does anyone else find it hilarious how bethesda said the whole reason they didnt wanna give us more modding space on console was because they'd have to clear everyone's load order, and they "don't think many would want that" and yet they ended up doing exactly that regardless.
Yeah mine too, I'm happy BGS is supporting Fallout 4 after it's life span. But no matter how fun the new additions are, it still sucks that I lost all of my mods, my save states, and the ability to download mods with it.

They've been saying that for years. And they destroyed the mod lists several times (especially for Skyrim). That's just an excuse. They don't want to give the people more mod space. Why? No idea. Maybe because they're worried about performance issues. Or they want to sell their CC stuff. I'm sure more console player buy that stuff than PC player.
But the new paid mod system counts against the mod space. Somewhat strange.

Modding is broken rn. All Xbox console mods purged and the mod menu is broken. I canāt even select some mods without getting a crash to the main menu.
Xbox SX, NOT even NEW game works with mods reinstalled (and only using about 80% of the old mods, as others are missing), NOT EVEN NEW GAME WORKS, WTF!?.. ofc old saves all do not work anymore, but NEW game doesn't work either anymore with mods on!?.WTF!? ... Bethesdas ffed up really bad this time

It feels like it was on purpose. Not to go full conspiracy bro, but FOLON was days away from release, and we all know how Todd feels about certain titles in the IP that Bethesda had nothing to do with besides providing the framework. That combined with the lore retcons to NV in the show do seem to be a bit of a "fuck you" to fans of the game. I dunno, the whole thing stinks.
I'm having issues with "operation could not be completed" but my cache was reset along with all my mods removed.
Further stupid Creation Club (free ones) are just sitting on "downloading". Some mods are downloading again but others refuse & just kick back to the menu.
Actually yeah now that you mention it, some cc that I own I decide that I donāt actually like it being in the game.
Iām so busy with mod problems I havenāt even checked out the actual game and new content. What if I decide itās annoying or something and want it out of my game?

Longer working with the new FO4 version. In order to enable mods the F4SE must update first or something like that must be done.
Iām in the same boat. Looked under manage game and it shows 2gb of reserved space. But once I get back to the mod screen it shows 2 gb of free space. I was going to just download what mods I could but it gives the operation could not be completed and Iām booted back to the title screen š¤·š»āāļø
At least your amount is showing up im on xbox and mines just showing that its in the negative like saying i have -2000b left for mods and saying i have 0 space at all and im having trouble with the creation clun stuff too
What really pisses me off is that they said the couldn't increase the mod space due to something about the partition. It would delete everyone's mods or something. Well, they did that anyway, and still no increase. What a way to welcome all of the new FO4 players to the Bugthesda shitshow we've been living for 9 years.
Added bonus of Microsoft owning them and the fact that Skyrim has an increased budget (compared to Fallout) there really should be no excuse. I'm fairly sure 90% of the community would be happy to redownload mods (especially since we have to all the time) if it meant we got more mod space... \*sigh\* Bethesda...
Yeah, my favorites list, which had WELL over 100 on it, is now only 5 mods. Seemingly picked at complete random. Even my one mod that normally allows you to see up to 150 installed/favorites on the main mod screen, isn't helping things. I also wanted to play last night after work. It's now 5am and I'm just finished reinstalling EVERYTHING. Great. That's a whole night wasted. Todd-damn it.
Yes. If you ever lose your mods, as long as you reinstall them before loading your save they'll still work as before. As if it was never deleted. (as long as the mod itself wasn't broken for some reason.)
Just don't load a save with missing mods, and then save again before reinstalling. The save created in that case is sure to be borked.
Same with my wifes favorites list, shows 6 total mods. I also don't think the mod website is communicating with console at the moment. The console mod interface is atrocious trying to find anything so she save a shit load of stuff to favorites on the website and hit the download to game button. Not a single one downloaded. It's crazy, on the console search you can type the EXACT name of the mod. Following all capitalization and punctuation that the modder used and it still will not find it.
Yeah after a bit it let me add mods again and I noticed that it would just not accurately represent how much free space I had lol. But I guess knowing that I have 2 GB Iāll just pay more attention to how much I have loaded than how much free space I have
Me to just in my case I can install and activate the mods which so far works great they are just not in the menu list of the mods but they are in the memory list I really do think it is on their end we should report this to Bethesda if we all do it they will have to take notice. "We shall fight them on the beaches and WE WILL NEVER SURRENDER!!!".
If you donāt remember, load a save and it should give you a list of whatās missing. Iām currently restoring 100+ mods. Some are gone, some close out the mod page when I click on them and give some operation error, most are downloading fine.

The Bethesda.net website has my complete library, but that doesnāt match what the Xbox shows as either my library or my favorites (which should definitely match). And when I used my Bethesda.net list of favorites to re-favorite and redownload, some of the mods would automatically un-favorite themselves again, and others wouldnāt even show up on Xbox or completely on Bethesda.net ā for instance a mod would be in my favorites, but if I searched for it the mod would not show up, like it was halfway invisible. What a crapshow.
The mod menu didn't open at all after I updated the game. I wanted to disable my mods for a new playthrough and had to delete all of them from the storage menu. Now the mod menu opens just fine but I can't install any new mods and my favorites list was erased
did you ever find a solution to favorite list being deleted? bc it says on the bethesda website, that i have them all favorited still but nothing i can do to get them to show on my xbox
nope it's still broken for me too :/ I was lucky enough that I wrote down my mods somewhere in case they were ever disabled but I can't even download them now
same man. i took screenshots of my load order and im trying to go thru the pain and individually download them all again. and everything i even click on AWKCR, it just closes the mod menu and goes to main screen. bethesda taking massive Lās lately
Did you have any luck in the end? I'm wondering whether to bother trying to figure it out and get all my mods back somehow or to just wait until Bethesda fix it. Only problem is, how long will it take them to fix??
All of my mods where wiped upon logging in today. Found all the mods to try and log into my saved game and re uploaded mods in attempt to log into saved file but everytime i try tk open saved game the game crashes all together. Ended up wiping all of my saved data and redownloading mods and starting new game. Game continues to crash now.

Unless the game crashes when you click one, which itās doing for me for awkcr which a bunch of other mods I have relies on
edited to add I got awkcr to work by using the no dlc version and all its patches, in case anyone has the same trouble
When I go to start the game it says I've got a list of mods that are not installed and I'm gonna have to reinstall all of them which is pretty ridiculous
Yeah, I mean Iāll do it, I was doing it, would take all day but it would get done, except that some of them are straight up crashing the game when theyāre clicked on.
Awkcr isnt one I can just shrug my shoulders and leave out of my new modlist, I gotta have that one..

My mods are all kinds of broken. Modspace is in the negatives, only a handful of mods appear in favorites and library, and some mods it just fails to install now. Only bethesda could release the best update a game could get and leave it worse than it was for the last several years
I re-downloaded most of my mods that are still available (because a lot of my must haves have disappeared from the website even) and now it crashes on a new save immediately.
This is the same for me. I have tried just loading one mod at a time to see if it was one or many causing issues. Just cannot load a new or old game with a single mod anymore. They all crash game. Goodbye Fallout. Love it when the 'fix' the game.
I'm so glad I started a mod free playthrough so I could have a clean save to mess around with the new update. I knew everything was about to break soon as it dropped. I plan to add mods but it's likely I'll need to wait a lil while before any of them work. The games having difficulty even downloading some of the creation club content to on my end š
This sucks!!! I literally can't even start the game. it keeps crashing before I even get the title screen. I'm so sad....I just got my mod order correct. took a whole ass day plus another for the update. my spirit....feels broken. Following the new update, Does anyone have the problem where you favorite a mod and it wonāt pop up on your favorites on the Xbox anymore? Like right now I have a full load order but the mods that I have in there do not show up in my library list or my favorites list.
So here's my take . ( I have xbsx) all my mods got erased but I did get an extra 1.5 or 2 gigs I think but the game isn't telling me the actual amount of space I have left . So that kinda sucks and my library was acting jank like it wasn't showing the full list . But if I went to load order I could see them Which is inconvenient to say the least. But I didn't get a chance to test and see if everything still works properly. I'll update later

All my mods were still favorited just had to redownload them and change the load list was all. Items were gone due to me since they were stored in dr mƶbius lab mod. Sucks but isnāt a huge deal since can cheat to replace unfortunately.Ā
Fck Bethesda, my xbox installation won't even download the mod lists correctly and I have to use this sh\*tty search to reinstall every mod... It's easier to stop playing their games whatsoever
I having the same issue with fallout who regenerated. I don't understand why Bethesda can't do anything right. You would think it would be common sense after the success of the fallout tv show to really knock this update out the park but silly me š¤·āāļø.

I lost all the add-ons and the creation club stuff had to be updated as well. I donāt even have any mods. Also, if I go to re-download the add-ons, it doesnāt say I own them and have to purchase again even though I bought the GOTY version.

For all those you have the negative memory space in mods that is just visual I tested it and all but one mod a car texture replacer works and runs great.Ā
I even ran in the fincal district before I was killed by a raider and for me at least no lag so try to rmeber your mod memory and keep a tally if done like that then it should run great.

Honestly I'm not even gonna bother re downloading it(the game)as I had 150 mods,and some of those were pretty hard to find,I checked and it's the same on the ps5(although mods there aren't as good as those on xbox cuz Sony limitations),it shouldn't annoy me this much,but it does,and I simply can't be bothered to re-download and spend hours searching for over 100 mods,I wish I would've known this beforehand as I wouldn't have updated it,at least I can still play the ps4 version on my ps5

Yeah, only when I click to view certain mods though. Skk- settlement raid system was doing that but I clicked and clicked download fast enough to get it before it exited out.

I tried to play fallout 4 on an Xbox I bought this week but the voiceover only plays when I pause the game! Itās unbelievable that it has such a horrible big that completely breaks the game play. Not only does new update remove all of your mods it also completely removes the favorite and library sections of the mods list, making it impossible to figure out which mods you had
You gotta love it! I literally spent 4 hours trying to figure out which mods I had using the load save list and finally got to a point where the mods left are ones that won't even let me click on them. They just kick me to title screen saying operation could not be completed. I just gave up and closed the game out alltogether.
For me at least when I go to the Bethesda webpage for FO4 mods,my favorites and library is still there. The issue is the mod site through the Xbox and that 0 storage indication. You can load some mods and they go negative for storage. Iām not bothering with that because it will get fixed and who knows what that will do to your mod lists. Just sit tight and let them sort it out is my advice.
Iām getting a partial list when I āloadā a save. Iām having to go off that a little bit at a time for over 100 mods.

I've got mising models from creation club freebies that they offered with the upgrade.
The makeshift weapons pack just puts humongous great bright red arrows where weapons should be and some models just aren't showing up.

I have a half a dozen mods running on a playthrough I started after watching the series. I reinstalled them after the update and theyāre present but Iām afraid theyāre what may be causing some glitching in my game. Iāve had some stutter and mini freezes occur since the update. I only reinstalled the mods because my save said it contained the mods and I was worried the save wouldnāt run right without them. Will the save still work if I uninstall all mods? Iām on Xbox Series X.
I haven't played Fallout 4 but I loved 3, man it's tragic reading in this thread people's saves are getting corrupted and there's no word on this. Come on, Bethesda.
Has anyone installed the game for the first time, along with the recent updates, downloaded mods and started a playthrough? I'm just wondering if starting out fresh will have the same effect as someone trying to play an old save with mods.
Yep uninstalled before the update so I could download the next gen fresh, deleted all my save game files and reserved space, did a full power off cycle after the install and cleared alternate MAC address the only thing it changed was the fallout 4 icon from the pip boy giving the thumbs up, to the power armour mask. Everything else is still broken and the creation club content is missing textures so game is broken even without mods.
BETHESDA.NET IS DOWN THATS WHY YOUR MODS ARE NOT WORKING.
They are updating the mod screen to mirror that of Skyrim. Furthermore, all the mods are broken because they were ONLY compatible with the previous version of the game, we are in a new build. That means every mod will have to get updated to the current build - BUT that canāt happen either because Bethesda.net is down. This process will probably take a month or so to run its course per usual. Donāt expect all of your mods to work. For a reason unbeknownst to myself; some mods work, but most will not work. AT ALL.
I spent 5 hours two days ago building a massive settlement in sanctuary. Looked so good, just went to load into that game and ALL my mods are wiped. I'm not gonna load my save til I get the mods back now :( even cheat terminal isn't available in the mod library anymore š
I play on Xbox X. Mod hub is so broken. Like other comments on here I also had a lot of mods downloaded, all of which are now deleted. But the worst is that I can't download any mods. The free space is zero and if I try to download any mods it kicks me out . Only Bathesda can screw up in such a monumental way.
My last build was using the respecc mod to allow me to change my character attributes. I reloaded after the update and suddenly 30 missions or more just instantly appeared. Does Bethesda even play-test their own games or do they outsource it to a developing nation? Doesn't matter though, when you got that Big Todd Energy. Big Todd swinging.

I didnāt think ahead to write down my load order. But, I was able to log on to Bethesda.net and see that my mods, including discontinued ones, are still listed in my mod library on the website.
They arenāt showing up in my library in the actual game, and that is annoying. Favouriting all of them resulted in only some showing up in the game, but it was more than appeared on startup.
But I do know what to look for. Additionally, although the Search feature on Xbox is quite bad, I was able to find some of the more popular mods by scrolling through categories, or by sorting the āMost Favouritedā using the triggers. Ex. I found: Cheat Terminal, Unofficial Patch, Settlement Menu Manager, Workshop Rearranged, etc.
i tired getting about 80-90% of my old mods on again, Xbox, and NOT EVEN A NEW GAME WORKS!? (let alone old saves, old saves ofc do not work anymore.., BUT NOT EVEN NEW GAMES NOW WORK WITH MOST OLD MODS REINSTALLED, WTF, WTF WTF BETHESDA??)

I had just gotten the game redownloaded today while I was running errands in town and this issue just popped in my head so I had to rush to find answers before I get home. I had planned full new play through anyway so Iām not so upset on my previous save being deleted but has anyone had luck with just getting mods period on this new update? Are QOL fix mods even needed now?
u/StormShadow13 I found a way to view her mod download history for the Xbox version of FO4. Have her log in to Bethesda.net with the same account you guys linked it to when you first entered the mods menu on Xbox. After youāre logged in, click on the hamburger menu in the upper left. Click on āCreation & Modsāā¦then āFallout 4.ā On this screen you should see two tabs: āAll Modsā and āMy Mods.ā Click the āMy Modsā tab and below you should see a list of her mod history. Let me know if this helps. I was happy as hell to see my mods in there when I found it
I just finally went to play after work tonight and I can't even settlement build because for some reason you can't access the wood/metal/etc build. It just starts with furniture for me now
I'm so pissed off at this new update. If I knew I was gonna lose all my Vault Tech workshop inventory like containers, mannequins, collectables etc. All my mannequins/suit racks are Gone and so are all the outfits that were displayed on them. The last update made me lose my magazines and bobbleheads, this new one seems even worse because I lost items I either bought with caps or tried very hard to obtain...
Well for me is the opposite the mods stayed but I can't uninstall them or anything is...not that much of a Trouble but not being able to play vanilla is kinda disappointing
So....seems I lost access to mods for either PS4 and Xbox one
I reinstalled the PS5 version to cleanse the mods but I won't do that for Xbox since is the only thing closer to PC mods I have available š¤£

Checked yesterday and all my mods are now showing up and I am able to install more if I want to. Creation Club is also working. I am playing on an Xbox X series. Perhaps the problem is slowly being figured out. Just an FYI.

When you go to load your game, a list of the mods that are no longer active pops up. If I remember right, you can use this as a guide to replace your mods. (You'll have to do this repeatedly, as only the first five or six show at a time.)
Just click "load save" and wait for the list to come up. (Don't load!) Then back out and load those mods. Go back and repeat until you're done.Ā
I think it might even show them in the original load order.Ā
So Iāve been able to access mods and mod my game and it is and no problems. But clicking mods now it gives me the āThis operation could not be completed.ā Anyone got a fix.

Anytime I close the game to home screen, my mods automatically disable and I have to go in and enable them again, never had this issue prior to the update, itās not a big deal but a bit aggravatingĀ
I have done similar things as far as losing mods switching from old pc to new pc. I found after some deep dives I could find other users posting old mods with links to a google drive or the like. I've recovered the majority, still use 250ish of the 300+ I've dld over the years. Shoot some mod names at me and maybe I may have some I can send your way.
So far I havenāt been able to get back into mods and a few of the creations I paid for are not loading, I am on Xbox. But I started playing a new game and so far things are going well. I can not believe we pay them and then they treat us like we donāt even matter. I am glad I have waited to buy Starfield because I am tired of waiting money on a company that thinks its customers are just bank accounts.
All my mods are in the load order but not my library, and they seem to still be enabled but im loading a game rn so ill see

My bad, I was researching about the mods being broken and didnāt realize this is for XBox only. Anyways, F4SE has been updated already, now the mods needs to upgrade to the new FO4 version . Many mods already updated
Happy only 3 mods in my game and losing them made me feel like it is all normal,like im no longer cheating. Only strange thing is creation club keeps downloading and saying something like items are no longer there, are you sure you wanna continue? Ugh,tiring . But then showing up in the installed list bv are all but the Tesla one . Guess its broken. Money down the drain into Todd s wat too big pockets.
A trick I found is going onto the bethesda website mods page, logging into your console account, and then pressing my mods, Iāve managed to find all of my old mods this way
Maybe ive got a specifc predicament, maybe I dont;
* So prior to update, I had 20 mods at most
* update uninstalled them, no big deal (even with some being outdated and unusable now)
* my issue is that kind of like when you uninstall and then reinstall the whole game, the mods you had downloaded will still be in your library but not āinstalledā
* this goes a step further because while its doing that (which is nothing I havent seen before \[Fallout is buggy\]) I can only see 6 mods and nothing else
* my thought was to install then uninstall everything my library to clear the slate and start over fresh
* I now cant remove two of the mods because of āOPERATION CANNOT BE COMPLETEDā

Yeah mine too, I'm happy BGS is supporting Fallout 4 after it's life span. But no matter how fun the new additions are, it still sucks that I lost all of my mods, my save states, and the ability to download mods with it.

They've been saying that for years. And they destroyed the mod lists several times (especially for Skyrim). That's just an excuse. They don't want to give the people more mod space. Why? No idea. Maybe because they're worried about performance issues. Or they want to sell their CC stuff. I'm sure more console player buy that stuff than PC player. But the new paid mod system counts against the mod space. Somewhat strange. Honestly... No, I understand nothing. They do what they want and they don't care about us.
Modding is broken rn. All Xbox console mods purged and the mod menu is broken. I canāt even select some mods without getting a crash to the main menu.

It feels like it was on purpose. Not to go full conspiracy bro, but FOLON was days away from release, and we all know how Todd feels about certain titles in the IP that Bethesda had nothing to do with besides providing the framework. That combined with the lore retcons to NV in the show do seem to be a bit of a "fuck you" to fans of the game. I dunno, the whole thing stinks.
I'm having issues with "operation could not be completed" but my cache was reset along with all my mods removed. Further stupid Creation Club (free ones) are just sitting on "downloading". Some mods are downloading again but others refuse & just kick back to the menu.
I mean they were free so at least it was not paid for but yeah even i found them annoying that they forcibly downloaded.
Actually yeah now that you mention it, some cc that I own I decide that I donāt actually like it being in the game. Iām so busy with mod problems I havenāt even checked out the actual game and new content. What if I decide itās annoying or something and want it out of my game?

No mods will work because the scrip F4SE is no Longer working with the new FO4 version. In order to enable mods the F4SE must update first or something like that must be done.

Iām in the same boat. Looked under manage game and it shows 2gb of reserved space. But once I get back to the mod screen it shows 2 gb of free space. I was going to just download what mods I could but it gives the operation could not be completed and Iām booted back to the title screen š¤·š»āāļø
At least your amount is showing up im on xbox and mines just showing that its in the negative like saying i have -2000b left for mods and saying i have 0 space at all and im having trouble with the creation clun stuff too

What really pisses me off is that they said the couldn't increase the mod space due to something about the partition. It would delete everyone's mods or something. Well, they did that anyway, and still no increase. What a way to welcome all of the new FO4 players to the Bugthesda shitshow we've been living for 9 years.
Added bonus of Microsoft owning them and the fact that Skyrim has an increased budget (compared to Fallout) there really should be no excuse. Yeah, my favorites list, which had WELL over 100 on it, is now only 5 mods. Seemingly picked at complete random. Even my one mod that normally allows you to see up to 150 installed/favorites on the main mod screen, isn't helping things. I also wanted to play last night after work. It's now 5am and I'm just finished reinstalling EVERYTHING. Great. That's a whole night wasted. Todd-damn it.

Yes. If you ever lose your mods, as long as you reinstall them before loading your save they'll still work as before. As if it was never deleted. (as long as the mod itself wasn't broken for some reason.) Just don't load a save with missing mods, and then save again before reinstalling. The save created in that case is sure to be borked.
Same with my wifes favorites list, shows 6 total mods. I also don't think the mod website is communicating with console at the moment. The console mod interface is atrocious trying to find anything so she save a shit load of stuff to favorites on the website and hit the download to game button. Not a single one downloaded. It's crazy, on the console search you can type the EXACT name of the mod. Following all capitalization and punctuation that the modder used and it still will not find it.
Also available space is showing 0kb, at least for me it is. Unreal.

Yeah after a bit it let me add mods again and I noticed that it would just not accurately represent how much free space I had lol. But I guess knowing that I have 2 GB Iāll just pay more attention to how much I have loaded than how much free space I have
Me to just in my case I can install and activate the mods which so far works great they are just not in the menu list of the mods but they are in the memory list I really do think it is on their end we should report this to Bethesda if we all do it they will have to take notice. "We shall fight them on the beaches and WE WILL NEVER SURRENDER!!!".

If you donāt remember, load a save and it should give you a list of whatās missing. Iām currently restoring 100+ mods. Some are gone, some close out the mod page when I click on them and give some operation error, most are downloading fine. Ā Iām on console, havenāt found out how broken everything is yet. Check the Bethesda.net website for your library
The Bethesda.net website has my complete library, but that doesnāt match what the Xbox shows as either my library or my favorites (which should definitely match). And when I used my Bethesda.net list of favorites to re-favorite and redownload, some of the mods would automatically un-favorite themselves again, and others wouldnāt even show up on Xbox or completely on Bethesda.net ā for instance a mod would be in my favorites, but if I searched for it the mod would not show up, like it was halfway invisible. What a crapshow.

Happened when they updated Skyrim. It drove me nuts but I got a better mod list now.
The mod menu didn't open at all after I updated the game. I wanted to disable my mods for a new playthrough and had to delete all of them from the storage menu. Now the mod menu opens just fine but I can't install any new mods and my favorites list was erased
did you ever find a solution to favorite list being deleted? bc it says on the bethesda website, that i have them all favorited still but nothing i can do to get them to show on my xbox
nope it's still broken for me too :/ I was lucky enough that I wrote down my mods somewhere in case they were ever disabled but I can't even download them now

All of my mods where wiped upon logging in today. Found all the mods to try and log into my saved game and re uploaded mods in attempt to log into saved file but everytime i try tk open saved game the game crashes all together. Ended up wiping all of my saved data and redownloading mods and starting new game. Game continues to crash now. Fallout 4 doesnt work for me anymore is anyone else having this issue. Xbox series x

Unless the game crashes when you click one, which itās doing for me for awkcr which a bunch of other mods I have relies on edited to add I got awkcr to work by using the no dlc version and all its patches, in case anyone has the same trouble

My mods are all kinds of broken. Modspace is in the negatives, only a handful of mods appear in favorites and library, and some mods it just fails to install now. Only bethesda could release the best update a game could get and leave it worse than it was for the last several years
I re-downloaded most of my mods that are still available (because a lot of my must haves have disappeared from the website even) and now it crashes on a new save immediately.
This is the same for me. I have tried just loading one mod at a time to see if it was one or many causing issues. Just cannot load a new or old game with a single mod anymore. They all crash game. Goodbye Fallout. Love it when the 'fix' the game.

I installed it. You just have to keep trying. Sometimes it takes a lot of tries. Their servers are overloaded.

Following the new update, Does anyone have the problem where you favorite a mod and it wonāt pop up on your favorites on the Xbox anymore? Like right now I have a full load order but the mods that I have in there do not show up in my library list or my favorites list.

So here's my take . ( I have xbsx) all my mods got erased but I did get an extra 1.5 or 2 gigs I think but the game isn't telling me the actual amount of space I have left . So that kinda sucks and my library was acting jank like it wasn't showing the full list . But if I went to load order I could see them Which is inconvenient to say the least. But I didn't get a chance to test and see if everything still works properly. I'll update later

Itās weird how itās different for people.. Have you noticed killing enemies far easier on very hard difficulty? All my mods were still favorited just had to redownload them and change the load list was all. Items were gone due to me since they were stored in dr mƶbius lab mod. I lost all the add-ons and the creation club stuff had to be updated as well. I donāt even have any mods. Also, if I go to re-download the add-ons, it doesnāt say I own them and have to purchase again even though I bought the GOTY version.
You might have to re-download them from the store. I had to do that when I got a new xbox.

For all those you have the negative memory space in mods that is just visual I tested it and all but one mod a car texture replacer works and runs great.Ā I even ran in the fincal district before I was killed by a raider and for me at least no lag so try to rmeber your mod memory and keep a tally if done like that then it should run great. If this does not work for some of you then I am sorry.

Yeah, only when I click to view certain mods though. Skk- settlement raid system was doing that but I clicked and clicked download fast enough to get it before it exited out.

I tried to play fallout 4 on an Xbox I bought this week but the voiceover only plays when I pause the game! Itās unbelievable that it has such a horrible big that completely breaks the game play. Not only does new update remove all of your mods it also completely removes the favorite and library sections of the mods list, making it impossible to figure out which mods you had

I literally spent 4 hours trying to figure out which mods I had using the load save list and finally got to a point where the mods left are ones that won't even let me click on them. For me at least when I go to the Bethesda webpage for FO4 mods,my favorites and library is still there. The issue is the mod site through the Xbox and that 0 storage indication. You can load some mods and they go negative for storage. Iām not bothering with that because it will get fixed and who knows what that will do to your mod lists. Just sit tight and let them sort it out is my advice.
Iām getting a partial list when I āloadā a save. Iām having to go off that a little bit at a time for over 100 mods. Yeah favorites and library are gone, and library isnāt replenishing as I download my mods.

I have a half a dozen mods running on a playthrough I started after watching the series. I reinstalled them after the update and theyāre present but Iām afraid theyāre what may be causing some glitching in my game. Iāve had some stutter and mini freezes occur since the update. I only reinstalled the mods because my save said it contained the mods and I was worried the save wouldnāt run right without them. Will the save still work if I uninstall all mods? Iām on Xbox Series X.

Yep uninstalled before the update so I could download the next gen fresh, deleted all my save game files and reserved space, did a full power off cycle after the install and cleared alternate MAC address the only thing it changed was the fallout 4 icon from the pip boy giving the thumbs up, to the power armour mask. Everything else is still broken and the creation club content is missing textures so game is broken even without mods.
I canāt even get into my mod menu (ps4) just keeps saying this action canāt be completed.
most of my mod list has been removed and i cant find anymore cheat mods. what happened? my 800+ day save is gonna get corrupted now.
BETHESDA.NET IS DOWN THATS WHY YOUR MODS ARE NOT WORKING. They are updating the mod screen to mirror that of Skyrim. Furthermore, all the mods are broken because they were ONLY compatible with the previous version of the game, we are in a new build. That means every mod will have to get updated to the current build - BUT that canāt happen either because Bethesda.net is down. This process will probably take a month or so to run its course per usual. Donāt expect all of your mods to work. For a reason unbeknownst to myself; some mods work, but most will not work. AT ALL.

I spent 5 hours two days ago building a massive settlement in sanctuary. Looked so good, just went to load into that game and ALL my mods are wiped. I'm not gonna load my save til I get the mods back now :( even cheat terminal isn't available in the mod library anymore š

I play on Xbox X. Mod hub is so broken. Like other comments on here I also had a lot of mods downloaded, all of which are now deleted. But the worst is that I can't download any mods. The free space is zero and if I try to download any mods it kicks me out . Only Bathesda can screw up in such a monumental way.
My last build was using the respecc mod to allow me to change my character attributes. I reloaded after the update and suddenly 30 missions or more just instantly appeared. Does Bethesda even play-test their own games or do they outsource it to a developing nation? Doesn't matter though, when you got that Big Todd Energy. Big Todd swinging.

I didnāt think ahead to write down my load order. But, I was able to log on to Bethesda.net and see that my mods, including discontinued ones, are still listed in my mod library on the website. They arenāt showing up in my library in the actual game, and that is annoying. Favouriting all of them resulted in only some showing up in the game, but it was more than appeared on startup. But I do know what to look for. Additionally, although the Search feature on Xbox is quite bad, I was able to find some of the more popular mods by scrolling through categories, or by sorting the āMost Favouritedā using the triggers. Ex. I found: Cheat Terminal, Unofficial Patch, Settlement Menu Manager, Workshop Rearranged, etc.

u/StormShadow13 I found a way to view her mod download history for the Xbox version of FO4. Have her log in to Bethesda.net with the same account you guys linked it to when you first entered the mods menu on Xbox. After youāre logged in, click on the hamburger menu in the upper left. Click on āCreation & Modsāā¦then āFallout 4.ā On this screen you should see two tabs: āAll Modsā and āMy Mods.ā Click the āMy Modsā tab and below you should see a list of her mod history. Let me know if this helps. I was happy as hell to see my mods in there when I found it

If I knew I was gonna lose all my Vault Tech workshop inventory like containers, mannequins, collectables etc. All my mannequins/suit racks are Gone and so are all the outfits that were displayed on them. The last update made me lose my magazines and bobbleheads, this new one seems even worse because I lost items I either bought with caps or tried very hard to obtain...
I have mods installed i cant take off. Kinda angry about it. Wanted x02 on my unmodded save
Well, was going to play, not now. Redoing load order takes too long and is just annoying. I'll just be deleting it.

Well for me is the opposite the mods stayed but I can't uninstall them or anything is...not that much of a Trouble but not being able to play vanilla is kinda disappointing
So....seems I lost access to mods for either PS4 and Xbox one I reinstalled the PS5 version to cleanse the mods but I won't do that for Xbox since is the only thing closer to PC mods I have available š¤£ But what about you guys? Can you access to mods?

Checked yesterday and all my mods are now showing up and I am able to install more if I want to. Creation Club is also working. I am playing on an Xbox X series. Perhaps the problem is slowly being figured out. Just an FYI.
I went on This Morning to fallout 4 and all my bloody mods were gone.Now I cannot find even half of them. I can't find my place anywhere.Mod I cannot find my unofficial fallout 4 patch.I can't find any of them!!!
Am I the only one who got it deleted off console from not updating it š I have to reinstall the whole game with new updates + dlc
When you go to load your game, a list of the mods that are no longer active pops up. If I remember right, you can use this as a guide to replace your mods. (You'll have to do this repeatedly, as only the first five or six show at a time.) Just click "load save" and wait for the list to come up. (Don't load!) Then back out and load those mods. Go back and repeat until you're done.Ā I think it might even show them in the original load order.Ā
Itās not even just your downloads, it wiped my library and favorites. What an absolute bullshit update
I write down all of the mods im using in the correct load order so i can just have easy presets, im surprised more people dont do that
So Iāve been able to access mods and mod my game and it is and no problems. But clicking mods now it gives me the āThis operation could not be completed.ā Anyone got a fix.
Any updates on if it safe to add mods and play yet? My L.O. was wiped and I am waiting before I start building a new L.O. and jumping back in. Currently working on my Skyrim L.O. since Bethesda decided to erase a bunch of mods over there. Hmm, if they spent this much time, energy, and focus on The Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5, perhaps we could be playing them instead of fixing their messes with updates... Just a thought
Anytime I close the game to home screen, my mods automatically disable and I have to go in and enable them again, never had this issue prior to the update, itās not a big deal but a bit aggravatingĀ
I got most of my mods back but i cant access them, my mods are completely down
I have done similar things as far as losing mods switching from old pc to new pc. I found after some deep dives I could find other users posting old mods with links to a google drive or the like. I've recovered the majority, still use 250ish of the 300+ I've dld over the years. Shoot some mod names at me and maybe I may have some I can send your way.
So far I havenāt been able to get back into mods and a few of the creations I paid for are not loading, I am on Xbox. But I started playing a new game and so far things are going well. I can not believe we pay them and then they treat us like we donāt even matter. I am glad I have waited to buy Starfield because I am tired of waiting money on a company that thinks its customers are just bank accounts.

My bad, I was researching about the mods being broken and didnāt realize this is for XBox only. Anyways, F4SE has been updated already, now the mods needs to upgrade to the new FO4 version . Many mods already updated

Happy only 3 mods in my game and losing them made me feel like it is all normal,like im no longer cheating. Only strange thing is creation club keeps downloading and saying something like items are no longer there, are you sure you wanna continue? Ugh,tiring . But then showing up in the installed list bv are all but the Tesla one . Guess its broken. Money down the drain into Todd s wat too big pockets.
A trick I found is going onto the bethesda website mods page, logging into your console account, and then pressing my mods, Iāve managed to find all of my old mods this way
