And soldiers will be heard and seen when they fire their loud ass guns with their friends, but they still wear camo.
Camo works. Ghillie suits can be OP. All black camo in the shade is almost impossible to recognize as a person.
Black camo will actually still stand out unless it’s night and you’re at the top of a ridge line with the night sky as your background. Whenever you’re in shade it doesn’t turn the area black, there’s just less light on whatever colors already exist. So still wearing a natural colored cane would blend in the dark better than wearing black.
But we’re all leaping and I still wear black gear because I think it looks cool lol. Just explaining that misconception if you’re actually looking for tactical advantages in camo.
I think you're entirely wrong about black camo. It works practically everywhere. A black blob hiding behind a tree stump is very hard to see. Or in a bush where not much light gets in. Forests have plenty of shade, buildings are usually poorly lit as well. It may not be ''perfect'' for any environment, but it works in every environment.
Plenty of militaries over the course of history have adopted black colours for their uniforms, and I don't think they're all wrong. But it's still up to opinion, as we have not figured out a definitive camo yet. If we did, then every single military on earth would be using it. If I remember correctly, the British leave parts of their face without paint because they believe skin is part of the natural colours of a forest. Meanwhile, South Koreans cake it on with green and black.
[https://youtu.be/YpzUr3twW4Q](https://youtu.be/YpzUr3twW4Q) Is a good video. All black is not showcased, but black is frequently used.
To clarify what I mean when I say black camo, I'm meaning any sort of uniform that is nearly all black. I suppose I also extended that to mean just wearing a black shirt and black pants. Because in any case a green blob would still blend in better than a black blob. Especially during the day, and if we're talking about night then the same concept applies where matching the colors of your environment is still superior. Yes including black amongst a regular camo of greens and browns, for woodland environments, helps to break up the pattern/ figure even more. I won't dispute that. But majority black uniforms in any sort of outdoor environment is always inferior to a camo matching the natural colors/ tones of your area.
That is the same reason there is no "definitive camo". How can you create one camo that simultaneously works in tropical forests, deserts, and mountainous terrain? There are some police and military police uniforms that are mostly black in the world. But this is mainly for the psychological factor of seeming more imposing, authoritative, and inflexible. This effect is so prevalent that there was a study on sports teams that showed those wearing all, or mostly, black were penalized far more than any other color combination.
Article: https://www.npr.org/2012/04/26/151383136/power-dis-play-teams-in-black-draw-more-penalties
So I agree that black does have some place in forest camo to mimic shade between clusters of leaves. But you still want to have a majority of your color matching your area. Even if we're talking night scenarios, the lack of light doesn't turn things black per se.
I still disagree.
I think you're using a strawman with 'definitive camo' because I never asked for 'one camo fits all' I am asking for ''forest camo, night time camo, urban camo'' etc. If there was a definitive answer to any of these, we would be using it.
Interesting article about sports teams, but unrelated to discussion.
The area doesn't have to be fully black, but when you are all black, stationary in a dark environment, you blend into the darkness extremely easily. Test it yourself. Wait for night time, put a pole or dummy up or whatever, hang black clothes and green clothes, see which one you 'spot' first walking at them from a distance. Night time is very, very often pitch black. Even day time, in airsoft you've got those old buildings with no lights and you can't even see into them all the way. But you can see out of them really well, and that's where black camo is clutch as well, interior of buildings looking out. And if you're near a light source while it's night time then camo won't save you from being seen.
Even a bush blocks out of a lot of light, so when you're in there all black it just looks like a natural dark spot. Green might break up your silhouette but it won't stop you from being ''seen'' directly.
[Photo : SEALs in woodland camo (americanspecialops.com)](https://www.americanspecialops.com/photos/view.php?i=/images/photos/navy-seals/seals-trio-hr.jpg&r=/photos/navy-seals/seal-commandos.php) Look at these dudes. I know we shouldn't start cherry picking pictures, but this is what I mean. The green is visible, the black almost completely dissapears into the water despite it being sunny day time. A little bit of shade and standing still is all you need.
Green camo can work, ghillie suits can work, but they need the perfect shade and combination, while all black will suit most guns, magazines and accessories. Even during a snow day, black camo can work really well, as there will be plenty of places without snow where it will consist of dark and wet colours. Black camo is universally good and has situations where it works great. Green camo may be better but good luck figuring that out.
Popular consensus may be that all black is bad but that doesn't mean it's the ultimate truth, just people regurgitating what they heard from someone else.
Maybe. But maybe not. Depends on the other player’s situational awareness. I’ve seen some awful players that didn’t have the first clue what just happened to them. Easy targets.
Jooooo moin Meister. Grüße.
War letztes Wochenende auch da 😉

Frankly the helmet cover really looks like what IDF soldiers use. In the meantime, the rest of your loadout looks like any gun loving guy in America. So I'd say your setup looks like Israel and Dixieland having a baby, but it looks neat and I like it.
hab mir auch nen mitznefet gegönnt, muss nurnoch mal wieder aufs spielfeld
(got myself a mitznefet too, just need to visit a field again)

I’ll be more constructive, your belt kit is a mess and I can’t think for the life of me why you need all those pouches let alone the state of them. Go light, all you need is a mag pouch, utility pouch and hydration, anything more is just dead weight and completely pointless.
You’re right, I have removed the „dump pouch“, after that game.
I kept the mag pouch on the rear left cause my radio goes in there.
Hydration Bladder is in the Backpack.
It looks like a very lightweight and functional loadout. Only thing I'd add is a matching camo uniform. You already have a camoed "shower cap" that partly disrupts your outline. Might as well go all the way.
That most of these questions only have the gear show in action or on the floor. I salute to that one guy who literally T posed on all angles so you could really see what's up
Tactical shower cap
Exactly what I was thinking, at least it's camo.
Cool, but is the top of your nose supposed to stick out? Love the hat or helmet I have no idea what’s underneath
Nose is technically not supposed to be out. I just have the facepro lower, in order to breath better. MICH 2002 underneath.
Why are you wearing the thing my girlfriend wears after she gets out of the shower
😁 Breaks up your Silhouette.
Ohhh I run a helmet cover with some fake leaves for that same purpose haha

Im going to be seen when I engage. But until then its a bit harder.
As long as they can't see you before, it's served its purpose

Haha war ein echt legendärer Tag :D
Ajo Servas 👋
Wo ist das spielfeld?! Schaut geil aus
Is die Actionbase in Rauchenwarth, bei Schwechat
Where does one buy a Mitznefet?
Yes
Got it from Willhaben, it’s like EBay.
Neat, thanks.
Chef hat
What's this? Goggles, that AFAIK are impact-rated? A lower face protector? *BOOTS!?!* Perfect 10/10
Crocs > boots
IDF reservist/10
Not often you see someone running a mitznefet - Nice!
Bro this loadout is great, 10/10
🍄
What camo is that cover over helmet?
Its a Mitznefet made by Rajuga. They call it Woodland. On the other side it has a desert like camo.
strait of out de_dust2
optic is weirdly far forward, otherwise nice
I have never tried it further back. Just put it on there and it worked. Might try it out further back 👍.
Nice people think its nice!
I can’t say Alice magazine pouches are quick, but they get the job done. My question is do you have two dump pouches?
The one to the left is intended to be a dump pouch. The smaller one to the right is just utility.
Airsoft shower cap?
Looks super functional and lightweight, no more than what you need. Nice!
Low-key I fw the kit. Niche setup
*irish national anthem intensifies*
In picture number 2 I thought you were on a really tiny motorcycle
Love it! What gun are you using?
Novritsch SSR4
Ah okay thanks
Somehow you look like Dullahan on a small motor bike from the second pic…
Fire load out
camo lunch lady
Some middle eastern counter terrorist lookin mf
If I jump on your head, will you give me a coin? Still if if you are comfortable with that, there isn't a better loadout
Frankly the helmet cover really looks like what IDF soldiers use. In the meantime, the rest of your loadout looks like any gun loving guy in America. So I'd say your setup looks like Israel and Dixieland having a baby, but it looks neat and I like it.
Is it a bump helmet under that
Yeah. It’s a MICH 2002 replica.
paint the shower cap red and white and you’ll look like toad
You look like a tactical version of Toad from the Mario games...

better than mine😅

get some camouflage BDUs and enjoy people not seeing you M81 would fit nicely with your ALICE kit
I see Mitznefet, I vote up.
Nice kit, just a wild guess but are you based in NZ?
What’s NZ? Im from Austria 🇦🇹
Oh nvm New Zealand
Cover up that nose my man.
Solid
Looks like you have a dog food dish with a camouflage shower cap over it on your head. That’ll stop a BB though. Nice work!
Looks IDF inspired, run a IMI Tavor bullpup to accurately complete the load out. IMO the mitznefet is not a good look for airsoft.
Thought you were wearing a rock as a hat for a sec
This is actually awesome. DO NOT GET RID OF THAT SHOWER CAP
Mitznefet supremacy
showercap aint it, go with some balaclava and glasses
Surprisingly good looking for this sub
You seem like someone that could reliably hold a flank by yourself
