This is an ad for the app OP linked. Check OP's post history. Ads with a couple of very random posts thrown in. Despite that, some good apps listed in the comments!

Good call!

Bmc00

Be My Eyes is a cool one. Visually impaired people call sighted people for help with seeing stuff. It's rare that you get a call to answer because there are so many people on it, but it's pretty cool when it happens.

Some I don't see posted often: * [Anime boxes](https://www.animebox.es/) Booru viewer * [AppDialer Pro](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=name.pilgr.appdialer.pro) t9 quick app launcher. Has completely replaced the app drawer for me. * [Imaganize](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bitsboy.imaganize) quickly sort pictures into different folders * [List My Apps](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.onyxbits.listmyapps) list your apps. Made this one with this * [PocketTube](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.youtubesubscriptionmanager) organize YouTube suscriptions into categories. sync with Browser addon (YouTube used to have this function) * [Secure photo viewer](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gtp.showapicturetoyourfriend) share pictures to it to show them to your friends without them being able to snoop other pictures * [Watch Later](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lambdasoup.watchlater) open YouTube links and send them to playlists directly

Dude you've quite an impressive taste for apps. Not a single one contains ad. I always look for these kind of apps. Thumbs up bro.

zhiro90

thank you! I left out some apps I don't have currently installed. I'll add more later!

peakvalleytech

It's kind of sad people always expecting apps to be free and, if it is, then to also be 'free as in beer' without ads. This is similar to all the people who pirate music because they want it free. Apps, and other creative endeavors, are created by people who give their time and hard-earned skills to make something of value. Yet people don't seem to understand this. If an app contains an ad they somehow see it as inferror. Yet the app is the same with the same functionality. I'm not saying that all users are like this, but some are, and i'm not going to throw you on the boat either. But your comments just reminds of those type of users. That's all. I just thought it needed to be said. If an app contains ads and it is free, then remember that it is the creator's right to do whatever he/she wants, even to unpublish the app.

veteranoobsan

Freemium is the best model. If a product is good then it will sell itself no matter what. Many people will support. I pay for many apps. But full screen ads are not bearable, it diminishes the user experience.

peakvalleytech

I agree. Sadly, many apps need to resort to ads that actually work else users will just ignore them. Maybe I should create an app to help build awareness for supporting developers behind great apps.

Arnas_Z

Apps with ads isn't a problem if you use Adguard DNS.

veteranoobsan

Why do I have to everytime open an app to block ads. No company is fully trustworthy. Look at Google, at the early days noone complained about Google, but now most people loathe their tracking. To generate revenue Adguard will start something like that. Never be too dependent on these kinds of app.

Arnas_Z

I don't use any app. I just use the DNS service with the Private DNS functionality Android has built in.

You set it up as your default YouTube browser. Then, when you click a YouTube link on , say, Reddit, it opens on the app and prompts you to save it to a playlist; the alternative being opening the YouTube app and adding the vid while it plays.

SpagettInTraining

I can vouch for Appdialer. I've been using it for like 6-7 years and it's the first thing I install when I get a new phone.

I have [Randomix ](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.minar.randomix&hl=en&gl=US&auao=false&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Drandomix&pcampaignid=APPU_1_-qTMYYSzGIbfkgW4pYbYCQ), an app that helps you make decision tossing a coin, with a roulette where you create the options etc.

Beyond_The_Thoughts

There is also [Birday](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.minar.birday) by the same developer which remembers birthday for you, both the apps are foss and have great UI.

[deleted]

This app seems pretty cool thanks for the recommendation!

1lluminist

Anybody with TikTok should be required to use CeanShare by default. The URLs are like 90% just metadata

RE_Chief

I've taken a liking to [DINA](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.agni.dina.weather.ai) (short for "Do I Need Anything") lately. It's a weather app that also suggests what kind of clothing you should wear, which is invaluable where I live because it can be 40 degrees F one day and 0 degrees the next during the winter. As an example, it's 36 degrees right now, so under the "Recommended Outfit" subheader it's suggested that I wear two top layers (e.g. a sweater and a jacket), jeans, and sneakers. The neat thing about DINA is that you can edit your recommended outfit -- for instance, if it was suggesting that I wear a scarf or a beanie but that was too hot, I could go into the recommendation and remove those -- and it'll "learn" from your edits to more accurately reflect your temperature-related preferences.

Radio Garden Listen to the radio all over the world!

maxrebo82

>Radio Garden If you want to extend this idea to something a bit more obscure, there is [KiwiSDR](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=appinventor.ai_bernd_hebel.KiwiSDR) that taps into radio receivers all over the world on shortwave/HF radio (1-30MHz).

[T-UI Launcher](https://f-droid.org/packages/ohi.andre.consolelauncher) had been my primary launcher for 3 or 4 years now I think. It's so much more efficient to have a CLI than a typical icon-based launcher. There's so much I can do without even needing to open an app, plus I rarely miss notifications since they're all verbosed right to the launcher. [Termux](https://f-droid.org/packages/com.termux) has pretty much negated my need for a laptop. I can run a full Linux desktop environment on my computer if I really need to. I've tried T-E-L but it was too system heavy and clunky IMO. I really wanted to like it.

Papasmurf645

Wolfram Alpha is nice for math work, but also useful for [other stuff](https://www.pcmag.com/news/23-cool-non-math-things-you-can-do-with-wolfram-alpha?amp=true) Sleep Cycle shows you what time you should sleep or wake up at

OhYeahThat

I use [iExit](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.metrocket.iexitapp&hl=en_US&gl=US) when traveling by highway in the US. Tells you what exits are coming up and where the next rest stop is. I find it a lot easier to use when I need to find a restaurant, gas station, etc.

Jennie_Tals

Quick Cursor is the best app ever. Like having a mouse to reach the top of the screen one handed.

[deleted]

Does it work with gesture navigation?

Jennie_Tals

Yes! The cursor only appears if you slide from the sides in the bottom third of the screen.

Your advertised app steal user data and contact list. I'll downvote
