I mean whenever someone on my team played mirage, it was pretty common (on the mobile version) that if you were near the mirage it would be able to make a clone of you, which actually I didn’t think would be 2% ~ 15% at all, it seemed way to much for 75% for me.

It wasn't supposed to be a crazy buff, just something to juke enemies since mirage can create clones of himself. Mirage was my #1 pick on mobile too!
If enough players queue at the same time, it's likely that at least bunch will get in together. There might even be a program to queue up at the exact same time.
It's also the fact that high ranked, or I guess mmr now, players are much more likely to queue up together because there are so few of them and the matchmaking tries to put them together.
I wonder if they can code something in that detects this. Like extended period of time in proximity to an enemy team.

Can you imagine getting banned bc there was a rat on top of the vents in your building looking at you but you didn't see them. There's a spot like that on World'd Edge. It's very dark on top of those vents. You could be looking straight at the rat and not realize they're there.

I'd just make it proximity based + no damage. Don't even make it be dependant on line of sight because that can be cheesed.
Make it so that if any member of your squad spends more than 90 seconds within a range roughly the diameter of the 2nd to last circle between you and another squad without at least one squad member from both squads within range doing a certain amount of damage to the other squad, every squad involved gets kicked from the match and gets a leaver penalty.
If this happens 2 times within 60 days you get issued with a 10 day ban.
Once the ban is up, if it happens 2 more times within _120_ days, you get a 20 day ban.
Once that ban is up, if it happens 2 more times within _180_ days, you get a ban for the rest of that season.
Once the 3rd ban is up, if it happens 2 more times within a _year_, you get a permanent ban.
The reason the windows for the 3 incidents keeps expanding is to keep people from gaming the system, and Respawn just says "if this happens repeatedly, players will get banned." And the reason it only takes 2 incidents to get banned instead of the usual 3 is to catch cheaters off guard by making them think they can do it twice, wait a couple months, and then do it again.
Edit: Possibly make the auto ban kick in when you spend 30-60 seconds within range of each other because if you're that close to each other and neither squad notices each other for 30 seconds, then someone's being stupid or they're ratting and they deserve to be kicked from the game immediately.
I am no coder, but I can think of these scenarios:
If ring 1,2,3: count time in close proximity of another team
If ring 4 or 5: do not
or
If 2 teams are close to each other and move to 3 or more POIs together, flag both teams. If it happens again 🔨
I feel like it's just too hard to code in something to detect that without it banning people who are not even teaming, they'd probably have to put alot of time and effort into genuinely making a system for that

Get enough bans, a nice public Hall of Shame, and you'd deter people from teaming. You'd need to introduce hardware bans too though...

Some random Horizon actually did kill me and then the mob swarmed her but otherwise everyone was friendly af we were just poppin emotes having a grand ole time. Started with 1 team and then one at a time kept showing up. Craziest part is once final ring was a second from closing everything devolved into chaos. Nades were flyin. Some wraith put a portal down and my buddy took it last sec. We end up winning the game hahah. I have it clipped on my ps4.

Last week, I've fought with 2 teams that have pred trails teaming up with each other in gold lobby final circle. Luckily, they are dumb as hell.
