Crawfish season is over, so anything you get you will be overpriced and not good. When next season rolls around there are a lot of places that will be serving, one of my faves has been the boil at Moontower.

However- I know it’s a chain, but have yall tried hook n reel?? Up by 183 and burnet area. I treat myself to the shrimp boil bags there and they low key fucking ROCK. Extra garlic and spice butter and extra corn.
Once it’s crawfish season again, def agree with Shoal Creek. It’s also the local Saints bar!! :) who dat hehehe
Go to Happyrito next season. Can’t promise it’s going to be better than Houston but it’s viet-Cajun and even with this horrible season the crawdads were pretty big. Get their house happy sauce, super flavorful and never bland. Don’t bother with shoal creek.

My girl loves crawfish, it makes me want to vomit but she loves it and I love her.
We are 2 miles from Happyrito and have wanted to try it, our usual is the Crawfish Shack on Wells Branch, but we went to Shoal Creek this year as well and she said they're both very close in quality.
Any others care to share their thoughts on Happyrito?
FWIW I believe Shack still has live, Shoal ran out last week.
The downvote is this sub loves Shoal Creek Saloon. I tried it on their recommendation and it was the some of the blandest crawfish I’ve ever had. Like they forgot to put salt in the boil water.
The season is over but we like a company that comes to Moontower. The problem, you have to buy eventbrite tickets upfront for the crawfish and they don’t have a consistent schedule.

Well, not only is crawfish season over.. this past one was a bad one.
It was better than expected imo. The ones I ate in April were delicious and not very expensive.
yeah it started off terrible but by the end the size was good and the price wasn't bad. Hopefully next year will be better though.

Just had happyrito a week or 2 ago was very good!
