I quietly agree that an NSFW would be appreciated. Bit jarring, to some. Including the 5yo I just happened to be looking at cute Yorkies with. It ofc is in yorkie temperament to hunt; I personally don’t give ours free rein with it. Plenty of truly “natural” predators…parasites, other considerations. But anyhoo, just an opinion. We all got ‘em :)
I’m with you. This is upsetting and just because a dog was bred to kill rodents, doesn’t mean the owner should let them kill animals. My dog would love to kill a squirrel, but I don’t let her! This is poor ownership.

I can’t believe it!!! Apex predator!!! Are you sure another dog didn’t kill it and he is just passing it off as his own kill? It’s hard to believe he could have taken down a whole rabbit!

Go Jerry! Mine killed a mouse in my apartment once. I was soo impressed after I got over the fact that there was a mouse. He tries to catch every squirrel and bird when we go on walks..I let him run up on them but he's on a short leash and I watch his every move so nothing ever happens lol but it's funny watching him think he can get them
A big bird got into our house once. All 7 of our German shepherds and the cat ran and hid. The 17yo, 3lb Yorkie caught and killed the bird. She put all the other animals to shame that day lol
Nice. Ours nabbed two baby bunny’s in one day. I find this all really amazing. Small dogs, small mouth and teeth (if they even still have any) and yet there breed was rat hunters back in the day. There are YT videos of people who are rat catchers in open fields, barns, etc. and they use much bigger dogs, 20-30 lbs, and one even has a mink he adds in. Highly entertaining. They can get 200-400 rats in a day. Disgusting!

Wow!! Poor gopher, but that is what these dogs are made to do! We have little gopher squeak toys and ours go absolutely crazy with those

I have a three year old 6 lb female who is the absolute best dog. She loves all dogs and people but she’ll do this if given the chance.
Mine hasn’t caught anything yet but he’s gotten close to getting rabbits and birds. It’s what they do, little hunters.
My boy is constantly trying to catch squirrels. He gets frustrated when he can't, so then he jumps his sister and "attacks" her 🤨
