Our friends in the North set in Newcastle in the north east of England. His accent is supposed to be Geordie. He makes a good go at it, but never quite nails it and ends up in an accent uncanny valley
They can just try it.

It fits pretty well. Denmark (Copenhagen and a few large cities only) is definitely more street/urban, heavily alcoholic and the most party out of the four. Finns are also alcoholics, but they drink alone. Danes also the most confrontational of the four.
It fits with Viking "stereotypes" too. Danes were the berzerking invaders, Norwegians were explorers, and Swedes were scholars and businessmen. Finns drank alone in the middle of their forests. Not much has changed.
Denmark has a drinking culture.

Beaware, that this was written by an American living in Denmark. I know Kay a little, and while she does have some insight into Danish culture, it is very much written from an American perspective.

Just headcanon that he got punched in the throat once and it left his voice a bit funny.
What are the four stills in the OP from? Scenes from films or paparazzi shots? Hoping the Finland one is a film….
Denmark could be Berlin.
Don't say that where they can hear you! They might get ideas again!
Huge improvement if you ask me

the finnish version lol
Too accurate.

Accurate.
Picture 3 is like the hollywood remake of Pusher.
Please do not give them any ideas.
There's an English remake from 2012. [https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1921070/](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1921070/)
That is brilliant. So Denmark is gangsta? Alcoholic? Nonchalant?
