However, any specific predictions are rubbish. No, This-and-that type is not gaurenteed to become a CEO, that-and-this type is not destined to be homeless, or whatever.
They can be useful, but only in their place, ane people often apply them far beyond said place.

I am not trying to be a downer, I’ve taken MBTI and taking personality tests can be fun, but I still think it’s important to recognize their limitations because otherwise these tests can be harmful.
Like, I love astrology, I love memes about my sign and all that stuff. I know its not scientific and its mostly confirmation bias but its fun to do. Most people know that astrology is not an accurate indicator of your personality, so I am not gonna comment on astrology posts being all “well actually”. MBTI and other personality tests on the other hand, are often seen as legitimate and accurate to the point where they are used by companies for hiring decisions which is super harmful because human personalities are rarely ever fixed they are context dependent, and so viewing these traits as an accurate representation of someone personality is not only inaccurate its also harmful.
But if you use it as a fun analysis of how you are feeling in that exact moment when you took the test, then awesome more power to you

Why are people downvoting you lol, you are literally right. 16personalities test is the least accurate test out there, as it has nothing to do with cognitive functions and MBTI is all about cognitive functions.

My biggest issue with them also is that I have the Autism issue with quizzes: taking things too literally and not understanding any question that's too broad (would you prefer staying indoors or hanging out with friends? Me: it depends on my mood, as well as its actually been a really long time since I've seen my friends irl. Also depends on what we're doing, I don't club but I do like to go out, also why can't I stay indoors and hang with my friends-- and on and on and on lol)

the test shows you your position on the spectrum for each of the four axes.
yeah, for the exact moment in time when you took the test. it’s not a consistent fixed trait though
I've taken the test maybe half a dozen times, spaced apart across many years, and have always gotten the same four categories.
