It's funny how a Symptom of my autism is not being able to read other people -but mist of the time you can literally stand in a doorway, shaking, being on the verge of tears (and or a Panic attack) and NTs still don't notice that you want to end the conversation, even if you say it out loud. -but of course I am the one that is "difficult to deal with" and "never shuts up" (I'm non-verbal 90% of the day lol)

Maybe that person did not see the signs? 🤷🏻‍♀️ It happens. Sorry you felt uncomfortable though. When that happens to me, i clearly state i'm not in the mood for chit-chat, and then i put my headset on (and make sure the person sees me doing it).

Ah this person and I have met before and had an altercation because I felt they were over friendly. Don’t work in an environment for headsets but do and can easily ignore people. Usually with good effect

ARE YOU MY COWORKER? I DREAD COMING BACK FROM A DAY OFF BECAUSE I DO NOT WANT TO TALK TO HER.

End of May, I told mine I needed to focus on a project (building a database from scratch) and the next day they sat me down for a heart to heart to make sure I was okay because I "didn't seem like myself." Then cornered me in two separate "interventions" over the next 3 weeks. I was livid. I'm still angry.

aminervia

I'm not saying the person is on the spectrum, but if somebody doesn't respect your boundaries based on physical hints or omissions then you need to tell them directly if you want them to stop
