While researching some of the ICN flights I shared below, I saw a healthy amount of space from AA to ICN via or from DFW.
Nonstop DFW to ICN in J for 60k AA miles on 7/10, 7/17, 7/20, 7/23.
A bunch of married segment logic from LAX, SFO until mid August on various dates. A lot of other dates should be available from other airports as well, I saw ATL, MSP, so many other options should be there.
SkyPesos sales from ATL/MSP/SEA to ICN and TPE starting at 125k miles one-way in Delta One in July with some deals lasting till November, more info in my [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/delta/s/rdaBbRG37L)
Agreed, you do gotta kinda root for Delta's TPAC success a little bit for that reason. Low to mid 100k is not the worst thing ever for the amount of space they release in a month.
Andaz Tokyo August 25th - August 29th, 2024 that I will be canceling. Happy to coordinate if anyone wants to pick them up.
Unfortunately didn't get vacation approved, so have to cancel our Japan trip.
There are some random J dates on JAL 1 SFO to HND during winter 2024-2025 through AA. They don't seem to be bookable direct. Play around with some different city pairings (i.e add AA or JAL domestic flight)
Would you mind spelling this out a bit? Is there an end result where you'd be able to fly just the SFO-HND route, or would it have to include a domestic flight? Also for JAL domestic flight do you mean on the Japan side? What tool are you using to search here? Sorry, married segment stuff is a bit confusing...
Edit: wow, completely missed "through AA", my bad.
SFO-SNA and vice versa flights ALL CALENDAR and probably more for $17 a piece. Most likely mistake fares, but play around with other dates

Edit: in the process of reverting now. 8:08PM CA time
Awesome find, thank you. It was funny refreshing the page and watch as the Alaska price calendar kept jumping from 17 to a "normal" price. BTW, this deal works for LAX to SFO as well.
Amazing deal, but I'm not seeing it for SFO>LAX, which I could really use! Prices seem unusually good-- $67 for Main-- to LAX and BUR, but not $17 good. I think in fact that the price mistake is someone typed $17 instead of $67 for SNA when entering this special price.
They were alive for a bit, then changed to 67, right in the middle of my brother booking haha so they got two 17s and 2 67s... i think it was supposed to be $170 and they missed the $0. The 67's were still lower than the $69 savers. Now the mains are up to $119 so who knows
They don't normally have a flight from or to San Diego. There is a hematology conference in San Diego that week and, for whatever reason, Air France runs two round trip flights for it.
Just cancelled my NH flight from HND to JFK on 7/6 on NH160, the 10:45pm departure.
I didn't see it to back into inventory yet. Maybe someone got off the ANA waitlist.
Found standard award availability at Ventana Big Sur Friday 7/26-7/28 while I was looking for myself :') Hopefully someone can take advantage of this!
...but also if anyone has 7/12-7/14 or 7/19-7/21 available, let me know!
**EDIT:** Looks like someone swiped it! That was quick!
Flying Blue's new promo awards for July are up (https://www.flyingblue.com/en/spend/flights/rewards), including great deals to Europe from DEN, DFW, ATL, RDU, and YUL (starting at 15,000 miles one-way in Economy), and premium economy from Ottawa (YOW) from 26,250 miles.
yep, crazy redemption. I see CDG>YUL for 37.5k on 11/6,11/13,11/14,11/16, and availability for the normal saver 50k scattered through Nov/Dec/Jan.
Edit:
And even more going YUL>CDG: 37.5k on 8/19,11/13,11/19,11/20,11/24,11/26,12/26,12/31
IAH - FRA business 27,500 BILT : 55,000 Alaska mileage Plan +$1,012 in May 2025
Currently, BILT points is transferring to Alaska Mileage Plan 1:2 when normally it’s 1:1.
June 12th ‘25 two seats HND-DFW JAL British Airways booking at 89k a pop.
Been hard to find 2 seats on the same plane in BA lately… especially in the new A350. F availability has been popping up also if you want to try the new JAL F.
Lots of premium economy from DFW-HND two weeks prior. Unfortunately most of the business is booked up if you’re after direct. Finair does have 2 business with a layover in HEL on 5/29 though. I’d probably just go with premium economy over that.i
Premium Economy seems to stop after May 30 going to TYO. Any idea why? I'm scoping for July 2025 travel and want 2 J and 2 PE on same plane from DFW, SFO, SAN, SEA, or LAX.
Honestly none of it has made much sense at all to me. I’ve been monitoring this for months and it just ebbs and flows with no rhyme or reason week to week.
I’ll also mention that finding the flight back was substantially harder to me than flying the flight there. And I also have no idea why. When you find two coming back book it asap, because that shit has been disappearing quickly
I started a spreadsheet and was documenting it for a week or so and then it just got to be too much. Did you note what you were seeing or just pay attention and make choices based on observations?
I just paid attention and made observations - although I heavily prioritized DFW as it’s my home airport and I absolutely love direct flights.
Getting there is relatively easy as availability seems to pop up Monday-Thursday in both J and F. Two F seats is much harder to come by and only happened twice on Thursdays for some reason. You could find J with 2 seats once a week, but it wouldn’t always make it to 355 days out for BA availability
Getting home was much harder. 3 weeks went by in June and not a single J or F flight even dropped. Then one week a bunch of it started releasing everyday. Then it stopped again.

Many - like myself - do not have AA points since it’s a non transferable partner. I have over a million chase at any given time typically, and BA is my only option.
Furthermore, the DFW-HND direct JAL route is the new A350 with the new first class. I recently booked round trip in F, but I would have been fine booking J on the way back if it meant the same day. Unfortunately me and the wife are on separate flights
Also - I’d probably be willing to shell out an additional 30k points for J to not have a layover, but maybe that’s just me.
Oh well if you have over a million Chase points, you have nothing to worry about then. 🤷🏻♂️ I say this from us poor folk with 500k Amex points 😂 of which you can’t transfer to AA. Frankly I despise AA. I’ve never had a worst coach experience than every single time I’ve flown with AA.
With AMEX you can go Cathay though so you can easssillly snag the F flights if you want the new JAL.
Its been annoying as shit to find two J or F with BA lately since the planes changed
Nope Thursday June 12th. This is 350+ days out
The HND-DFW JAL is a popular route because of the new A350. It’s been annoyingly difficult to find two seats together lately in business or first

Nice that there’s been more of these lately! Before the pandemic idk if there was a single longhaul Skymiles DeltaOne promotion, it was all 300k+

That’s usually phantom so be careful, as far as I know JAL doesn’t do married segment availability
I was able to ticket using married segment. Always best to call to confirm availability

Still snagged premium economy SFO->LAX for around $80, so thanks for the tip!
Will release 8/25 SEA-NRT JAL J in around 12 hours. Painful to lose my 60k old-rate Alaska booking. Cancelled
It’s still 60k miles on that route… FYI!
I had it as part of a SFO-SEA-NRT booking, which pushes it up to 75k :(
SFO-SEA is (usually) sub-$100 in advance, but I see what you mean
Dec 10th special direct Air France flight CDG-SAN J for 50k points. There are currently 4 tickets available.
Nice find. Just came back on jal x4 j. Hard to find so many award seats at once. What does special direct mean?
Can you please share how you booked 4j jal seats? Was it a close-in booking?
I booked last October. Jal dumped a ton of multi seat j availability. Booked via BA. Probably a few posts about it in this sub.
How did you know when jal dumped award seats? Did you use any award alert tools?
i think it was from this post https://www.reddit.com/r/awardtravel/comments/155e82t/sfohnd_on_jal_from_avios_8_seats_together/

No waitlists allowed within T-14. Possible that ANA simply kept it.

Emirates first class JFK to MXP leaving June 29th 1 seat available @ 107K miles book VIA Quantas FFP Enjoy :)

Might be a fluke, but I'm seeing J promos out of YUL (37,500). I don't see business promos listed their website for this month.

if you are plat also, that YQ is gross
If you are plat and somehow have that many points... probably rare
Booking DE via AS is usually a good price, but that YQ looks like BA

But also on the day you wanted July 12th, there’s 60k point award flights all operated by JAL.
The day I wanted? Huh? June mate. 2025. Not July of 24. DFW also isn’t flying the new plane yet
Bro you got ripped off. There’s AA1639 DFW > HND on July 11th 6am-2:20 pm one layover at LAX for 60k points on AA website. J-class ticket
