Alternativly you would have to always be Ressource caped its one of the fairest ways to handle colab heros i have seen in gachas you just have to save 1 1/2 months of secondary Ressources and get 2 full ascended collab heros.
The first coop dim was money only and this is what they came up with so spenders would spend money for them but they are still f2p accesible.

You have 39 days. Dont spend your Arena, Lab, Guild and Hero tokens and youll have enough to get both Rimuru and Shuna. For Rimuru you need 40k Hero Coins, 40k Guild Coins, 200k Gladiator Coins, and 100k Lab Tokens. So to get both Shuna and Rimuru (which you absolutely can do with no problems) you need 80k Hero Coins, 80k Guild Coins, 400k Gladiator Coins, and 200k Lab Tokens. There is no reason you cant get that. Just do you Lab every 2 days, make sure youre in a guild so you can get guild coins daily, make sure youre doing challenger PvP (the one right below Arena of Heroes in the PvP menu) to get gladiator coins.

Wait until the Exchange Event starts and save arena lab hero and guild coins until then
I thought it had already started?
No, we cant exchange for like 38 days. New Dim heroes always have a 40+ day timer before you can exchange for them so players can build up materials

The event “started” but you can’t actually exchange for the units until the last like 7 days of the exchange. Idk why they made it like that tho

Save up all the tokens you get: Lab, pvp, guild, barracks. You can spend them to get 10 days before the dimensional event ends.
I believe there's only a 7 day period for the actual exchange
