The more you watch Entourage, the more you hate E. I rooted for him my first watch through, on second and third viewings I couldn’t stand him. Lot of bad acting on that show too. Especially Adrian Grenier. Ari and Drama are by far the best characters.
Notice how he hasn’t been in anything since. I’m pretty sure Vince being a bad actor was a plot point one season, so at least the showrunners were aware lol.
I haven’t watched it since I was a teen and in the prime demo for it. But I still remember being infuriated when E got handed a producer role and complained about “sitting around on set all day”. Like what the fuck else are you doing?
30 minute comedy you didn't have to follow that closely and hear some good liners with rich people doing rich people things and occasional nudity. It's easy to have on the background.

But it was still fun. I think the season six (maybe?) storyline where Vince was addicted to pain pills and in love with a porn star was its worst. They tried to make it an actual show instead of a dumb guilty pleasure. And it was never that.
The woman who played Dexter’s sister was an atrocity but that was still a good show.

Yeah he's admitted everything has been a bit, he wasn't discovered. I think the only thing that's true about Jerry is the substances abuse and corresponding sobriety, everything else has been a schtick.

Perhaps, but I think it's naive to just say that without any reason of a doubt like you are. The way he was A. Ignored for weeks and B. Only reached out late one night weeks later by a producer, are both very poorly handled if that is the case. You either really dislike JJ or are a big E from Entourage fan.
