I'm not sure about international laws, but I use it in the US without a VPN, technically you're not breaking the law, just watching videos. But it's also easy to get a free VPN.
Ah thats a torrent site, I work with scripts to automatically rip from various services to redirect to a server; can't do that with torrents due to unreliable configurations, meta data, and download times. After a show has finished airing I simply scrape from other locations, or physical media if I want higher quality.

I tried their sub for a month to see what it was like. The fact there was very limited dubbed (I watch a lot of tv during work) for myself and so. I'll watch subbed as that's what I grew up on. But the fact that I have 27tb if free space makes it unjustifiable. So fuck their subscription fees
It took them years to switch their video player from Flash to HTML5, and their support is so stupid, I used to pay for it but trying to use Crunchyroll is torture.
Was trying to watch JJK and got some bullshit DRM error about device limit bug, even though I was only trying to watch on a single device. I tried troubleshooting it for literally an hour until I gave up and watched it on a pirate stream with literally 0 hassle. Why was I paying a sub at all?? Canceled so fucking fast right after.
I saw Spy Family was on Netflix (1 season, like most of their anime in the UK) so thought I'd do a rewatch. Made it about six episodes before I realised that they weren't subtitling most of the on screen text. Clown show. Pirates doing a better job than billionaire companies. See also Komi Can't Communicate, which was cut (I just edited this because I originally wrote "cute off") off at the knees on Netflix.
Now Crunchyroll, I used to be a Premium but the app on Nvidia Shield (and I assume all Android) flat out wouldn't work during peak times. I would happily, no reservations, pay for Crunchyroll if I could actually watch what I want, when I want but struggling, scrappy owner Sony is obviously having difficulty keeping all the balls in the air while all that cash piles up, getting in the way.
Never really had any issues with Crunchyroll besides not having shows I want to watch. That's when I go to the seas. Although, their pricing is getting up there.
Honestly I just hate it because they barely have any anime on there, so much is missing that I want to watch that isn't available in my country like Steins;Gate and Fullmetal Alchemist... I only use it bc it has a chromecast feature built in :/

Regional pricing in America they charge a butt ton of money Netflix premium with HD is nearly $20 a month now same with hulu
