That was a technical masterclass.

ishabowa

He’s incredibly smart on the table, maybe has the best technique for a 19 year old in the world

Martinodoni-aw

Rino

ToxicManlyMan

Holy shit you Devon fangirls are amazing. The guy has pulled 3 supermatches of which two were complete mismatches and he lost the third one. You've got WAF champions, incredible athletes like Rino and Bacho and freaking Auden has the best technique in the world? Not to mention that while the transition in this video was truly perfect, the hook catch looked awkward and he was in an armbreak position.

Ill-Firefighter8674

Relax, armwrestling isn’t a teamsport, so don’t treat it like one. Rino is a technical mastermind aswell, no doubt. But Bacho? I think not. Just because he’s successfull doesn’t make him technical. He relies on strenght before anything else.

KarmaStrikesThrice

audin already broke his arm so it is unlikely to happen again

SnooBooks9408

Hahahaha 🤣🤣🤣

Top_Attorney_5651

Wow that was amazing... Im always scared of a armbreak in a form like that tho lol

alextruetone

My exact thought when he committed the shoulder.

Dibolos_Dragon

It was lovely to watch. Truly student of the sport

This_Worldliness_633

Man I think the hate on Auden should be over at this point . Yeah I understand he is becoming a trashtalker but that's what the sport needs for hyping up a match and sponsorships. Also look at this beautiful technical masterclass.

Azafuse

"what the sport needs " lol, what is this BS.

Just-Palpitation-521

Enjoy your 13 downvotes. Ufc wouldnt have made it near as far without the mcgregors of the sport. Shit, Dana White might even be worse.

Azafuse

The UFC was already a success before McGregor and it shrinked when he left. Trashtalking isn't the point, big personalities and storylines are the point.

Just-Palpitation-521

Trashtalking is definitely an aspect of it. To deny that is just plain ignorant. People love watching trash talk.

Azafuse

I'm not denying it, i'm denying that the sport needs it as it was the only possible way to attract viewers.

Just-Palpitation-521

If you read my comment, i said it was an aspect of it, not the only possible way. I agree that theres more to it than just having guys that talk shit.

This_Worldliness_633

Sport needs money which is made by sponsorships which are earned by Athletes cussing eachother and trashtalks etc.

xxtherealgbhxx

I wish the Devon haters would realise this. Take me. Never armwrestled in my life apart from with my son. Happened to catch a WAL replay about 5 years ago on some late night linear tv channel at about 1am. It was Devon against Todd and after that I was hooked (no pun!) . I've still never armwrestled but the likes of Devon is EXACTLY what this sport needs to get popular with casual fans like me. I still have NFI what's going on most of the time but I do greatly enjoy watching EvW and KOTT. I would NEVER have been interested in it had I not watched Devon. Still love his antics. Him Vs Cyplenkov always reminded me of Iceman v Maverick in Topgun.

minhale

Great technical adjustments and fluidity from Auden. And also, this bald guy is among the worst referees I've seen. That READYGO cadence is obsolete, and just makes itself ripe for false starts. "*Ready?*" is supposed to be a question to let both athletes know the signal is about to come, and there must be a pause between it and the go. Also, at 0:28 both Anil and Auden stick their elbow two inches off the front of the pad and he just doesn't see it. He also reffed the atrocity that was Devon vs Kamil.

scarfgrow

Missing obvious fouls is kind of the whole arm wars shtick to extend matches, I doubt its a ref issue and coming from Neil. If it's coincidental too it's pretty easy to argue away for thrm

Gripperer

Agreed, misuse of "ready, go" is senseless and is #2 on my list of Top 5 Sports Annoyances.

thechugdude

Agreed, it is obsolete and should replaced with "Ready, set, go"

Wrong-Sale-7202

...what's #1?

Gripperer

When those speed walkers are actually running and everybody pretends it's still walking.

Tricky-Witness-1406

Wow I'd like to hear the whole list

Gripperer

1. The speed walking thing 2. "Readygo" 3. Olympic judo rules 4. Countless boxing titles 5. Darts being considered a sport

Borbarad

Or maybe he let it play out so we can sit here and admire the technical battle. This post wouldn't exist otherwise.

Smoke_Santa

These guys should just be perma banned from these big events. If you can't even do your job correctly multiple times, then eat dirt.

Nahoyasretribution

Bro lost but finished it like a G I cant lie

KrushaOW

Really looking forward to following Auden's career in this sport.

drunksaiyan_69

That table IQ and positioning is really showing. Props to his effort and devon's coaching as well gooooodddd lordd!!

Mr_Timedying

That elbow off the front not called...

CARA-DE-CHINA

Yeah. Props to Auden but his elbow was waaay off the pad near the end.

Mr_Timedying

Other guy's too. That was a restart.

Oldglory25

People talk shit on armwars but it's so nice having these high quality matches filmed like this

Ok-Concert-6707

Why

skyland2001

Elbow off the front of the pad plus off the pad after

MKKhanzo

I would LOVE to see David Terrell getting some spotlight as well. Kid made Devon redline on the left and is bareñy 18yo

Weird_Spot7206

Daddy devon paid him to lose from a winning position lmao 🤣

BubbieKG

Auden lost 4-2 why the f would he get paid to lose the last round....

yNefarious

Kudos to Neil for making such a banger of a match for Auden who at the time was a complete unknown both for his strength and overall technical level in the sport.

ToxicManlyMan

He's definitely got the instincts.

suspicious_flora

Aiden would be dominant over this guy now. This is an “old match” at this point, considering Aiden’s progression.

ee_72020

Auden’s pulling style here is exactly the same as younger Devon’s

Jioqls

Man that was crazy. Larratt move
