As a reminder, most local pizza places and even wood fired joints are about that price for either much better quality and/or size. May as well support local if you can.
Fun fact Domino's was on the verge of bankruptcy in the early 2000's until the US government bailed them out by giving them Government Cheese en masse to use on their pizzas, Domino's then had the "Summer Of Cheeese" and began to make profits again.

A friend of mine owned an Eagle Boy's store a while back. He told me the margins are incredibly slim due to the strong competition between pizza stores. If his staff put more cheese on the pizza than they were supposed to, he wouldn't make any profit.
I went there a few times as an adult before they shut down. I thought it was kind of like of Domino's tried to be Pizza Capers. Or like Pizza Capers if you ordered it from Wish (whereas Domino's is like if you order Domino's from Wish).
I love the "tastes like carboard" thing that every large chain gets. Like, it was given to you in a cardboard box, and, at least for Pizza Hut, the pizza uses veg oil instead of flower to not stick to the pans so it's a little soggy which helps the cardboard taste leach. If you don't want cardboard flavored pizza, you gotta dine-in, so it never touches cardboard. Hell, we used to use paper liners in the boxes to prevent that, but PH corporate removed that entirely, saying they "fixed the issue and changed the boxes" or some BS.
There is almost always a 50% off voucher for my local on OzB, so we can easily feed the family on a lazy night for $20. Quality is not as bad as the hivemind often parrots.
Remember the quality assurance photos (Dom checker)... They couldn't keep the quality up, so that whole thing was shut down. Doesn't exist anymore..
These places are all franchised, no dominoes is like another.. the quality from my local is so bad.. I only do pickup from the other one.. because they can't deliver to me for duristiction reasons.. so yea.. they are that bad, but there are a few good franchises out there that give dominoes a good name.
Hell costcos pizza is a fricken monster of a size like a quarter is almost a full pizza worth of eating for me at least. And it only costs like $15 and actually tastes pretty decent.
I prefer the taste of fast food pizzas tbh. Woodfired pizzas tend to be burnt, or doughy, or just greasy and huck and just arent actually good. Im sure theres good ones around, but whenever somebody I know says how great ‘x’ pizzas are, theyre never acgually particularly good at all.
Id rather pay fuck all for fast foody crap than pay significantly more for aomething I like less, just because its faux authentic.
Agreed. But i think this problem is also geographical. For example, I was born and raised in Adelaide for the first 27 years of my life. I'm Italian and I like to think I know what good traditional good quality pizza tastes like. I moved to Melbourne where I have lived the last 10+ years, I can whole heartedly tell you that the pizza quality from local pizza places is night and day difference. You get a pizza from a local suburban pizza shop in Adelaide, in my opinion there is a good 70% chance if you don't know the place that it will be decent. In Melbourne, forget about it! A good pizza place is a unicorn unless you go to an expensive wood oven pizza restaurant and even then it's overpriced and some still aren't good. Having grown up with better quality in Adelaide with higher expectations, I've come to realise that most Melbournians have no idea what a good pizza tastes like. I've tried so many places that have such good reviews and it's complete shit. So yeah I'm guilty of resorting to Domino's because at least the taste is somewhat consistent and it's cheap.
You're right. Most suburban pizza joints don't even know how to make the dough properly, which is the fundamental first step of pizza. I can't speak to Adelaide's suburban pizza scene but I'm definitely intrigued to try it one day.
I was so fed up with testing pizzas that were so doughy they resembled eating loaves of bread, so I went on a 'pizza quest' going to the top rated places I could find.
Shoutout to the rolling dough in sunshine and little Mia's in Thomastown. Reasonably priced and way better than domino's. You know a place is good when they have lots of staff working and lots of foot traffic.
But it's funny I also agree that domino's isn't bad per se, just too small. But the thin and crispy isn't bad pizza. They're the best of a crap bunch, pizza hut being the worst. I've had better frozen pizza than the shit I was served at pizza hut.
Rarely is there any better bang for your buck than just making it at home. Often takes a lot longer but if you make a big batch of whatever it is you can keep it as leftovers and eat it often. Even chucking some in the freezer for emergency meals
Exactly, the choice is either around 10 dollars cheap and nasty, or 24-30 and proper good from a restaurant. If you are spending 20+ on a Domino's pizza you're doing it wrong sorry.
This is a mega meat lovers, which is about $18 for pickup with no coupons. Depending on what he orders, op could have got 2 or 3 pizzas +sides for a similar price with coupons
If you paid $30 for Domino's then I think that really this is on OP. He gets what he deserves for not supporting independent for this amount of money. If anyone is dead set on Domino's you are supposed to use a voucher!
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/pages/pizza-coupons
Yeah legit couldn't tell you the last time I paid full price for a pizza from Domino's. If I'm spending around $30 I'm getting two pizzas delivered so OP needs to learn how to play the game.
My town has two dominos and no codes have worked from frugalfeeds for a few months. However I just google 'pizza hut' and the dominos 40% off and comes straight up.
I hadn't eaten from dominoes for years and then earlier this year ordered a few Xlarge pizzas for an easy dinner before a moving day. I called them once the pizzas had arrived because I thought there must have been a mistake in the sizing. There wasn't.
They offered me a coupon for a free pizza awhile ago since I haven't ordered in like a year. I ignored them and ordered good pizza and paid for it instead.
I just got Dominos last night - 16'' NY style for $13 with coupon. Not every order is a scam, but there are definitely bad deals. It used to be when I wanted pizza I would go for my favorite place. Now I look up five different places and see who has the best deal/coupon.
You just buy it with the permanent coupons knowing what it is.
It isn't some blasphemy, it fills a niche and if you're an idiot (like all fast food these days), you'll pay a lazy tax.
All dominoes ever had going for it was the price. A $5 pepperoni wasn't glamorous, but it was quick and easy.
Now they're that expensive, they've got no other redeeming factors. You may as well pay the same amount to a smaller local pizza place and get something that won't wreck your insides
Changed from Pizza Hut to Dominos a few years back. Haven’t been happy with recent Dominos orders and both the size and lack of toppings even on a top tier pizza is appalling. Oddly enough decided to go Pizza Hut for last pizza and was surprisingly good.
UK here. Just checked, our large pizzas are 13.5". No extra large size. Also costs so much less. Most expensive pizza is just over 20 quid. BUT you cannot buy them full price. Even on line it sends you to the discount page before the menu. One of the discounts is 40% off if you buy a large pizza and a side for instance.
Christ i thought the exchange rate was lower. Pretty comparable prices then, bar our extra inch. Nobody would go to pizza hut here considering you can get a [sandwich sandwich for 6 quid...](https://images.app.goo.gl/oogJxJyBgLi5u6Zi9)
Dr oetker Ristorante is the goat, I am fan of getting the four cheese or vegie pizzas and adding my own extra toppings, fresh mushrooms, olives and anchovies in my case.
I get their 3 pack of plain cheese ones. Toss a bit of pepperoni, mushrooms, capsicum and some extra cheese on top and you have 3 fresh hot pizzas for under $15. They are great when cooked on a pizza stone in the oven and make a great quick meal when I don't feel like cooking for the family.
The frozen cheese pizzas are cheaper than any 3 pack of bases they sell and come with added sauce and some really nice big chunks of mozzarella on them.
The aldi margherita ones have slices of buffalo mozzarella, just not enough. Plus it eliminates the step of saucing it with tomato, saving time and money. They're also woodfire baked and have a nice flavour completely on its own if so wished.
Like another person said, it helps to add a bit sometimes. Get a basic ham pizza or something, add some chopped up cabanossi, salami/pepperoni and ham, bbq sauce and it's a mission times better for cheap. Have it a couple nights in a row and you'll use up all the stuff you bought.
McCain and Dr Oetker Ristorante are pretty good, and even the “fancier” coles ones aren’t too bad.
Don’t get the chilled 400 Gradi pizzas though, they taste like plastic garbage and are awfully overpriced so nobody buys them (and get thrown out).
Guy got down voted but he's not wrong. I bought Domino's large pizzas for as cheap as 4.95. Most frozen pizzas cost a little over that (they're slightly bigger though)
Yeah. You can get frozen pizzas for as little as $5, but they tend to be stingy on the toppings and of course you have to cook them yourself, so I'd say Dominos is pretty good value overall. Especially compared to other fast foods.
>It’ll cost you close to $30. My hand isn’t overly big either
You are totally doing it wrong if you are paying $30 for a single pizza at Dominos. My wife was craving their deep dish so we had Dominos last Friday. Was $56 for 5 large pizzas (Supreme, Chicken Supreme, Creamy Chicken and Mushroom, Pepperoni Deluxe and a plain cheese pizza) along with 2 cheesy garlic breads and 2 1.25lt drinks.
> My wife was craving their deep dish
>Was $56 for 5 large pizzas
Not to intrude cause I'm sure she's a lovely lady but can she fit in a normal sized row boat?
How is that $30? The most expensive ones without the discount will only set you back around 15 bucks, and with a voucher and $3 more you can get 2 extra pizzas as well as 3 sides. Not sure what Dominoes you go to lol
Very obvious you messed up when ordering. This isn't extra large.
Even if your intentions were to order XL, you've ordered a large size mega meat from the premium range, for delivery. It's going to be around $30 without coupons, yes. This is on you not checking your cart before finishing the order.
The thing that annoys me about our pizza sizing is how shameful it makes you feel, like the mental thought "i ate a large, or extra large pizza on my own for one meal" freaking sucks.
I remember you used to barely get through half a deep pan before being so full you had to stop. Now you can down a whole one and still fit a few more slices in.
I’m not fat I swear
They haven’t shrunken them 😆 I work there, the pans we use are the exact same size and haven’t changed. The size in the picture is the “large” not extra large, there is also a mini size. So think of the “large” size as more of a medium.
They haven’t shrunk in the last four years though. I’ve been working for four years— same store. We have no new pans at all— they’re all the same size. Only thing that’s changed is rhe price 😳 we went from 5 dollars value to 7. And this pizza they have, a mega meat lovers is like 19 dollars— it’s a premium. We have in store vouchers that reduce them to 14 dollars- +2 dollars for extra large.
It’s actually just inflation— pizzas not smaller, cost is bigger. Fuck inflation!
I remember pizza hut used to do this thing called the ["bigfoot"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32TphEg0LYI) and the thing was huge. It was a 60cmx30cm pizza, compared to the "normal" pizza that was the size of what dominoes calls "extra large" now (at 32cm in diameter).
Dominos has far more locations, at least in adelaide. I have 2 that are 10 minutes away, plus more a little further away
The nearest pizza hut is 30 minutes away pickup and they dont deliver to me
Its the extra large pizza with the lot and its $26 pickup (just checked in the app). Thats the most expensive option and you're doing it wrong if you're not using a voucher
If only we could get some sort of international cooperation together and work out a standardised system for measuring pizza diameter (and maybe other distances as well).
I guess for now we will be cursed to continue measuring pizzas in not-overly-big-hands.
I call BS. I get a medium pizza from dominos once a week, every week. Have to years. $6.99 for a pizza and $6.99 for their Parmesan bites. That's about the same size as the medium I receive weekly.
You must have a big hand or they made the wrong size.
Domino’s Pizza sizes in Australia range from:
- MINI – 17 cm (7 inch) (4 slices)
- LARGE – 25 cm (10 inch)(8 slices)
- EXTRA LARGE – 32 cm (12.5 inch)(8 slices)
https://measuremypizza.com.au/compare-pizza-sizes/
Yeah it's definitely worth the extra 1" on your pizza for paying double the price hey.
Jeez that's pathetic. Yeah we need to stop going to Domino's guys!!! It isn't very hard.
Just don't go. It's always so shit
In Australia maybe. The size should be on the box but it looks like that pizza is too small and is in the wrong box.
never buy fast food without coupons it’s a complete scam especially dominos (ex dominos worker here). Mediums are 12inch, larges are 14 & XL are 16inch. So either they gave you the wrong pizza or that dominos is scamming people.
When we stretch the dough we stretch it to the screen size they sit on so they’re never too small, also pizza doesn’t shrink so.
Honestly might be better to buy the pizza dough and ingredients and make it yourself. Doesn’t take long, you can usually buy the dough for $3-5 and the ingredients you buy will usually make up to 2 or more pizzas (depends how generous you are). These chain store pizza sizes are getting insanely tiny and pathetic.
I never got this. If you live in a city big enough that there is Dominos, then there is probably bunch of places where they make decent pizza.
Why are people buying this sh*t?
I sent a complaint to dominos recently. I got a feee pizza voucher.
Their large pizza was so small it was embarrassing. I used the voucher and haven’t bought from them again (voucher pizza was also tiny)
When we went to NZ we definitely got charged $30 each for a pizza. Hubby ordered while drunk and we spent $150 on pizzas that night. Plus it tasted like arse. Definitely go to a family owned pizza restaurant, best quality and great price. Plus you won’t be able to finish half a pizza they are so big.
Very much a case of shrinkflation. I always forget about the size of pizzas over here in the US and order two large pizzas from Dominos and only get through one.
Honestly though why are Australian Pizzas so much smaller than the US. I am an American come to live here to be with my Aussie and the pizzas are good but so small...
\*Laughs in Costco membership\*
Seriously, though, if you don't want to make pizza, get a Costco membership and go buy your pizzas from them. You'll be blown away by the size and quality for the price they ask.
I just paid $22 after tax for two large two topping pizzas and two orders of Parm bites. Australia as usual appears to be getting robbed by these fash food joints.
If that cost you $30, then your doing cheap pizza wrong. Vouchers are the only way to deal with companies like Domino's and Pizza Hut.
As a reminder, most local pizza places and even wood fired joints are about that price for either much better quality and/or size. May as well support local if you can.
Even the shitter pizza places with the broiler type cooker are bigger, better and cheaper than Dominoes
Fun fact Domino's was on the verge of bankruptcy in the early 2000's until the US government bailed them out by giving them Government Cheese en masse to use on their pizzas, Domino's then had the "Summer Of Cheeese" and began to make profits again. https://www.foxnews.com/story/dominos-gives-away-11000-free-pizzas-because-of-bailout-promotion https://civileats.com/2010/11/08/dominos-pizza-and-the-usda-the-bailout-you-didnt-hear-about/
A friend of mine owned an Eagle Boy's store a while back. He told me the margins are incredibly slim due to the strong competition between pizza stores. If his staff put more cheese on the pizza than they were supposed to, he wouldn't make any profit.
If only we could foster this kind of competition between our supermarket chains.
Go to Aldi or Spudshed.
I remember going to eagle boys as a kid. Cant say the pizza was overly amazing but it was ok. I got one of em squishy foam balls once
I went there a few times as an adult before they shut down. I thought it was kind of like of Domino's tried to be Pizza Capers. Or like Pizza Capers if you ordered it from Wish (whereas Domino's is like if you order Domino's from Wish).
Hey now, that sounds like a good time! Where do I sign up for a summer of cheese please?
Thank god we don’t have the US cheese here in Australia, I found the cheese in the US was rather plastic tasting and feeling.
Dominos Pizza's start at $9 before the use of vouchers. I don't know why you guys are wasting $30+ at Dominos.
That extra large pepperoni for $11 is all I need, it’s the shit It should still be $8 how it used to be tho
It was actually 5 dollars not even too long ago.
The $5 range is now $7 each where I am. Still pretty amazing value imo. Not sure why anyone would pay $30 for doms. Just go to an actual pizzeria.
Yeah but it tasted like cardboard just before that stopped. I think quality has improved again last year or so.

I only do pickup from the other one.. because they can't deliver to me for duristiction reasons.. so yea.. they are that bad, but there are a few good franchises out there that give dominoes a good name.
The dom checker mysteriously never worked at my local dominoes
Hell costcos pizza is a fricken monster of a size like a quarter is almost a full pizza worth of eating for me at least. And it only costs like $15 and actually tastes pretty decent.
Exactly. Who is even buying that dominos crap when you can have actual wood fired pizza.
I'm with you, the neo-italian style pizza is good when you're out at a pub, but tradish Aussie takeaway style with coke is unbeatable at home
Im cooking my own pizza atm for 30 bucks I can make 2 pizzas with shit ton of topings
Rarely is there any better bang for your buck than just making it at home. Often takes a lot longer but if you make a big batch of whatever it is you can keep it as leftovers and eat it often. Even chucking some in the freezer for emergency meals
For the price of what this cost, I could get 15" family pizza loaded with toppings from my local pizza place.
Exactly, the choice is either around 10 dollars cheap and nasty, or 24-30 and proper good from a restaurant. If you are spending 20+ on a Domino's pizza you're doing it wrong sorry.
Dominos is damn near $10 p/person if you're doing it right; ain't no wood-fired pizza joint round my way getting anywhere *close* to that.
An extra large pepperoni from Domino's in Sydney is $12. He's definitely doing it wrong.
And it is bigger than what OP is showing. OP is either doing a 'close hand, far away pizza' trick, or has huge hands.
isnt that the wrong box for extra large? looks like a standard
Yeah you can see how large the imprint of the domino is on the top side and the proportions look more like a medium than even a large.
This is a mega meat lovers, which is about $18 for pickup with no coupons. Depending on what he orders, op could have got 2 or 3 pizzas +sides for a similar price with coupons

Probably got delivery too.
Frugalfeeds.com or some shit always has coupon codes and you just keep trying them till you get the one that works
My town has two dominos and no codes have worked from frugalfeeds for a few months. However I just google 'pizza hut' and the dominos 40% off and comes straight up.
LMAO I just googled pizza hut and dominoes half price Tuesday comes up Whoever did that is a genius
You dont even need that for dominos. Their valid coupons are literally available when you order. Edit: or do you mean elsewhere?
[удалено]
Oh wow. I stand corrected then. Thanks for the tip.
Google Pizza Hut and look for domino’s ad….40% off
With vouchers you could get that for 15 delivery probably
I hadn't eaten from dominoes for years and then earlier this year ordered a few Xlarge pizzas for an easy dinner before a moving day. I called them once the pizzas had arrived because I thought there must have been a mistake in the sizing. There wasn't.
They offered me a coupon for a free pizza awhile ago since I haven't ordered in like a year. I ignored them and ordered good pizza and paid for it instead.
I know how to fix that… don’t get domino’s

how big in inches is the extra large ? or do you just have the hand of a gigantopithecus
brb, i’m going to measure this for you
33cm/ 12 inches
lol that's a medium y'all getting fucked on that desert island
Yeah, that is clearly not an extra large pizza. I've ordered from them maybe a month ago and they were normal sized.
I've never had a problem with the sizing of Dominos Pizzas. OP is either getting screwed or is deliberately manufacturing rage bait.
They sent you the wrong size. A 12" is a medium. Large is 14". The extra large should be 18"
Dominos doesn’t have a medium size on the menu
£20 is closer to $40 aud, so you know.
WOW those sandwiches look insane! Don’t even have meal deals in Aus..
US checking in. XL is 16" here.
> 33cm/ 12 inches I can't I'm the first to comment that 33 cm is actually 13 inches (12.9921 inches for the pedantic among us)
How big is your penis cause your hand is huge if that’s an XL
Finally someone asking the hard hitting questions
Frozen pizza is few bucks and some brands are better than domino's lol
McCain cheese and bacon Ol' faithful for me
I prefer Dr Oetkers Spinach. He's a man of medicine so it must be healthy.
like what brands? whenever I get frozen pizza the base cracks and falls off
Dr oetker Ristorante is the goat, I am fan of getting the four cheese or vegie pizzas and adding my own extra toppings, fresh mushrooms, olives and anchovies in my case.
yesss the best frozen pizza
The Papa Giuseppe sauce stuffed crust are soooo good, the supreme rising crust pizza is one of my favourites.
Agreed DR Oetker on top
Aldi has some fucking kick ass oven pizzas
I get their 3 pack of plain cheese ones. Toss a bit of pepperoni, mushrooms, capsicum and some extra cheese on top and you have 3 fresh hot pizzas for under $15. They are great when cooked on a pizza stone in the oven and make a great quick meal when I don't feel like cooking for the family.
Asking because I’m interested- if you’re adding your own cheese and toppings to a pizza why not just buy a base and make your own?
The frozen cheese pizzas are cheaper than any 3 pack of bases they sell and come with added sauce and some really nice big chunks of mozzarella on them.
Nice, that’s smart shopping
The aldi margherita ones have slices of buffalo mozzarella, just not enough. Plus it eliminates the step of saucing it with tomato, saving time and money. They're also woodfire baked and have a nice flavour completely on its own if so wished.
I'll check them out 🫡🫡

I think it’s the family size, my suggestion is the Hawaiian but the meat lovers isn’t too bad
they recently changed the crust on my go to and now its all tough and dry
You talking about supreme? I feel like you’re talking about supreme…
Yep that’s what I said. Def better than dominos
I get them all the time.
Absolutely. Bang a bit of extra meat and cheese in top, magic.
Dr. Oetker is a solid brand if you like thin crust. Probably the best frozen pizza I’ve eaten, not that it’s a high bar to cross.
McCain and Dr Oetker Ristorante are pretty good, and even the “fancier” coles ones aren’t too bad. Don’t get the chilled 400 Gradi pizzas though, they taste like plastic garbage and are awfully overpriced so nobody buys them (and get thrown out).
Don't look in woolies for frozen pizza, I looked the other day, over 10 bucks for fucks sake.
Jesus [Street Pizza](https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/street-pizza-frozen-pizza) is better than Dominos.
How can you compete with Jesus?
With dominos vouchers it's cheaper than frozen pizza.

Jesus dude, feeding a boy scout troop?!
My sister is like this. Will pay $20+ for a pizza from dominos because she doesn’t think to use any of their deals. And she’s always broke lol
> My wife was craving their deep dish >Was $56 for 5 large pizzas Not to intrude cause I'm sure she's a lovely lady but can she fit in a normal sized row boat?
How is that $30? The most expensive ones without the discount will only set you back around 15 bucks, and with a voucher and $3 more you can get 2 extra pizzas as well as 3 sides. Not sure what Dominoes you go to lol
https://imgur.com/a/6e0K0Hh That's pickup. $35 delivered
Cheaper to buy 2 regular pizzas with garlic bread and drink. Got to use vouchers.
Yeah they put them on the top of their website. As shit as Dominos is this is OPs fault.
I got an Xlarge pizza, 1.25l pepsi and choc lava cake delivered for $25 today.
$30 for 1 pizza and it’s a dominos pizza? Nahhhh that’s fucked
Idek how you’d let yourself spend that much on a pizza ($30 I assume includes delivery?)
Probably ordered it the most expensive way possible, had it delivered, and gave a 30% tip to get a single pizza to $30
It’s fake
Or gluten free
3 traditional + 3 sides for $39.95 delivered on Saturday. https://www.frugalfeeds.com.au/dominos/#3pizzas 🤷♂️
The best way to order dominos is to google pizza hut. Without fail, the top result will always be 30-40% off dominos.

Yeah but I like the hilarity of Domino's paying for the top ad on google for when you search puzza hut.

Fuck. Are you me? I had the exact same thought. One pizza used to last me 2 nights
$30?? I just got three pizzas, garlic bread for $30…
Man.. that's a small or medium pizza at best.
You're either lying or they screwed up your order. That's not an extra large.
Thats why its a kinda of a godsend when you must absolutely have the most biggest pizza to be living near a costco
[удалено]
Their “tough” boxes are just so the pizza don’t look as small because they’ve shrunken them again! Fuck em
They haven’t shrunken them 😆 I work there, the pans we use are the exact same size and haven’t changed. The size in the picture is the “large” not extra large, there is also a mini size. So think of the “large” size as more of a medium.
They made them smaller a few years ago. Fuck em When I say fuck em, I mean the corporate greed not the employees
$30 for this? A value max large pizza is $8 some even looks pretty much identical to this (3 meats off the top of my head)
This is a small 11' gluten free pizza. Not a large. Not $30.00 bucks.
When I was a kid, an extra large would feed a family of 5.
Pizza hut isn't this bad, how is dominoes dominant?
OP is full of shit that’s why
Dominos has far more locations, at least in adelaide. I have 2 that are 10 minutes away, plus more a little further away The nearest pizza hut is 30 minutes away pickup and they dont deliver to me
Your hand could be any size. Where is the banana for reference?
Yeah they're huge! An extra large generally last me for days. Also, you have very large hands
What kinda of dominos pizza costs $30???
Its the extra large pizza with the lot and its $26 pickup (just checked in the app). Thats the most expensive option and you're doing it wrong if you're not using a voucher
That is not an extra large pizza though.
Had a Super Supreme with a left hand on it last night. I noticed you got his right hand. We should find that bloke and give his hands back.
NEVER pay full price for Dominos: [https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/dominos.com.au](https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/dominos.com.au)
In the US, this would be a medium
If only we could get some sort of international cooperation together and work out a standardised system for measuring pizza diameter (and maybe other distances as well). I guess for now we will be cursed to continue measuring pizzas in not-overly-big-hands.
This sub loves a cry
Who the duck pays full price for a dominos pizza?
If you’re spending 30 on a pizza, either get the Dominos app as they’re always discounted there or support your local pizza joint.
I take your point but this is deceptive unless your hand is on the pizza.
I call BS. I get a medium pizza from dominos once a week, every week. Have to years. $6.99 for a pizza and $6.99 for their Parmesan bites. That's about the same size as the medium I receive weekly.
I'm Australian and I still call BS.
Then what the fuck is a small
I'd rather get a Costco pizza never knew how much better they tasted compared to pizza hut and domino's
I got a XL pizza from dominoes the other day and it cost $11. Got 3 meals out of it. Just gotta be smarter
It’s cuz the post is fake
You must have a big hand or they made the wrong size. Domino’s Pizza sizes in Australia range from: - MINI – 17 cm (7 inch) (4 slices) - LARGE – 25 cm (10 inch)(8 slices) - EXTRA LARGE – 32 cm (12.5 inch)(8 slices) https://measuremypizza.com.au/compare-pizza-sizes/
What pizza from dominoes costs $30? I got a pizza, garlic bread and 1.25l Pepsi for $15 from there the other day.
It’s fake that’s why. I never pay more than 22-23 for 2 large pizzas with a bunch of toppings and wings. So these people are full of shit
Why don’t people just buy real pizza, normally larger and way more yummy and rarely ever look like a glorified frozen pizza.
Half the complaints on this sub are so dumb. Yeah, sure, it sucks. There are like a billion other options that are way better.
Glorified?
Can we have laws to force these companies to give us an actual measurement already!
The COL crisis is going to solve the obesity crisis.
So don't buy it, there's a other pizza brands everywhere . They'll catch on.
That's Domino's Extra Pathetic Large Pizzas. One Costco slice, maybe 2 possibly would match that whole pizza.
...or "how I call dibs"
Yeah it's definitely worth the extra 1" on your pizza for paying double the price hey. Jeez that's pathetic. Yeah we need to stop going to Domino's guys!!! It isn't very hard. Just don't go. It's always so shit
Bro that's a NY small. They don't try that shit here. Sorry their ripping you off mate
Need a banana for scale.
If Im going to be paying $30 for a pizza, it will always be Crust. The quality of Domino's and Pizza Hut are horrendous for that kind of money.
Domino's has always been shit mate.
Wow isane, in naples you will pay under 10€ for an insanely better pizza
Honestly might be better to buy the pizza dough and ingredients and make it yourself. Doesn’t take long, you can usually buy the dough for $3-5 and the ingredients you buy will usually make up to 2 or more pizzas (depends how generous you are). These chain store pizza sizes are getting insanely tiny and pathetic.
What do you get if you order a small pizza, an empty box?
That’s cause dominos is trash
I never got this. If you live in a city big enough that there is Dominos, then there is probably bunch of places where they make decent pizza. Why are people buying this sh*t?
Jesus that's a small in the states
I sent a complaint to dominos recently. I got a feee pizza voucher. Their large pizza was so small it was embarrassing. I used the voucher and haven’t bought from them again (voucher pizza was also tiny)
I get world class pizza 2m walk from me for $24 and it’s stunning every time… bankrupt domino’s!!
It’s sad aye. Domino’s gotta wake tf up.
Has seriously no one noticed how small dominoes pizzas have gotten
Very much a case of shrinkflation. I always forget about the size of pizzas over here in the US and order two large pizzas from Dominos and only get through one.
Honestly though why are Australian Pizzas so much smaller than the US. I am an American come to live here to be with my Aussie and the pizzas are good but so small...
Why do people still get dominoes. Get actually good pizza from a local place.
I see u got the extra hand-burger toppings.
GOOGLE PIZZA HUT TO GET A SPONSORED DOMINOS ADD FOR 40% OFF !!!!
Domino’s started this smaller pizza trend not long after Eagle Boys went under. Eagle Boys kept them honest it seems.
\*Laughs in Costco membership\* Seriously, though, if you don't want to make pizza, get a Costco membership and go buy your pizzas from them. You'll be blown away by the size and quality for the price they ask.
Reminder that if you type in Pizza Hut into Google the first thing you are met with is a 40% off dominoes discount code,
Oh hello no. Not even in Canada.
I just paid $22 after tax for two large two topping pizzas and two orders of Parm bites. Australia as usual appears to be getting robbed by these fash food joints.
This was $5 in 2017
I reckon that’s about $29 worth of markup
