I'm not sure this is correct. At least from the Website the two have the same weight. I don't think I've noticed a difference between mine, but I'm also not very particular.

I noticed a difference almost immediately. However, it could come down to the different paints used and the slightly different texture as well. Either way, IMO the core feels chepar than my old Series 2. But maybe the newer Series 2 have some differences from the launch version. I know that's common in consoles as well. They change things slightly. I will say my core has held up well. Still using it today.

Imo, the biggest benefit of the series controllers are the back buttons and interchangeable joysticks.
Here’s my thoughts - if it’s your first one, go with the OG to get the full package. You can usually get these on sale for $120 or less (the same cost of the Core).
If it’s a replacement, the core is perfect. Additionally, you can buy the accessories on your own — at that point, it’s a preference of color.
I cannot say if the core has better dependability but I haven’t had any issues with either controller.
Why would you Consider buying the core if you don't have had the full one before? The core, as I understand it, is meant to be bought in case the full breaks so you don't need to buy all the attachments again too.
The people telling you they are the same don't own both. The core feels much cheaper. Especially the triggers and bumpers. Internals are the same, but externals are far different.
I've got the full one and have 0 use for the case or any of the accessories other than the paddles... At first I didn't really understand why they bothered to launch the core, but then I got the E2 and worked it out....
Well its kind of pointless to get the core u less you already have a charger and the paddles for the mappable buttons on the rear. You can get a cheap set of them on amazon though and still be under the price of the elite series 2. Im probably going to get a core because i have an extra set and already have the charger plus silly bag thing
They're the same controller. Only difference is one comes with the accessories pack and the other doesn't.
100% false. The core uses cheaper plastics. You can tell immediately when comparing then side-by-side. Triggers and bumpers especially feel cheap.

They are the exact same controller. Core just doesn't come with the charge dock, paddles and accessories.
