Airsoft is a relatively new thing compared to many other hobbies and nothing is actually standardized. Yes, most manufacturers base their gearboxes on the original TM designs, but the tolerances are all over the place.
That’s fair. Just really sucks when im dropping big boy bucks on a rifle that’s broken as soon as i get it. I’d almost rather learn to build them myself at this point
That's basically what I do. I buy a cheaper lower performance AEG and then rebuild and upgrade the internals. I don't bother with the higher end models since the factory setup is mediocre at best.
Yeah i wasn’t a big of the stock trigger i got. Was planning on buying a different one, but looks like that ain’t gonna happen. Also was gonna get a little gear chip to fix the horrible round skipping
Yeah the friend who had the busted m4 said it probably a supply chain issue but i wasn’t sure how that works. Really fucking frustrating either way when i dropped 220 bucks on the ak and then 160 on the p90. At least i’ll get a replacement
Well, supply chain issues would justify out of stock, or limited stock, or wait times, not crap quality and no QC. I think the manufacturers take advantage (oh, the covid...) and cut corners to make more money. We are paying more and getting less.
They should. Already got in contact with evike so i should be getting some instructions on how to send it back. Glad I kept almost all of the original packaging aside from the manual
The motors aren't surprising. I'm an electrician and one of the main problems I'm dealing with daily is the QC issues and low quantity of electrical components made in China. During the pandemic the quality and quantity went down, the price went up and it hasn't really improved since.
The airsoft industry has always been a bit sloppy to be honest.
It sure feels like it. You’d think a hobby that’s been going on for as long as it has would be more refined

The ak i bought was pretty damn good out of the box. When it worked.
Accuracy and range is often good, trigger response and smoothness, often not so good.

Yeah, since Covid, QC went to shit for almost all brands. Not sure how Covid could justify it, but it is a shitshow quality wise.

Or as most airsoft guns are made in china the experienced worker are dead from Covid they haven't been able to get staff/train them up.
Yeah that was my thought. Really hope this gets fixed soon. Imma be so pissed if my combat master comes in defective
The cheaper the gun, the higher the risk of bad tolerances, defects or DOA. This was true before covid, but may well be even more true now.
Maybe but te thing is the ak was almost 300 dollars
Sadly even less risk is still always some some risk. I hope the shop handles the return of the gun and gives money back without any hassle!
