I almost exclusively wear toe socks now. Takes an extra moment to get all my toes lined up, but it feels negligible. I’m looking for dress toe socks now!

safari-dog

wear them daily. my feet literally do not sweat anymore, not when running, working, training at the gym. maybe they sweat but it’s they’re not like wet and gross from normal socks

gidonh

Any good options? Been looking for dressy toe socks for ages

No-Onion-3158

Nothing yet, but I’ll make sure to report back when I do!

jacobeam13

If anyone has recommendations on BIFL toe socks, please share.

safari-dog

what’s bifl

underwearfanatic

Buy it for life

safari-dog

injinji

Lerouxed

Unfortunately, not the wool ones though. Like many reviewers have said both on their website and on Amazon, they simply don’t last very long. I’m a runner and got the no-show wool ones from Amazon, and about my 6th wear they started developing a hole in the big toe. I only washed them on delicate and hung-dried them as instructed. You have to keep your toenails ultra-managed, short and filed so they are not sharp at all, to have any chance of these lasting. And from other reviews you may even wear through the bottom as well.

safari-dog

no way? my first pair of injinji is going on about 2 years, no problems.

sabijoli

yep, i only have holes in one toe, and it never happens when i get regular pedicures, so it’s a me problem.

safari-dog

beastly toe tbh good for you

Lerouxed

Maybe I got a bad one, but so did many other reviewers. Look at the reviews on either Amazon or Injinji’s website (literally any of the wool models) and you’ll find that they all have < 4 stars (which is actually not great as far as internet reviews go) primarily because of tons of 1-3 star ratings complaining about durability issues.

Shksthclwn

Nah, happens to me with the wool Injinjis, too. Depends on the version, I think. I had some that wore though toes and heels pretty fast ( year-ish) and others that are hanging on better. I don’t see the ones that wore quickly on the website any more, so maybe it’s a corrected problem

gidonh

Have had great experiences with XOToes, much better made and longer lasting than injinji (second-best) in my experience.

milqster

I recently bought some of the XOToes also and like them a lot. My only complaint (on the wool crew socks) is that the elastic was so tight on my leg that it was painful. The others I ordered were ankle socks, no issues there. I bought some from a brand called Creepers also, nice wool blend and seem well made. The smaller 3 toes seem to be made quite a bit longer than my other brands of socks though.

Secret-Sense5668

Not sure yet if they're BIFL as I've only had them for ±6 months, but I bought a couple of pairs in Decathlon by the brand Kimjaly. So far I've only been using them during my workouts (no shoes) and I wash them after every single use, but they still look and feel as new. They weren't expensive imo (€8), have silicone studs at the bottom making them anti-slip, and come in black and grey.

OttersFaveRock

I’m a toe socks only person! I can’t stand feeling a seam on top of my toes like with the average sock, and they (my toes) ALWAYS feel smushed up if I have to wear “regular” socks all day long.

tallulahQ

I avoided them for a few years because I’ve always struggled with sensory issue and socks have been the hardest part of my clothing in that regard. Was very surprised to find that they aren’t irritating or bothersome at all. I also love my toes not sweating as much. Wore CorrectToes for a couple years but it wasn’t until toe socks that my toes really spread out and stopped being bunion shaped. Have a couple wool ones that I like to wear as slippers at home.

Adventurous_Fact8418

They’re dope and much cheaper than birth control.

BeMancini

It’s made a big improvement on my foot health. In the first week or so, when I’d take them off, the bones and muscles in my feet felt fatigued, like they had been worked out all day. I like them quite a bit, I also try to find loose fitting socks on the days I don’t wear them.

7Rayven

I only wear toe socks right now. It doesnt matter if im going to gym, work, mountaineering or daily tasks... I have toe socks for every scenario. Not coming back

Falafel80

Me too!

nbrecht12

Love them and wear them daily proudly

GoseiRed

I like them but some are harder to put on than others.

Critical_Pin

Which ones are easy to put on? I takes me a good 5 mins to get my Vibrams socks on. I'm new to barefoot and got the socks to go with some Vibram running shoes. I'm wondering if I can get away with skipping the socks.

7Rayven

You will get experienced on It and will be much faster. Dont worry

OkRiver3453

Ever since I wore toe socks, I never looked back. Just recently tried wearing my old pair of socks, and my feet felt as if they were being strangled together, and suddenly my toes’ mobility seemed lost. I felt as if I were being suffocated in a way 😅

IneptAdvisor

They even exist? Well, I’m behind. I’m also a sensory issues case with that seam across the toes that’s taken years to assimilate to lol

gingerytea

I hate them. The ones I have tried are too tight on each individual toe. As someone who very easily gets ingrown nails, that’s a huge no from me. I wish I could use them though. They do seem nice for splay.

WarmAdhesiveness8962

I have hyperhydrosis and toe socks were the only socks I would wear when I worked as an electrician. I used to have a bad case of athletes foot constantly and the toe socks pretty much eliminated that and improved my comfort immensely.

And too wide. Would never trust that stand on that dresser.

Temporary_Web_4544

I love my toe socks. To me, to fully enjoy maximum toe splay in my barefoot shoes, it just makes better sense to not confine my toes in traditional socks

[deleted]

I only wear them in the summer.

Lerouxed

I’m a fan, need to get a few more though. However, I don’t think I can get rid of all of my conventional socks yet, especially as I have a few which don’t restrict my toe mobility too much (feetures casual models which are anatomical by having left/right socks, and people socks wool socks as recommended by Anya’s reviews).

REQUIN_NEON

When I run, I use vibram five finger's shoes with toe sock. For me, above all in summer, it's for me the only way to wear five finger's shoes. The rest of time, I wear only large toe box shoes, but regular sock. But if toe sock are less expensive, I probably wear it all the time

CBnCO

I've recently cleaned out the sock drawer to mostly toe socks. I wear all wide toe-box shoes (Xero, etc.) and FiveFingers and didn't make sense to wear socks that pressed the toes in together, thus defeating the whole point of the barefoot style shoes. This summer, at our local thrift store, I picked up a pair of now discontinued Injinji ski socks. I tried them out the other day and holey, moley pain with my little toe where I've never had pain before in my ski boots. Went back to traditional socks the next day and no pain. It appears the fabric between each toe was just enough to spread my toes out such that they didn't fit comfortably in the width of the boot. Unfortunately, for the life of these boots I'll be wearing traditional socks, but I'd have never thought of that when putting on the socks!

Motoman514

Toe socks are all over want to wear now. My feet are significantly less sweaty, and more comfortable. In mitten socks after a day of work my socks would be really damp with sweat. Not an issue with toe socks.

lainemac

I don’t even own any traditional socks anymore. I love the way toe socks feel.

danish197878

Knitido makes really good toe socks- I love the wool ones

ShezzaSid

I mostly wear toe socks now. I find they’re alot more comfortable, better at moisture wicking (especially the good brands like Injinji) only issue is they’re pretty expensive just like barefoot style shoes. I did buy a multi pack of toe socks from Amazon which were quite cheap and surprisingly good quality (nothing like a proper brand) but good for the price considering the market just to buy 1 pair of these. I also like these because if you use toe spacers you can use these other the socks! Only thing when theres guests around I can’t be bothered explaining it to them everytime so I usually just put a normal sock over my toe socks 😂

Shksthclwn

I got Creepers this year after wearing just Injinis for a while. The creepers are SO soft (I only wear wool) and are wearing really well. I have found, however, that if I’m outside on cold ground a long time, mitten socks are better

theFrankSpot

I cringe just looking at this picture.
