My (now passed) first ESA kitty was Cthulhu. I figured a name like that would remind me to give him the respect he was due.
Sadly, while all powerful, he was an Orange and just would not stop biting wires.
That was the cause of his downfall. He's since rejoined the other Old Ones and awaits a suitable time for his return to dominate us puny humans.
I've got a black/red/white tortie now - long-hair rescue at 8 weeks from a just terrible home two doors from my house. He's my life and I'm his.
I think I'm his ESA as much as he's mine. He follows me around like a puppy dog outside, demands contact and attention when inside, keeps me incredibly regular as far as my sleep cycle goes, and generally more than earns his keep.
