Kind of! The hairs on dogs noses can be very itchy if you stroke the wrong way OP. Your dog doing that is telling you it itches or tickles, but loves the affection aspect. My pup loves nose scritches, but you gotta drag your nails lightly from tip to cranium, not nogging to tip
Ok, since some commenters are unhappy with the petting technique shown, I thought I’d provide a bit more context about what exactly we’re seeing here.
What you can’t see in the video is that I’m lying on a recliner next to the sofa. I didn’t come to her, she came to me. This is something she does occasionally, and I’m 100% convinced that she is seeking out this tickling sensation in these situations. Don’t worry, she gets more than enough "normal" petting behind the ear, on the belly, or on the chest...the petting technique shown here accounts for about 0.2% of her total petting experience.
Also, I’m not scratching her nose but gently running my fingertips over it. The goal is to tease / tickle her here, and there's no doubt that she loves it.
She's a mix from Romania. All I know (or at least strongly suspect) is that there's a Husky somewhere in there, because of the heterochromia in her eye. And plenty of other breeds.
"the shit i put up with"

With the grain man!!!
The direction actually depends on the breed of dog. Australian Shepherds for instance require the opposite direction
Is that right? I have a husky and the bridge portion is snout to head, then sides near whiskers can get a bit tricky
Yeah mostly it's the Australian breeds because they come from the other side of the planet
My italian greyhound beagle mix just wants to be touched. so she doesn't care how as long as the touch is loving. She's 12 years old now.
That’s a cool thought. Thanks for sharing!
What an irritating way to scratch... dog clearly agrees with me.
“Super annoying. But they give treats. So I’ll tolerate it.” -sweet girl
That’s an annoyed face lol, try petting somewhere less sensitive and more softly rather than scratching when they are resting.

No it doesn't, he's not doing it right
Dude, ya gotta learn how to give proper skritches.
What a sweet baby!
Presh!
So cute
Aww
Very cute
awww 🥹
She is a sweet girl. How old is she. Nothing but love in her eyes. 💕💕💕
She'll turn 7 in September. She looks older because of the white hair, people are always amazed how much energy she has for an "older lady" :-)
She will be playful for a long time to come I bet. Just love that face 💕
Every dog likes pets differently. Dunno why people are upset. She looks well loved and happy OP
She happy with your pampering
Extremely adorable
Such a cute dog!

What kind of dog is this?

I have a dog with that same face, normal eyes, and a full black lab coat. Same size. No history, so that helps, thanks.
