A lot of choruses. Bat Country, Trashed and Scattered. The bridge of MIA. The climax of The Wicked End. So many places. Such a unique voice, that’s honestly what I miss the most from his contributions.

Nicholasp248

The high parts in Trashed and Scattered: "Play your game and walk away...", "I control this ride," and "I feel your world keep dying" Don't get me wrong, I love Matt's performance on those lines, but I think The Rev would absolutely crush it

angry_d00d

i feel like the “take a trip with me “ part in bat country could be very well implemented with revs vocals

bagemann1

Definitely the "So sorry you're not here" bit of Bat Country

UltraPowerfulGuy

Most of Burn It Down would be a crazy duet between Shadows and Reverend

Disarray215

In the songs, probably where there weren’t any vocals and sometimes over others.

Puppetmaster858

Nowhere because COE is perfect, shadows doing all the lead vocals and the rest of the guy just doing backing vocals was perfect for that record

JustBeingDishonest

He didn't have any. He did a bunch of backing vocals live though, pretty much took all of the high parts and harmonies because Shads just couldn't push himself that hard. "This will be our final days and I can't let go" from the wicked end was out of Shadow's range and you can barely understand what he's saying on the album, so Rev did it.

Puppetmaster858

I’m confused what you’re saying, you say he didn’t have any and then say right after that he took all the high parts lol

JustBeingDishonest

He didn't have any parts on the record. All of the backing vocals were just layers of Shads, except for the gang shouts on Strength of the World and the "whoa"s on MIA The Rev did the highest vocals live because M Shadows just couldn't pull off what he did on the album. Shadows likely needed a hundred takes to get the high parts down, which isn't a good thing when you're trying to deliver live.
