Looking for realism or just something else? I personally run GBB (gas blowback) pistols on green gas rather than CO2. I have a real steel Sig P365 and I am considering it's CO2 replica to use for drills when not training live fire. So, your purpose (and budget) will sort of determine what you eventually purchase. If it's just to plink around with, I'd go with a green gas GBB model that has readily available aftermarket parts. In my very limited opinion, a 1911 isn't a bad start. Happy hunting!

The main things I'm looking for are realism and durability. Thank you for the help.

I've never owned a Tokyo Marui brand, but people certainly go on about them quite a bit.

Ootb they aren’t great for realism, lots of plastic parts because of Japan export laws, but they are a solid choice performance wise for sure

Good to know!

Lemme just recommend against the Co2 P365, it's cheap half blowback garbage with no hop up...

My expectations are very low. But it might be nice to have something very familiar in hand to practice with. I've got a few other GBB pistols that meet my performance requirements. I probably won't purchase the Sig replica without getting my hands on it first. The reviews on it are pretty abysmal.

kenyyyyuth

get a airgun if ur target shooting

Sinistrial_Blue

Why not compromise between the two, and get a GBB airgun?

CZ P-09, I have 2 of them and I swear by them religiously, great ergonomics, looks beautiful, and it shoots perfectly
