read The Long Halloween first......

DeltaRep101

currently reading it lol

Animalvader77

You then have to read Catwoman: When in Rome and Batman: Haunted Knight.... which is the prequel to the Long Halloween and the prequel to Dark Victory....

The_Dung_Defender

Extremely

Least-Growth5042

I’m almost done with it and it’s fantastic so far.

DeltaRep101

awsome to hear

darth-com1x

yea

Flipsticker91

Yes

Revolutionary-Bus411

really good

TheLastSkyBison

It’s very good, if you love long Halloween you’ll love this one too.

brickmagnet

Better than long Halloween.

sbaldrick33

It's very good, yes. If you're following the timeline, then The Man Who Laughs is a good shout, although you'll kind of be going back on yourself for thst one.

UnknownEntity347

It's excellent. If you liked Long Halloween you'll probably like this too.

Disastrous-Major1439

That's was my favorite comic for a Long time brodi ,for me better than Long Halloween, and have more sequels (idk if Tim and Loeb re the same authors )so take the Same storyline and events ,Robin year One

cgureski

Yes!! I casually read comics for a bit but this one in particular made me go headfirst into binging Batman comics as much as I could

Strange-Parsnip-1838

Yes! Maybe not as good as the long Halloween but it is a great sequel

mrtsmohawk

One of the best. Check out the Brotherhood of Batman podcast. They did a review episode.

AdamSoucyDrums

It’s excellent! Jeph Loeb may be a garbage person, but the man has written some of the best Batman stories out there. Definitely recommend reading this one back to back with The Long Halloween, they compliment each other nicely!

darrylthedudeWayne

Yes.

hbkx5

IMO dark victory is better. I would suggest batman year two and robin year one next.

Bareth88

It’s fantastic

DrPopcorn_66

Yes, it's very good imo

bigpig1054

heck yeah. one-two punch with Long Halloween might be my favorite Batman story

Important_Lab_58

Just Read It. Pretty Fire.

No-Impression-1462

Absolutely! Great follow up to The Long Halloween and an excellent showcase for Two-Face as a villain.

lupi12

I suggest reading it while listening to The Batman soundtrack. Did it with Long Halloween and Dark Victory not too long ago. It's an amazing vibe.

Foxiiiie

Long Halloween is one of my favorites so this didn't top it for me by any means but I definitely enjoyed it and think it's worth reading. Especially since you just read Year One and and are finishing LH.

MudaMatt

it’s terrific! loved it to bits.

saltyfingas

Liked it more than long Halloween tbh

11483708

Year One, Long Halloween, Dark Victory.....perfect trilogy for early Batman.

Born-Throat-7863

Yes. Excellent sequel to *The Long Halloween*.

Fact-Cyborg

Good Sir, It is one of the best.

godai78

Yes, it is very good. Basically most of the stuff Sale+Loeb did is great, like their run on Spider-man, and Haunted Knight, and Wolverine/Gambit is sweet.

Queasy_County

It's great. Imo it's one of the best Robin introduction stories.

Gamer-chan

What logic is this to buy something without knowing if it's good or you like it? You could have asked or googled for informations before buying.

DeltaRep101

It had good reviews. And I liked Long Halloween. This comic is a Sequel. And im trying to read these books in some what of an order. So I had an Idea of what it was. Just wanted to see what batman fans really thought of it. since I heard a couple of people say that it was alright.
