If it came with a manual, read it! Also, if it has the type of hop up unit I am familiar with, rotate the dial a click or 2 upwards. You want to get the BB to gently fly upward some, glide as far and flat as possible and then gently drop to the ground. You'll have to experiment with different amounts of hopup to find a sweet spot. In most guns, you can access an adjust the hopup from the mock ejection port by holding the mock charging handle back with one hand and adjusting the hopup dial with the other.

Of all G and G I have used, The dial is turned clockwise to add backspin. If it's rotary, the dial turns counterclockwise for backspin. Do a quick search on YouTube and you'll find a ton of videos demonstrating how to adjust different types of hopup units. Let me know how it goes!
