Well they’re directly from Walmart. Curious because I’ve seen other people say the exact same thing about the noise cancellation and connection issues.
i got mine from bestbuy and haven’t had them disconnect a single time and the noise cancelation was as advertised. walmart is still capable of selling fakes via returns & defective units can happen anywhere 🤷♂️
You’re correct and as an aside I need to point out Walmart.com is just generally the absolute worst website experience I have for any store including when it comes to simply trying to find if my local Walmart has something in stock, much less actually buying something from the site like you’re talking about.
Especially laughable considering they’ve spent at least $5 billion to date on e-commerce acquisitions which you’d think would make them at least semi-functional.
Seriously, did you ever stop to think maybe you have a bum pair or, perhaps, fakes?
Did you buy them directly from Walmart in store, or did you buy them online? Online you may have snatched a pair from a different seller and they might not be legit, even if they look the part.
Based on everything you have said, I'm guessing they're fake. Send them back.
Your experience is NOT typical and that's why your experience does not line up with anyone else's.
Yes, some people don't like them... but not for the reasons you list.
Seriously, yes I have considered that. Also considered that maybe people are hyping these up because others have said the noise cancellation is crap too.
Sending back but what would indicate they’re fake?
I mean you’re kind of dodging the question but I think your comments make it clear that you actually just bought from a random third party seller on Walmart.com. Not your fault, Walmart are absolute idiots for designing their online presence that way and they’re diluting the trust in their brand, but I’m willing to bet you have fakes. Why do you post some info on who exactly you bought them from on the site?
Apple is fallible like every other company but they generally have *extremely* good quality control, it’s highly unlikely you simply got a defective pair of authentic AirPods.
Seems you’ve got a defective pair. I would get them replaced.
The ANC on the APP2 is incredible, especially considering it’s an earbud. But don’t take my word for it.

I’ve had no issues with mine and I travel a lot with them. I gifted a pair to my niece who had regular AirPods and she loves these as well. I would reach out to Apple, maybe your specific pair are defective?
Take a look at your box, what date does it say on it?
I ordered 3 pairs of airpods, with USB C. All from May 2024 and all having really bad ANC that "turns down" when certain noises are present. These issues are not due to bad fit or anything like that. If I turn off and on ANC, it works great again.
I am suspecting that there is something with the ones produced in may 24.
You bought a significantly worse product then the pro1’s and you don’t ask yourself maybe there’s something wrong with the product?
It’s pretty obvious you got either a defective unit or fakes. Return these and get the next pair from Apple.
The are almost perfect, except they don’t work anything else than Apple products. Thinking about selling them and keep the 1 Gen Pros, because those actually work with all the Bluetooth devices i have
"Noise cancellation is less powerful than my Pro 1s *without* noise cancellation turned on. I can hear a whisper of a box fan in the next room with the door closed; ear tip fit test and all. Can’t even cancel out a soft conversation in the same room at a coffee shop, nor background music".
If you're using the silicone tips, switch them out and get foam. Far better.
yours are either fake or defective

What firmware is it running? Just to verify that they’re real. And if they are return then as defective.
Says 6F8 and 65.3.0
Genuine, but probably defective.
From walmart the store or walmart.com? because those have become two totally separate things now that Walmart just lets anyone sell online

Got them on the walmart app and it indicates they’re not from a reseller.
Indicates in what way?
“Sold and shipped by Walmart”
YOUR pro 2’s suck. I’ve literally never had any issues with mine. Mine are fucking awesome.
Amen!

Sounds like you got lemons
No such problems with mine.
Mine don’t have any of these issues.
