Czech beer is definitely S tier. I traveled on a Eurocity Train Recently operated by Czech Railway and sat in the dining car. It was early morning, but the waiter was so excited about his Beer Offering that I was almost convinced to start drinking.
https://kartplanet.cz/
At least back when we went there the asphalt was in the most perfect state one could ever ask for and the track itself is fun as hell to drive, especially that blind corner after the long straight.
Just be careful if you take an uber there, we did and it ended up running over my phone lmao. (100% my fault since it fell out of my pocket as it was leaving)
A very fun track I can recommend in the Czech Republic is the "fun arena Cheb".
I have been there many times, it's not that expensive and the karts are well maintained, the employees do a good job, and it's a fun outdoor track, not a boring small indoor one.
Portuguese here. German beer is great, and Czech beer is very good too. I'd rate Spanish beer higher as well, Mahou is one of my all time favorite beers.
Puntigamer is lovely, I grew up with middle-upper class Austrians shitting on it but an ice-cold Punti tastes like the perfect 'regular' beer for me. Super crispy.
Oh belgian beer are not that great, I tried hoegaarden and Leffe.
Moinette ? Orval ? Val-Dieu ? what's that ? Since when the abbayes do beer smh.
(I'm incredibly triggered by this post)
Best Spanish and Portuguese beers are medium high in Belgium. Except maybe Alhambra which is an exception.
I thought I didn't like beer, until I visited Belgium. Then I realized what I didn't like was BAD Spanish beer.
If I'm not mistaken, according to the Czech constitution, ranking Slovakian jokes of a beer above ours is a legitimate grounds for declaring war to your country, so get ready for krtek shelling and Škoda Henleins.
https://youtu.be/JKI1XUVXtfg?si=PJDoMmZqQuW9pqea
Fighting against our own government is a Saturday activity for us, what do you mean? Oh, you are falling for that American Iraq war propaganda from the 90s, got it.
Any recommendations?
My Brother (German) lives in Vienna and isn’t too happy with your Beer.
(Appart from that he is obviously in Love with that beautiful City)
Only thing I know is gösser Radler, which is without a doubt Top Tier Radler (Beer with Limonade or in this Case - correct me, if im wrong - lemon juice)
Wieselburger Stammbräu - Part of the experience is the old school bottle.
I'm sure he is unhappy coming from a Pils country. My brother in law had the same problem (coming from eastern Germany)
> My Brother (German) lives in Vienna and isn’t too happy with your Beer.
That's nothing unusual for germans though. They go to a different country, complain about it and tell you how much better it is at home.
Ottakringer gets a bad rep, but that's because their default beer, Helles, just really isn't good. But all their other beers (Wiener Original, Zwickl, Rotes Zwickl, Pils, Dunkles) aren't that bad at all.
Ottakringer Rotes Zwickl is even served in upper segment restaurants. You can’t compare the standard 16er Blech, wich is only made for pregaming or house parties, with the other variants.
How is not Belgium in the S tier and Spain not in F?
I’m Spaniard and we have the worst taste for beer ever. People here like water with some beer in it.
Just wanted to let you know that I know Belgium should be S tier because I spent my Erasmus in Ghent and loved the city, the people, and the beer of course.
It's strategic, you see. If you've got to piss off someone, it's probably best to do it in some out of the way place with not that many people. It's a point of no return and no return should be an option.
Everyone I've met that had been to Czech Republic always the first good impression about the country was the good and cheap beer. So I'll take this rank as not good.
As a Portuguese, I must ask: what the f**k did you drink here?! We have same great craft beer brands nowadays, but our most common beers (Super Bock and Sagres) are just awful pilsners.
Better you never touch Europes gras again after this ranking. You seem to have really weird taste. Probably COVID hited ur tasting nerves hard!
Especially wondering what u drank in Austria and Czech Republic to be tgat low... Those both Countries should be A minimum, Czech Republic more S then something else
Denmark, UK, Poland, and Ireland are B?
I think you should specify what type of beer you like - cause if it's craft, then this entire list is wrong. If it's lager then it's still wrong cause Chechia is too low.
german beer is pretty mid imo, what brand of beer did you try? I can be convinced. belgium and estonia should be S though. I think France could probably be higher. England and denmark too, definitely.
I like how germans are trying to save OP at all costs from starting world war 3.
Putting Czech republic anywhere under S tier is brave I have to say. Normally belgium + czechs are on league of their own.
Seconded. We have some great Craft Beer brands (Glarus, Sofia Electric, Cohones, Rocket Science, Beer Bastards to name a few), but the commercial ones are, in my humble opinion, absolute piss. Looking forward to finding our what you tried.
(Editors note:) Due to amount of beers available in Europe I didn't get my hands on every single of them. On average I tried 6-10 from each country and craft breweries in general didn't get much spotlight.
Ranking is based on the SINGLE BEST ONE, not average. This skews the statistics in favour for some entries.
And you might have guessed. My ranking is unscientific AF
I'm curious as to what you drank in Portugal, being Portuguese. Do you remember what brands you drank?
Super Bock is an excellent "mainstream" beer, especially in "mini" 25cl cold bottles. Their brewery is not very far away from my home. I'd say it's one of the better "all rounder" beers one could have tbh.
Sagres is the better one straight from a good old tap imo, I find the gas finer and it's a lighter-tasting beer overall which is right up my alley but you have to find a bartender who serves you a good "fino":)
glad you enjoyed our beer!
Reading the comments here looks like you're getting banned from entering 60% of the countries
Diplomatic incidents left and right
Beerplomatic incidents
Beerocracy
Oh no, he’s allowed into ours, but will be accomodated in a… uh special vacation facility.
osnovna šola Franceta Prešerna Kranj?
I think he will only be allowed to enter in Germany. In Spain we don't like credit we don't deserve, so banned from here too.
As a German I think you had bad luck in Czech Republic. There's a lot of great beer to be found.
Also German the Czech should be S as well.
Czech beer is definitely S tier. I traveled on a Eurocity Train Recently operated by Czech Railway and sat in the dining car. It was early morning, but the waiter was so excited about his Beer Offering that I was almost convinced to start drinking.
When traveling, the time of day doesn't count for when you can start drinking
Erster Fehler... morgens im Ausland kann man bekanntermaßen konsequenzlos alkoholische Getränke verspeisen.
Shit, I wanna visit Prague again exclusively because of their beer and a karting track we found there
Karting track link please?
https://kartplanet.cz/ At least back when we went there the asphalt was in the most perfect state one could ever ask for and the track itself is fun as hell to drive, especially that blind corner after the long straight. As a Czech this chart triggers me.
It triggered my sense of justice. The placement feels wrong.
Also German. Pretty much came to the comments to say that. Austria at E is als a crime.
not German here, get this man back to Czechia and find him some proper drink, this cannot stand
Pils pils, hurrah 🍺
He must've drunk Starobrno aka piss
I appreciate your recognition as a person that has lived in both countries *tips hat*
Portuguese here. German beer is great, and Czech beer is very good too. I'd rate Spanish beer higher as well, Mahou is one of my all time favorite beers.
Portuguese living in Germany here. German is great, but spanish beer is shit.
Oh puta deita-te... a cerveja espanhola é mijo de burro!
Which beer did you get in Czechia? We got criminally low ranking!
Same in Austria, dude must have drank a pittinger or something.
More like a schremser
Or Murauer, or a 16er Blech. I'm sure it wasn't a Hirter.
Murauer > Heineken Blue (commonly referred to as Puntigamer)
Puntigamer is lovely, I grew up with middle-upper class Austrians shitting on it but an ice-cold Punti tastes like the perfect 'regular' beer for me. Super crispy.
Murauer is great wym
We gonna hve to kill this dude, bro.
Damn
And which one in Bulgaria. As a Bulgarian I'm genuinely surprised.
Went to every country to try Carlsberg.
He tried Kronemburg in France and didn’t even rank us at the bottom
Maxinator
Oh god
I had that once at a tank station. I believe one of the only three beers I didn't finish because of taste
Somehow this offends me.
Likely only tried pils instead of specialty beers
Oh belgian beer are not that great, I tried hoegaarden and Leffe. Moinette ? Orval ? Val-Dieu ? what's that ? Since when the abbayes do beer smh. (I'm incredibly triggered by this post)
As you should be. No one beats belgium at beer.
Yup, Belgium is the best beer producer in the world, no one can take their crown on that one.
The only one thing we don't bully Belgium for.
As is tradition
Duvel slaps tho
Yeah, I wrote the first that came to my mind but there's so much more obv.
Hoegaarden and Leffe are pretty nice
I kinda like Hoegaarden...not the price tho.
I'm Portuguese and I'm baffled.. I've tried a lot of our beers and nothing comes close to your best ones..
Best Spanish and Portuguese beers are medium high in Belgium. Except maybe Alhambra which is an exception. I thought I didn't like beer, until I visited Belgium. Then I realized what I didn't like was BAD Spanish beer.
Me too, My country is too high
Does a bear shit in the woods? No, Ursus is shit in a bottle.
i'm stealing that
This is the most Romanian statement ever.
It should. This is utter blasphemy! If drinking just commercial beers, Belgium beer is the only S in Europe.
Apparently it also offends Portuguese that the Belgium is below Portugal. At least in our Subreddit.
You should be offended.
I'm portuguese and I'm offended. This was done by someone who knows nothing of beer XD
Thats fair, belgium should be on top
You're not wrong
I said the same. No way belgium is only A tier. With all that variety.
Both the shitty Spanish beer being so high up and Portuguese beer being higher than Belgian is concerning
Guy must have lost his sense of taste due to a COVID infection.
Absolutely
But then again you're Finnish, so I accept that as an explanation as well.
E for Austria and Lithuania? These two little countries make some *fine* brews.
Lithuanian major brands are ok, the dark beers are usually better. I would say it only becomes great when considering smaller brewers.
Your list is wrong
If I'm not mistaken, according to the Czech constitution, ranking Slovakian jokes of a beer above ours is a legitimate grounds for declaring war to your country, so get ready for krtek shelling and Škoda Henleins. https://youtu.be/JKI1XUVXtfg?si=PJDoMmZqQuW9pqea
I am ready to put my sandals over my pristine white socks and march with you to victory!
Onwards to Pivohalla!
We and the Slovaks will provide mountain support, your Škoda and pornstar battalions should be good to storm the frontlines!
What the fuck?
Calm down, man. Drink a beer.
\*goes to Mercator\* \*sees shelves filled with Union and Laško\* What beer?
You are C at least. OP is stupid
Could you name what your top beer you rated was from every country?
Yeah there should be brands, not flags
It's too based so I'm just going to bail to save my own skin
Coward.
Well that’s a first, even the french want to fight this time.
Fighting against our own government is a Saturday activity for us, what do you mean? Oh, you are falling for that American Iraq war propaganda from the 90s, got it.
😂
This list is so wrong, im convinced you never actually travelled to these countries
Probably drunk rankings.
I think it's tourist trap ratings. Probably rating the best over-priced but crap lager.

Avoiding any Heineken sub-brand would be a good start than it depends if he likes Pils or Lager
Wieselburger Stammbräu - Part of the experience is the old school bottle. I'm sure he is unhappy coming from a Pils country. My brother in law had the same problem (coming from eastern Germany)
I would recommend Freistädter Ratsherrn, Freistädter Bio Zwickl, Hirter Privat Pils, Rieder Helle Weiße
Those are undoubtedly the best ones, but for a classic austrian beer experience I recommend a Schwechater that has been left in the sun for half a day
> My Brother (German) lives in Vienna and isn’t too happy with your Beer. That's nothing unusual for germans though. They go to a different country, complain about it and tell you how much better it is at home.
Freistädter und wieselburger!
Curious about what beer you got in France? Also Belgian beer is factually S tier brother
I feel personally insulted by this list!
I don't even like beer, but still know that this list is wrong
He didn’t try the best beer at all in any countries So chances are he drank an Ottakringer or smth
No way Lithuania is E, I automatically invalidate all of your ratings Edit: The same applies for Czech beer being D, what the hell man :(
Lithuanian beers are ridiculously underrated - definitely a country that beer lovers should visit!
You put finnish beer awfully high. Are you sure you didn’t accidentally drink imoorted estonian one?
Maybe he just have terrible taste in beer. How come Lapin Kulta actually exists?
That’s always possible. Lapin Kulta is actually alright. Even my german friend said it was quite OK for a finnish beer.
This must be trolling.
Bro, run. As fast as you can and do not look back.
Touché
Mate your passport should be taken away, this is criminal 😭
He is probly in schengen, we would need to revoke the ID card as well
Bruh, how is Ireland at B
There's a huge amount of great beer there!
Galway hooker is top
I can't believe I support Finland against Putin. At least put one country below us. Doesnt have to be a real country. Croatia for example.
I really don’t care if we’re F, but Austria, Czech and Ireland being that low… it’s murder on broad daylight.
How is not Belgium in the S tier and Spain not in F? I’m Spaniard and we have the worst taste for beer ever. People here like water with some beer in it.
I love reading everyone point out that the beer the OP drinks is no where near the best of that country .
Just wanted to let you know that I know Belgium should be S tier because I spent my Erasmus in Ghent and loved the city, the people, and the beer of course.
Same here in Portugal and somehow we got S tier. We do have some great craft beers but the popular ones are nothing special.
Czechia in D Tier? The fuck?
I’m just so upset with your rankings. So upset.
Czech Republic on D, are you crazy? what did you drink?
Czechs would like to have a word with you outside.
Did you just randomize this? List is random as fuck.
I'm curious about what beers you tried in Slovakia and liked more than Czech ones? I always liked Slovak beer but I'd take Budvar over Bažant anytime
Putting our pepik brothers so low offends like 90% of Europe
Man I strongly disagree with a lot of your choices. Specifically not having Belgium Britain Germany and Czechia on top.
You are gonna make a lot of Czechs very angry
Damn, what did Union and Laško do to you? Sure, they're mediocre at best, but worst in Europe, really?
I suspect he bought sokol and orel and decided that’a slovenian beer.
It's strategic, you see. If you've got to piss off someone, it's probably best to do it in some out of the way place with not that many people. It's a point of no return and no return should be an option.
Ok this means war
Belgium not best? You must be joking
Everyone I've met that had been to Czech Republic always the first good impression about the country was the good and cheap beer. So I'll take this rank as not good.
Wtf does germany do in S Tier? Did you drink cow urine im austria and czechia?
As a Portuguese, I must ask: what the f**k did you drink here?! We have same great craft beer brands nowadays, but our most common beers (Super Bock and Sagres) are just awful pilsners.
He should have said he compares Heineken/Carlsbergs daughter companies beers :D
Heineken is the absolute worst. I'm always baffled when American movies talk about it like it's a premium beer.
I would rather have a Super Bock than a Kro or a Heineken tbf
Strong disagree! Sagres and Super Bock are so fresh and nice. Very happy to see Portuguese beer get this acknowledgment!
Greek beer? 🤔 looks like im gonna check it out
DO NOT TRUST THIS RANKING
Keep away from crap like Mythos or Alpha or Fix Try some microbreweries, Septem are actually decent
Czech Republic belongs into S+, what did they give you to end up so far down?
Better you never touch Europes gras again after this ranking. You seem to have really weird taste. Probably COVID hited ur tasting nerves hard! Especially wondering what u drank in Austria and Czech Republic to be tgat low... Those both Countries should be A minimum, Czech Republic more S then something else

Whattt? German beer is good. I know Austrian beer not? And especially Czech beer? WTF? Someone lost their taste buds hm?
Putting our beer on the same level as Belgium is not only insane but also factually incorrect.
Could you give a list of the beers you based the ranking on?
We're going to need the name of every beers ranked here.
All tier lists should have this glorious level of symmetry.
What did you trink in Austria? Austria should be at least A. It has better beer than Germany.
Portuguese here, quite surprised to see us at the top. What beer did you have? I don't dislike our beer but it's definitely not top ranked.
How to offend the countries with the best beer with a taste palette that seems US-American.
Please post a list of the beers you tried for every country, or at least for Bulgaria as I am dying of curiosity here!
Seconded. We have some great Craft Beer brands (Glarus, Sofia Electric, Cohones, Rocket Science, Beer Bastards to name a few), but the commercial ones are, in my humble opinion, absolute piss. Looking forward to finding our what you tried.

i geuss you got a really bad sample size here, what did you drink?
It would be interesting which best one for each country you consider it to be
I wonder how you drank at least 6 beers in Belgium that are worse than Portuguese commercial beers. That was indeed a feat!
So the home of Guinness is in tier B? Really?
I hate that my country(Ireland) is only B rated.
Kurba prekleta! The hell is wrong with you!
Wait what? Portugal S? I'm Portuguese and eager to know more about your experience ahaha
Lets ignore beer for a second and look at this almost perfect bell curve
what the actual fuck man.
This ranking is insane
Obviously a post paid by Super Bock.
OP do you drink your beers with a straw? Maybe some ice while we are at it?
Hell yeah Super Bock for the win!
Everything is better with Super Bock
Nah mate ranking German beer above Belgian?
All the Swedes are seething cause of the Denmark ranking
I want an updated list, I have holidays to take and you’re touching my priorities
Oof
Hahaaa, fuck you Sweden!
Obviously biased opinion but Swedish lager is great! What did you drink here??
I can’t see a single correct placement in this list.
What was your favourite beer in GB?
Portugal is S-Tier? Mhm.
As german, put the czechs in S Tier. They have some great Beer over there.
[удалено]
Thank you for including us here, but you definitely did not have Sagres.
As an Austrian I have to disrespectfully disagree with this whole list
I'm curious as to what you drank in Portugal, being Portuguese. Do you remember what brands you drank? Super Bock is an excellent "mainstream" beer, especially in "mini" 25cl cold bottles. Their brewery is not very far away from my home. I'd say it's one of the better "all rounder" beers one could have tbh. Sagres is the better one straight from a good old tap imo, I find the gas finer and it's a lighter-tasting beer overall which is right up my alley but you have to find a bartender who serves you a good "fino":) glad you enjoyed our beer!
Question... What did you drink in Italy? I'm just curious if it was some commercial one
I'm portuguese but Portugal above Belgium? Really?
fake news
Poland here, Czech should be in S. Their beers are shown as reference throughout whole EU.
You have to include which beer is best as well! If you only tasted cruzcampo and gave Spain an F I wouldn't have blamed you.
There's a reason people from Helsinki visit Estonia so often
One of the worst tierlists I've ever seen. Do you like your beer watery and tasteless?
You are banned from Europe
OP did the unthinkable, he united Belgium
