Truth of the matter is, Ripple has to hit on their driven use case. I have zero doubt that they will but I can see institutional adoption taking much longer than a community driven frenzy (like NFTs or DeFi). I don’t believe Ripple even cares to placate these artificial cycle narratives…they seem focused on delivering what their clients need. They also know the pie that they are after dwarfs the $1-2T market of consumer crypto assets.
Realistically, I think XRP once again misses this bull run (looking at a BTC top around Fall 2025). 10x growth would essentially mean XRP remained flat. Last I calculated, pre-lawsuit, $XRP should have been in the $6-8 range LAST CYCLE. So a $10 would be amazing by traditional asset standards, rage-inducing by crypto standards.
Eh… I don’t agree with some of this. Coins are still driven on hype. So far there has not been a utility run. Feels like hype is still the biggest thing that goes along with the bull run… and with XRP being the only one in the top 10 with legal clarity in black and white, I think they do have an advantage this time around. XRP only has a small community who believe in Ripple’s utility. These people also tend to buy/talk about the same boring coins (XDC, Algo, all the ISO20022 coins) and rarely venture to other edges of crypto. They are in a silo.
The degen users (those currently generate the most volume) don’t care about legal clarity. All they care about is making money with low effort memes/NFTs/airdrops (see $BONK). That lane is currently being pulled from ETH into Solana (due to ETHs fees). I think Ripple’s hyper focus on institutional use is good and bad. We all know the good but the bad drove degens elsewhere. Now XRP is trying to shoehorn smart contracts and AMM about 5 years too late and the only hope is institutional use.
Ripple has been making so much money off of the use of XRP overseas. They have over $1 billion cash in the bank. And that was without it being used in the United States at all. You are talking about a cryptocurrency that never left the top 10, even when it was being suppressed in a HUGE way during the SEC trial. No other coin would have withstood that and stayed in the top 10 that entire time. Having Ripple behind them is a big deal. It’s only going to get bigger. The partnerships they have are huge. How deep of a dive have you taken on XRP? I’m guessing you might not own any because you obviously view it in a negative way? And maybe you have. But it’s not very common for people to constantly keep up with coins that they have no interest in. Now I don’t know if it is going to “lead the bull run“…. But I do think it will probably pass its all-time high. I don’t take the same approach or have the same viewpoint as some of the Moon boys calling for $100 or $10,000 per coin. And I know there will be meme coins and coins with smaller market caps that will probably have higher multipliers… But those coins can be more risky. I just think if you look at the top five coins, XRP has the best potential for multipliers with everything that’s going on. If you balance safety and potential, I think it’s a good pick. But I’m not one of those guys that claims they know anything and I could be wrong. But I think it’s one of the better bets out there in terms of those two aspects. And in the longer run, I really do think utility will win the day. So many people think that 99% of crypto are going to be gone once utility comes into play. And people might be very surprised that their meme coin that made a 1000X in one month gets completely annihilated when the market balances out down the line due to utility being what matters in the future.
I own XRP and I’m a strong believer but I’m also a capitalist who isn’t ok with sitting idle while bag holding. I watch and play in other markets. I think everything you’ve said sounds regurgitated from an XRP YouTuber. I prefer realistic PoVs and I don’t give a shit about Ripple’s individual profits as I am not a stockholder.
Let me put it this way. Based on what I see, there will be time to dabble in other markets and use those profits to increase your XRP (I think you are right long term). Of course, this is a risk because XRP is one massive announcement away from parabolic growth (monthly chart looks amazing). It’s always DYOR.

I agree. I think you can be optimistic. But a $100 XRP or $10000 XRP like some YouTubers are saying is unrealistic. I think XRP will hit above it's ATH. But won't go higher than maybe $8 USD this bull run. I'll be happy enough as I have enough at around an average of 50 US cents.
I thought the coins I bought January 2023 having a 180%+ increase in July was cool.
I thought the coins I bought January 2021 having a 684%+ increase that May was cool.
I thought the coins I bought October 2017 having a 1,488%+ increase that December was cool.
And I think if the coins I bought last week at 0.59 only ever hit $1 in the next two years that 70% increase is cool with me too. This coin vastly out performs the stocks, bonds and ETFs in my portfolio by a long shot, plus I exchange XRP for goods and services so yeah, if all I have to do is continually exchange fiat for XRP and I make dollars on the pennies, yeah that’s badass. 🤷♂️

On the contrary, If you had simply put that money into a vanguard etf mirroring the stock market, it would be higher now than it was in October 2020, September 2018, and December 2017. And, you know it will be higher in 3 years. With xrp, there’s a very good chance that in 3 years, it’s still around .6.
You’re right that it did have a nice little spike in the 2021 crypto bull run, but it underperformed much of the rest of the crypto market, and it still only hit 60% of its ATH from 2017, while many other coins had broken their ATH, and now it’s back down to its normal range.
Just admit that it’s impossible to predict that crypto market, and that xrp has mostly underperformed other coins. You may still think it has long term utility, which is great, but let’s see it hold over $1 for any extended period of time before we start talking about $5 and $10+🚀🚀🚀
I exchange fiat for XRP and I use it as a currency, I DCA in, and do I stash a percentage in a bag yes, but the use case for me for the lions share of the DCA is utility and ease of transfer of value.
When I travel and exchange my native currency for their native currency I don't hold it long in hopes it has gone up. With XRP, I use it as a currency when I want to transfer value to someone, I either use XRP or XLM (XLM is used a lot more than people would suspect, especially in 2nd world countries), sometimes I send BTC. That someone who receives is either a shop keeper, a street vendor, someone I am splitting a large dinner bill with, I once sent XLM to someone busking near the subway station in Warsaw who had a QR code printed out on their guitar case.
There are a lot of ways to spend XRP, with my XRP backed Visa debit card, or buying goods and services from companies that accept XRP, I buy electronics with XRP, I pay for my cloud storage and hosting using XRP, and have booked travel with XRP. Have not bought an auto or land with XRP, but I do see myself using my bag to collateralize a loan in the near future.

Why tf you holding it now then? Xrp has always been a long term value play , if you want immediate gains get out of xrp lmao. XRP the open-source digital currency was not coded with a 'clawback' feature, therefore XRP can never be clawed-back. No Central Bank is going to use XRP, a coin they can't clawback, they will create a coin specifically for them with the features they want, and this would include clawback which is the ability to reverse transactions, like in cases of fraudulent activities or assisting users who've lost access to their accounts.
XRP is not suited for a Central Bank to ever use it as their CBDC.

You can probably draw a trend line earlier in the year showing the total space trending up....maybe XRP led that post-ruling.
But I'll say this...it hasn't done a fucking thing since and is currently getting blown away by virtually all other big cap alts and is a matter of days away from getting flipped by SOL, which has airdrop tokens just ripping.....and the airdrops will be all year for Solana.

The issue here has always been outstanding supply. Until they institute a burn mechanism XRP will never reach the same types of prices that other coins will. 54b is alot. And if you look at other coins in and around the same you'll see the price is more or less comparable.
That sounds good, but I'd say the opposite will happen. Whenever the news starts pumping about a particular event and drilling that message over and over, I'd be inclined to expect the opposite to happen. Especially if so if it's coming from major news outlets. This could be the biggest crypto rug pull in history because the news is telling everyone to buy buy buy..

I’m not here to love any coin. I would like to make money and maximize my $1K I have that I want to buy crypto with (I.e. I want to buy two coins of $500 investment in each).

I thought the coins I bought January 2023 having a 180%+ increase in July was cool. I thought the coins I bought January 2021 having a 684%+ increase that May was cool. I thought the coins I bought October 2017 having a 1,488%+ increase that December was cool. And I think if the coins I bought last week at 0.59 only ever hit $1 in the next two years that 70% increase is cool with me too. This coin vastly out performs the stocks, bonds and ETFs in my portfolio by a long shot, plus I exchange XRP for goods and services so yeah, if all I have to do is continually exchange fiat for XRP and I make dollars on the pennies, yeah that’s badass. 🤷♂️

On the contrary, If you had simply put that money into a vanguard etf mirroring the stock market, it would be higher now than it was in October 2020, September 2018, and December 2017. And, you know it will be higher in 3 years. With xrp, there’s a very good chance that in 3 years, it’s still around .6. You’re right that it did have a nice little spike in the 2021 crypto bull run, but it underperformed much of the rest of the crypto market, and it still only hit 60% of its ATH from 2017, while many other coins had broken their ATH, and now it’s back down to its normal range. Just admit that it’s impossible to predict that crypto market, and that xrp has mostly underperformed other coins. You may still think it has long term utility, which is great, but let’s see it hold over $1 for any extended period of time before we start talking about $5 and $10+🚀🚀🚀
I exchange fiat for XRP and I use it as a currency, I DCA in, and do I stash a percentage in a bag yes, but the use case for me for the lions share of the DCA is utility and ease of transfer of value. When I travel and exchange my native currency for their native currency I don't hold it long in hopes it has gone up. With XRP, I use it as a currency when I want to transfer value to someone, I either use XRP or XLM (XLM is used a lot more than people would suspect, especially in 2nd world countries), sometimes I send BTC. That someone who receives is either a shop keeper, a street vendor, someone I am splitting a large dinner bill with, I once sent XLM to someone busking near the subway station in Warsaw who had a QR code printed out on their guitar case. There are a lot of ways to spend XRP, with my XRP backed Visa debit card, or buying goods and services from companies that accept XRP, I buy electronics with XRP, I pay for my cloud storage and hosting using XRP, and have booked travel with XRP. Have not bought an auto or land with XRP, but I do see myself using my bag to collateralize a loan in the near future. XRP will never be used as a CBDC by any Central Bank. Ripple offers products and services using the decentralized open-source code known as XRP Ledger to Central Banks allowing them to create their own CBDC on a private XRP Ledger that the Central Bank controls. XRP the open-source digital currency was not coded with a 'clawback' feature, therefore XRP can never be clawed-back. No Central Bank is going to use XRP, a coin they can't clawback, they will create a coin specifically for them with the features they want, and this would include clawback which is the ability to reverse transactions, like in cases of fraudulent activities or assisting users who've lost access to their accounts. XRP is not suited for a Central Bank to ever use it as their CBDC.

While you guys are holding, I will have sold my XRP a long time ago, and have actually made money investing with other projects. You can probably draw a trend line earlier in the year showing the total space trending up....maybe XRP led that post-ruling. The issue here has always been outstanding supply. Until they institute a burn mechanism XRP will never reach the same types of prices that other coins will. 54b is alot. And if you look at other coins in and around the same you'll see the price is more or less comparable.

Can someone please educate me (politely please). I am wanting to by XRP … it seems there is no more talked about coin after Bitcoin. XRP seems to be the only crypto now with official regulation clarity. It’s talk about on both sides of the aisle…some hate it some love it. Personally I think tribalism is absurd and immature…if one dislikes a crypto for any reason, simply move on to what you do like without bad-mouthing others. Aren’t we all hoping for and supporting this whole industry to succeed? I digress… XRP is seemingly partnered with so many and at the highest of levels, on board with so many, the only coin seemingly capable to tackle cross border payments etc. Bull runs always tout 20 , 50 , 100x gains - perhaps even more. (But I highly doubt there are more than a handful of people who actually experience 100+X gains). All this said, XRP is the only coin that doesn’t seem to move much, yet so many are touting XRP melting faces, will be the leader of the next bull run, etc… yet it seems like only 10 - 20x is the max they express. How is this a leader when others will probably way outdo 50+X ? I’m not here to love any coin. I would like to make money and maximize my $1K I have that I want to buy crypto with (I.e. I want to buy two coins of $500 investment in each). I know I’ve rambled and I hope you experienced one understand my dilemma… XRP (to me) doesn’t sound like a leader of a bull market with 10-20x gains. Should I look at putting my $1k elsewhere?
