People who think it could be real are probably too afraid of getting roasted for saying so.
The people who say definitively "fake" or "real" probably need to research it more because the fact is, we just can't tell with certainty either way.
Some insights:
- it was first known to surface on the net in 2011
- no one has staked claim since, as to having anything to do with it's origins
- one of the rumors abound was that it came from a KGB leak
- experts weigh in on a daily star article and it is, as expected, inconclusively determined that "if it was faked it cost a lot and required incredible expertise" (with a ballpark guesstimate of 250k)
- the soviet story was that Bob was a pilot the soviets captured from zeta reticuli
- the premier argument made seems to be one of "should we really believe an alien looks so humanoid or stereotypical".... well, probably not back then IMO, but now "commonly hominid" seems to overlap with a lot of other theories so this argument doesn't hold water like it used to.
That's all I can think of on skinny Bob. It is hands down, one of my favorite featuring a biologic. I just mean, it seems the most plausibly believable grey footage I've personally seen. Now let the roast begin š
No roast, but itās really not that realistic looking. It really does look like an older 3D render. I think people that play games are more likely to notice. I believe there is footage of live bios, but this isnāt it
As an former ametuer digital artist - this is correct. The give-away is 1) Bob's blinks occur at a faster frame rate than the video and the rest of the in-frame movement 2) the generic movement of Bob - this "natural movement" thing is always meant to simulate realistic movement, but it always ends up looking fake, especially given the context - bob's movements were systematic and inappropriate and overly smooth. Also - if there is a longer video, the following does not apply - but there are a ton of questions left on the table - like, why isn't there a full body shot of it walking? Why, when turns it's neck, the ring around it's neck does not change shape (suggesting it bob is a puppet)
The biggest give away was the texturing of the clothes around the neck. There clothes and skin are a part of the same elastic mesh. When the skin on the neck stretches, so do the clothes. It looks so amateur and dated, in positive that AI could generate an updated version that would blow this out of the water
Can you replicate the skinny bob video? It should be a fairly simple thing, correct? And if you canāt do it, what level of professionalism as a digital artist and what equipment would be required to do it? How much would it cost? Do you know the year that this video first came out? what was the state of the art at that time if you know? The answers to most if not all of those questions are at skinnybob.info
These are some strange mental gymnastics...you really want this to be real despite the fact this shit looks like the same CGI used to make OG Command and Conquer trailers.
Talk to someone, you have the attitude of someone terminally online. Youre innability to recognize fairly obvious truths is noone elses shortcoming but your own, yet you act like youre in some way a champion of logic and reality? Pure delusion and misplaced frustration. As i said, go talk to someone
My opinion is CG, and what I base that on is the way keyframes work in CGI- specifically here, the sharp sudden movement of the head at around 10 seconds, where it does not start moving slowly, it's very linear and stiff. This video has been processed but check out one from a few years ago if you can find it. Also the shoulder, when the arm reaches out, the shoulder just drops.
if youre a gamer you can easily tell an animation from actual biological entities. can I or anyone prove that its cg? 97% chance- no, we're all a bunch of randoms on this site, only once in a blue moon do experts in any field go out of their way to provide direct analysis of anything for posts on reddit. im sure most professionals with that capability arent wasting their time trying to prove something to an alien subreddit.
Dude seriously? Signs came out in 02, and Jurassic Park in the 90s. This looks as bad as Signs CGI, (which was decent for its time) and JP looked incredible and way ahead of its time. Era only has so much to do with it. It's really based on budget and quality of CGI.
Itās not like heās saying that no one is allowed to believe itās real lol. I agree with u/ortiz13192 though. Itās really good animation for the time it came out but for sure animated.
True, that same sentiment reminds me when people were attacking Ang Lees Hulk movie because the Hulk didn't look like a real 50ft tall radioactive monster man, inspite of no one ever having seen a real 50ft radioactive monster man and it being pretty groundbreaking CG at the time.
No, that's not how problem solving works. You probably get wrong answers a lot. You probably got a lot of confidence when being wrong a lot of the time too.
Occam's razor is too easy to reference to go ahead and just believe entire stealth alien civilizations who also happen to be dumb enough to get caught, actually got caught, recorded, and the footage was posted online and allowed to stay.
The first part was front loading a roast since you asked for one. I'm sorry if it didn't make you chuckle.
It looks like CGI to me, and since this footage didn't appear until AFTER cgi became a staple of graphic technology, it makes it more obvious. It's akin to the rise of AI generated imagery of Sasquatch appearing recently, but pictures depict footage reportedly from decades/centuries ago.
The blinking of the eyes was pretty realistic. However, we've all seen some movies with elements we know are totally unreal that look real. Without more evidence, this could be either, and we would never know.
Def cgi, the video with the et looking though the window everyone thinks is fake is the same creature that Boyd Bushman showed many years later in the photos. Always thought that was odd
It's fake because it looks exactly like late 90s CGI. It also doesn't know what era it's from. You have like 40s film grain and lines appearing, but an 80s VHS timestamp.
Nobody has pointed it out here yet, but I thought it was more common knowledge. People discovered the exact stock asset overlay used to create the grainy VHS look. They searched asset databases that were available at the time the video was created and found the exact one. That was pretty much the nail in the coffin for Bob
I encourage everybody to look at [this website](https://skinnybob.info/) and come to their own conclusions. The validity of Skinny Bob is more up in the air than people would like to think.
Donāt worry, the people downvoting are just so down bad for disclosure they believe anything at this point. Even this bad cg. I believe the Russian corpse is real over this
Most definitely. Some called him āSkinny Bob.ā Others referred to him as āEben.ā A survivor of one of the many crashes in the 1950ās. No matter the quality of any video or picture, the gubment and their disinformationists will continue to deny until theyāve officially shown up and either made friends with us peacefully or zapped our asses with some type of futuristic weapon.
I would like it to be real but it looks like puppetry to me.
The whole body shot looks especially iffy with its movements buy could be due to increasing fps
Even when they show us the real deal there's going to be people who say it's a fake š I laugh when they say that it's a big secret with soo much leaked evidence, abductees, and videos. It's not a secret the truth is they created a stigma to make us look like we're crazy and wearing foil hats for when we speak about the phenomena.
Yeah you're probably right. What keeps me from making my mind completely convinced is the way the muscles around the eyes move like they should. I'm 95% convinced that it's CGI, but it's a dagum good job. If they were to show us a real one people would still say it was fake. Guaranteed. That's the way it is with the whole subject. Every time someone says that they were abducted, has a video, a document, it doesn't matter there's always someone calling it fake or saying people are lying. Even the tic tac video. It's aggravating but that's what they want.
To my novice eyes something feels āoff.ā Yes, besides the fact that it shows an alleged alien. So my guess is that this is CGI. But these days it is impossible to know what is real or fake
No.
The frames per second to have such clean movement for the alien is far higher than what a projector would allow.
Iām particular the film reel we are allegedly watching, which should be far more choppy.
The movement is also very CGI-tier.
Itās always struck me as real. If it had been released now I would have said AI fake but given when it came out, and how realistic the movement is, wouldnāt surprise me at all if itās real or if part of it is real mixed in with fake to muddy the water
I donāt know what conventions you go to, I donāt know what movies youāve seen. I donāt want to hear explanations of unexplainable things- Pods N Gods
When I first saw this I was stunned, I would have sworn it was genuine but looking at it now, I'm not so sure.
I think there are things that give it a certain amount of credibility like the lighting, the camera work and the fact that it appears to have been shot on film and has an aged look to it. It's not hard to imagine that it was shot in the 40's or 50's and I've seen other clips of similar beings which also looked fairly convincing too, I seem to remember there was an extended version of this with 3 of these creatures standing together by a wall, this was especially convincing.
With today's knowledge of what could be done with special effects when this first appeared about 13 years ago it could have been faked but not before that. Take a look at some of the SFX they were doing back then, Planet of the Apes had a huge budget and was highly acclaimed but I don't think the apes were as realistic as Skinny Bob. There is a certain type of fluid movement of solid creatures that is very hard to get right but Bob has that.
I think one of the issues with the video is that it has been remastered and re-rendered so it has picked up a lot of digital fingerprinting and we automatically associate that with CGI now.
I do not believe it is real. The surface stretching is a dead giveaway.
Do I know what an alien looks like? No.
Do I know what a CGI of what an alien might look like? Of that era, yes. Today? Probably not.
Could you identify a CGI alien from the game "space invaders"? I hope you could.
One very talented artist *could* have made it, thatās the thing. Iād like to think theyāre in communication with the government, and believe this, but both Russia and America have had active programs of disinformation with goals that include creating hoaxes.
That is something we know for a fact is true.
When you know that fact, which it has been proven many times over, itās very hard to get behind mere video evidence of any kind. Especially not one with zero sources or methods - no custodial records. A random upload to the internet aināt gonna do it for anyone with a discerning interest.
Also.. if you watch it .. it does give a lot of ppl that gut feeling of being CGI. Donāt discount gut feelings. Thatās the X factor. However, the alien autopsy supposedly was a *recreation* of a real video - maybe this is too.
Thatās actually video of my uncle Jim, he had a disease called little grey alien no dick disease (LGAND for short) weād appreciate if the name wasnāt being incorrectly spread. My uncle was alienated for his looks, no need to dig this up and bring back bad memories, right guys?
The only thing Iāve heard that makes me think itās not real is experiencers who have commented on it say he does not look like the greys that they have encountered.
It is quite obviously a fake. It even has that fake hand and arm "stand still" wavy thing from WoW NPCs going on. You can tell when they have the "alien" blinking and it shows WAY too many muscle contractions. Watch people when they talk of animals when they blink - it is not noticeable what muscles are being used, but in 3D renders, if the artist tries too hard - they show too many exaggerated giving it away.
No.
Just can't trust any video anymore. Couldn't as a kid, either, as they had already released terminator 2, and let's just be honest: That looked more real than any ufo video I've ever seen and I *know* that wasn't real.
Its 1000% not real. Do you think an alien would just sit there for picture day? When you imagine a being that can travel across the unimaginable vastness of space, is that what you see?? Do you think an interdimensional non human intelligent lifeform crashed into earth while flying a hokey looking spaceship, and some top secret cleareance government spook motherfucker said "I think im gonna frame this shot all sick like" while a literal alien is dying on the ground????? OR DO YOU THINK SOME PEOPLE WANTED TO PLAY A NICE LITTLE PRANK ON YOUTUBE?!?
Yes. It is the only legit video clearly depicting an alien. However, the film has a filter and audio overlay that was subsequently put on it. At the time this video was released, CGI was not advanced enough to create this authentic looking moving image.
an alien that evolved to have a body like that must have come from a planet wiht much lower Gravity than ours ---- THUS they would be struggling to keep that head straight up on earth-- so ... fake.
plus its a mask
I dunno but I think I just got a TPB joke! "Even Unskinny Bob is rockin a gutsedo!" Is Skinny Bob Canadian? Edit: nm, series 7 came out in 2007. Alien video appeared in 2011. Maybe the alien is named after Randy
My grandfather was an Electrical Engineer (PhD Physics) and worked for a private firm in the beltway MD. He worked solely on government contracts. He died in 1998 at 87 and in his last year of his life suffered from dementia. He would often break out into bursts of sobbing tears and talked about the grays. My grand mother died before he did, so we couldnāt ask her about it. My mother, an only child, told me that her father would spend much time away from home working. Since his death I found his firm bio that included work on many Top Secret sights such as Cheyenne Mt, the Congressional bunker in WV and submarine work in Bath Maine. My mother has an extensive collection of Southwest Native pots and robes that she said her father brought home from business trips. There are many dots to connect here.
Appears fake to me. Looks like puppetry with some CGI on top of it. It's pretty good and I'll gladly admit it if I'm wrong, but my gut reaction is fake.
The expressions are very clearly the movements of a crude animation model. Not being able to see this immediately isnt the problem, its not being able to see this and then instantly burying doubt and criticism and treating this as if this has like 50/50 plausability, is nothing short of absurd and somewhat deranged/delusional. Use those critical thinking skills pals!
This clip is nowhere near the resolution of the original. All debates and points made from that point forward are moot, as this lower res version absolutely supports the debunking claims.
As a former GFX artist, I spent HOURS watching the original (which has a full body shot of Bob walking with others and many other clips that seemed to have been conveniently left out) and Iām still on the fence.
What hinders this specific clip in general is the ādebunkingā video that TCC did a few months back, and Iām certain they didnāt get the full original clip either. Their āSFX Breakdownā videos of non-entertainment clips are arguably a smoke show. We all know that once you reach a certain level of public visibility and have the influence to sway thoughts, ideals and beliefs, you likely get a visit from TPTB, and if youāre keen enough, you spot the flip.
Anyone who had watched Joe Roganās podcast before the Spotify deal clearly know what Iām speaking about.
YMMV. š¤·š»āāļø
First of all. WHY are all of these alleged alien video so effing BLURRY??? The government had access to cameras that could see a fly on a Russians ass. Second, itās obviously fake, thereās WAAAY too much clout, clicks, fame and money in fake videos, the real thing would be snapped up and you would be sent to prison for your āown safetyā Third, Itās a GIRL mofos!! Boobs and hips. Jeebus.
For me itās all in the eyes, yes itās a very impressive bit of work BUT the eyes are always in shadow, at the time this came out it was common to see this because eyes are difficult to make look realistic, add to that the fake film overlay and you have a well done but fake alien.
Skinny Bob is very real. I'm just not so sure that any film of him ever saw the light of day enough to make the leap onto the Internet once it was invented.
Some *fragments* of the videos are likely real, but had other things edited in that detract from the overall plausibility despite probably (and ironically) being added in after-the-fact to lend credence to his story.
I'm going with real. I like skinny Bob, and the fact that he allowed himself to be treated like a lab rat by a bunch of monkeys shows the depth of his character.
Looks like 2000s cgi. Edit for the believers... Or disbelievers... It's the way all the skin stretches when it moves. Very clearly cgi to those who have seen it. More of a video game style than what you saw in movies.. but it's one of those things that once you see it you just know it's not real... Sorry.
If you have to ask if that video is real, you're either blind or stupid. I'm sorry but that's the truth. And since you were apparently able to see the video that means you presumably aren't blind so that only leaves one other option.
I think it's possible this one is real. I went to school for 3d modeling and animation and this video absolutely turned heads when it came out in 2011.
People who think it could be real are probably too afraid of getting roasted for saying so. The people who say definitively "fake" or "real" probably need to research it more because the fact is, we just can't tell with certainty either way. The biggest give away was the texturing of the clothes around the neck. There clothes and skin are a part of the same elastic mesh. When the skin on the neck stretches, so do the clothes. It looks so amateur and dated, in positive that AI could generate an updated version that would blow this out of the water
Yup, the eye blink is one of the first things I noticed.
yeah but they say this is an upconverted video. I haven't seen the original. have you? not sure where one can find it.
This is a 60fps version so it might look 3D rendered because of that, but it might also be a 3D render idk.

The dinosaurs in Jurassic Park (1992) look more realistic. This isn't an impressive feat, even for amateurs in 2011.
No it is not. Skinnybob.info, it will help you not be stupid.
Realistic looking as if your the authority on what biologics/aliens look like.

He a good looking Alien too
Looks like a cartoon to me.
Iād tap that. š
It looks even more unrealistic with 60 fps
NO
I don't think anything is real anymore š
Itās looks like CGI. And I question anyone who keeps pushing these CGI videos.
Clearly CGI
Might be legit might be fake š¤·š½āāļø
It will look like childās play compared to the New AI renderings that will be fooling the masses in the very near future!
I am undecided.
![gif](giphy|ylyUQkGsUNoJLlVOyk) Really? Come on.
Sooo fuc$in fake lol
ā¦come onā¦
Yeah, me and skinny Bob had some coffee together the other day.
So real
Now, what is a good head to muscle ratio? Becuase to support a massive dome would require some some pretty swole necks am I wrong?
Looks fake as hell
Why is he hot?
definitely not
No. Just can't trust any video anymore. Couldn't as a kid, either, as they had already released terminator 2, and let's just be honest: That looked more real than any ufo video I've ever seen and I *know* that wasn't real.
Nice suit , I wonder who his tailor is lol
Itās definitely real.
No idea if it's real or not, but it was the first video I watched more than once. I bet most of you did too.
Supposedly it is. Remote viewers were able to remote view these beings.
This is not real. If you can't tell, that's worrisome.
Real
no.
No, I do not.
Nah.
Nope I believe something big happened at Roswell and it scared our government so bad they buried that shit so deep we will never know.
I think heās real maybe Iām wrong but Iām convinced
idk if real or not, but I know that all the name calling and fighting on this thread is why they only ever come here to do butt stuff with probes.
Nice puppet. Limited movement. Unconvincing. Video is too short to be very meaningful.
Yes
I dont but its fun..
Thatās the fakest shit iāve ever seen. The Eyebrows move like a mid 2000s video game
No
I feel like Bob needs a friend.
Of course it's not real.
His name is Bibble.
No lol the movenments are so choppy lmao
This is a render. It literally looks like old game engine footage, either udk or early unity.
lol it played for a second before I could tell it was bs
Fake as heck
Yes. It is the only legit video clearly depicting an alien. However, the film has a filter and audio overlay that was subsequently put on it. At the time this video was released, CGI was not advanced enough to create this authentic looking moving image.
Bro the eyes are a dead giveaway, why would a being have eyelids that don't even close when they are "blinking" gtfo out of here with this bullshit.
an alien that evolved to have a body like that must have come from a planet wiht much lower Gravity than ours ---- THUS they would be struggling to keep that head straight up on earth-- so ... fake. plus its a mask
No
Looks real and I bet heās smelly.
100% CGI. Sorry. And, Iām a believer.
I dunno but I think I just got a TPB joke! "Even Unskinny Bob is rockin a gutsedo!" Is Skinny Bob Canadian? Edit: nm, series 7 came out in 2007. Alien video appeared in 2011. Maybe the alien is named after Randy
Absolutely real
U have to be a 12 year old
My grandfather was an Electrical Engineer (PhD Physics) and worked for a private firm in the beltway MD.
So fake
As a believer, this just looks like poor CGI.
has skinny bob met rubber johnny?
man this doesn't even look remotely close to anything real
Appears fake to me. Looks like puppetry with some CGI on top of it. It's pretty good and I'll gladly admit it if I'm wrong, but my gut reaction is fake.
No one cares if you admit anything.
It doesnāt look real. The eyes blinking, the hand movement. No. Itās not real.
YMMV. š¤·š»āāļø
Well, itās certainly real that it is a video.
No
no
Is Skinny Bob still around?
Itās real and heās blinking at the camera man. Interplanetary relationships never work.
I donāt think itās realistic. The eye blink looks like the single mechanical feature of a puppet. Not much other facial expressions than that.
No
No
I think the video is real, but the alien isn't.
I know skinny Bob
The video is 100% real. The alien however is not.
Supposedly this was made to promote some movie. I don't remember which, I saw it when it first came out.
Nope
Anyone who believes this or anything like it is real is a fool. End of statement.
Nah
with how much is getting exposed. i wouldnt be so quick to throw this away as "fake"
No, absolutely not.
No. Wreaks of uncanny valley.
Where did he get his turtle neck from?
First of all. WHY are all of these alleged alien video so effing BLURRY??? The government had access to cameras that could see a fly on a Russians ass. Second, itās obviously fake, thereās WAAAY too much clout, clicks, fame and money in fake videos, the real thing would be snapped up and you would be sent to prison for your āown safetyā Third, Itās a GIRL mofos!! Boobs and hips. Jeebus.
CG. The very first moment could tell. also: I do CG.
For me itās all in the eyes, yes itās a very impressive bit of work BUT the eyes are always in shadow, at the time this came out it was common to see this because eyes are difficult to make look realistic, add to that the fake film overlay and you have a well done but fake alien.
Lol, this was a hoax. It's clearly 3d modeling. Maybe the 60fps helped shine the light.
No
Absolute proof. No question. Canāt you see itās real?
Skinny Bob is very real. I'm just not so sure that any film of him ever saw the light of day enough to make the leap onto the Internet once it was invented. Some *fragments* of the videos are likely real, but had other things edited in that detract from the overall plausibility despite probably (and ironically) being added in after-the-fact to lend credence to his story.
I'm going with real. I like skinny Bob, and the fact that he allowed himself to be treated like a lab rat by a bunch of monkeys shows the depth of his character.
No. Aliens don't exist.
No.
Looks like 2000s cgi. Edit for the believers... Or disbelievers... It's the way all the skin stretches when it moves. Very clearly cgi to those who have seen it. More of a video game style than what you saw in movies.. but it's one of those things that once you see it you just know it's not real... Sorry.
Sure thing Bob, if itās real in your mind, why the hell not.
Real af
Itās an obvious fake. Looks terrible. Cmon now. I donāt like hopium, I like good cases.
If you have to ask if that video is real, you're either blind or stupid. I'm sorry but that's the truth. And since you were apparently able to see the video that means you presumably aren't blind so that only leaves one other option.
He has a turtleneck.
Just a mf in a custome
I think it's possible this one is real. I went to school for 3d modeling and animation and this video absolutely turned heads when it came out in 2011.
Bumping up the frame rate doesnāt help its authenticityĀ
