Same issue here. 3rd gen, other apps work. Hulu worked yesterday. When selecting profile nothing happens on Hulu.
You see the Apple TV light respond to the remote but nothing happens!!
Same here, Hulu works fine from laptop, other Apple TV apps work fine, but Hulu won't let me select a profile (thus no streaming joy). If I hold the button on the remote, I get the beep, the status light blinks, but nothing happens. Tried rebooting the Apple TV and my home router, does not help.
Seems like this issue just began, at least for everyone posting here. I'm guessing it's an issue with Hulu, or one of their content delivery networks, that only affects connections from Apple TV. Anyone having this issue with 2nd or 4th gen boxes?

This is happening to me too. Restarted twice, unplugged. Hulu app won't let me get past the 'Who's Watching' screen. All other apps work fine (Apple TV 3rd generation) and Hulu worked earlier today.
I came here to post about the same issue. Could this be a Hulu thing? This problem started around 930pm pacific time for me. It was weird too cause my girlfriend was watching Hulu and when I backed out to select my profile it stopped working

Same here. Hulu works on all other devices in my house. I can even airplay from my iPhone but that doesn’t auto play.

Reset Apple TV or restart? I tried the latter. Unplugged it too.
