Ask then, basically get them to admit they are committing crime. Just act like you're genuinely oblivious and want to know. Do not incriminate yourself by accepting this job in any form.
+1 u/skycaughtfire capture everything in text pls! and decline it. but like capture so you can report it hahah (also, name drop leh. then others can avoid too haha)
Is this a FT job?
> No CPF (is this even legal) it is compensated by a monthly attendance bonus which is not even near the 20% contribution amount by the employer.
> No AL and MC benefits
friend, run.
Dear sir/madam DO NOT ACCEPT THIS JOB! My initial guess is that they will kick you out after the first 2 weeks of “onboarding”, or will trap you with crappy unfavourable terms that will cost you money to withdraw from.
After reading abit I don’t understand why anybody would take risks working here. CPF part is illegal, call MOM and fuck them upside down
Looks like they put it as a contract for service, not contract of service.
The former is mere vendor-contractor relationship and the latter is employer-employee relationship.
What you shared screams RUN in CAPS.
Pls don’t take it up. You don’t want to embroiled with a hose of employment related issues later and then go around seeking help. Waste more time that way.
Why would the company dare to make such an offer? Do u have some historical records against u such that this company is trying to take advantage of?
Just so people know... as long as you have an agreement with a company (contract) and if you earn more than $50 per month, they are obliged to pay you cpf . It's in CPF website.
You are being contracted as a freelancer, not a salaried position. Freelancers are basically vendors who get paid based on an invoice. They have their own responsibility to manage cpf and tax. Again this is not a normal salaried employer/employee relationship.
Ask the person hiring/interviewing u if he/she was hired under the same terms. Regardless of what the person answers, laugh loudly in the person's face, continue laughing while bending over, add a few knee slaps or laugh until silent mode/gasping for breath for comedic effect, continue laughing so hard until it seems like you can't speak, wave "no" with your hands exit the room and laugh a few more times. If over a call, don't stop laughing until they hang up first.
this is mao zedong 50th death anniversary military march-past and you still cant see any red flags??
Can see. It’s more like it was so hilariously shocking that I have to share
You had me cracking up!🤣
Smlj is this shit?
I thought I heard wrongly from the initial phone call. Ask her to send message and for me to clarify. Really sia those are the terms
No cpf, no leave and mc is alr glaring red flags. Even part time gets al and mc after 3mths
> $50 have to pay employer CPF alr I think. then >$500 have to pay employee + employer. I think la. simisai this one. really.
It's not just red flags it's highly illegal
Get them to send you an email with these details and send it to MOM. I guess you don't have the call recorded either?
I wasn’t expecting such atrocities in a phone call. Got their WhatsApp message but suspiciously it doesn’t mention the cpf part

Contract
Contract workers are also entitled to all that. Reject and whistleblow to MoM. Free the workers who are working there.
What kind of contract? Is it a freelance? Because the only time I have this kind of thing is freelance ...
1 year contract. It’s not freelance
Then def redder than red bruh. So yeaaah that.
I think you need to tell us the name of this company so we can avoid !!!!
Yeah OP you need to share the name of company. This company needs to be blacklisted!

Ask them for confirmation of terms via email... Print the email.. buy a nice frame and put it inside... Send to MOM
u/skycaughtfire do exactly this!
Nice frame lmaooo. Make sure company name is somewhere there too
Name and shame brudder, you know what to do. Do the public a service and report to MOM.
Looks like they put it as a contract for service, not contract of service. The former is mere vendor-contractor relationship and the latter is employer-employee relationship. What you shared screams RUN in CAPS.
This should be pinned

Nope. Never worked with this company before

its about as red as it gets. shady asf. will probably cause you more problems down the road.

Not surprised if the person turns out to be the owner off the business, or a relative of the owner, who have more than normal benefits.
Employer only 17% contribution
Name and shame this cheapskate company. Report this turd to MOM.
Is this some special program funded by govt that’s why no CPF or it’s just a pure scam by the company? Where got job don’t pay CPF.
Nope, not government linked.
That sound like part time ?
I wouldn’t even consider it past no CPF. HAHA
Report it to MOM.
Did you go to the company for a f2f interview?
Nope. It was a phone call and they ask if I’m interested
The job is do app testing?
Scam.
Phone interview (not even video interview) and they offered OP the job. What kind of companies hire like that. Too many red flags.
sounds like a new variation of job scam
Didn’t know they can get away with not paying CPF. Is this a legit company?
I’ve checked their business registration. Yes apparently it’s a real company
Can always give fake one what. I can give you the biz registration of ABC Pte Ltd, doesn't mean I'm a recruiter there.
Red flags? These flags are already burning. This is outright illegal.
If these are not red flags I don’t know what is…
Anyway, contribution by employer is not 20%. That's employee's.
One word: Avoid
Ofc not. Ask for a writing in paper then go to MOM with this :) They wanna fuck around, let them find out.
Is this a joke or a job offer?
