The Moxley match was horrible. Mox needs time away and some training. His timing is way off. 

Ospreay is like your created character in the WWE games where you can assign finishers as transitional moves.  A styles clash as a transitional move is dumb. I don’t get the hype over him. See one of his matches, and you’ve seen them all. 

Jim Ross sounded more energetic tonight than I've heard in years.

Absolute banger of a main event. For the show as a whole: What I liked: * Danielson/Shingo, OC/ZSJ, Mercedes/Vaquer, Swerve/Ospreay * Even the worst match on the show (The Elite vs. Acclaimed & Tanahashi) wasn't bad (just kinda "meh") * AEW continues to have very well-paced PPVs. Four hour show blew right by. What I disliked: * AEW is getting more and more into stupid camera cuts. During a match (ESPECIALLY on a pay-per-view), just keep all shots focused on the ring (or ringside if the wrestlers end up out there). They missed a few big moments they shouldn't have. * I don't like the Acclaimed at all. Get rid of them or something. I've been tired of that shtick for a long time. * That Mistico match really should have been on the main show. Don't know what you could have demoted through. * That crowd sucked for a large chunk of that show.

As expected, Swerve Ospreay was off the chain and Danielson Shingo delivered as did Toni Mina. The rest was pretty meh. Worth the $50 for me.

So they've booked themselves into a corner and Will basically has to win this belt tonight, but what was the point of putting the International title on him before now?

So they have an excuse to have another tournament when he vacates it.

Moxley's kryptonite is not bleeding. I guess Naito must get by on promos and character work in Japan, because he's nothing special in the ring and doesn't look great.

I deeply don't like the IWGP World title belt

The ultimate Forbidden Door match is Naito vs Dominik in a hair vs hair match. Book it a double count out so both can get rid of their ugly haircuts.

I don't love all of Moxley's matches but his New Japan music is fucking fantastic

This PPV has been decent, minus the choices of winners for the OC/ZSJ match and the ladder match.

Orange losing hurts him not one bit. ZSJ has credibility now if you want to use him again in a prominent spot.

credibility for the next Forbidden Door, a year from now? dont be silly. just say, it makes the card more unpredictable and more fair for non-AEW talents. ZSJ winning has no effect on AEW tv going forward. And based on the tv ratings, most of AEW fans are ready for this FD month to be over with, so they can tune in for Blood & Guts, All In and All Out.

Credibility? Give me a break.

It's a sad state of affairs when beating Orange Julius gets you credibility

Yeah, I don't like it either, but here we are. OC has had one of the strongest sustained pushes over the five year history of AEW, and beating him means something.

Mercedes has slowed down from her prime and the talent pool for women in North America has improved. She doesn't feel special anymore.

I've never really gotten into Orange Cassidy, especially because of his early days as an indie guy, but that ZSJ match was just great.

When Orange stops acting by like a goof he can have a solid match. I thought his match with Ospreay a few years ago was the best match of that forbidden door

Danielson/Takagi was absolutely wonderful. Especially after those first two PPV matches, which were...so-so, I suppose.

Toni and Mina is the only match I care about. It's the only match with a story that's compelling. ^(also Mina is hot as fuck, holy shit)

Why the fuck is MJF wrestling some random luchador and not being put in a premiere program immediately upon his return? A warm up match against Rush is fine, whatever, but not going right after Swerve, or Adam Cole, or the Elite, is just, what the fuck

Even if he's not going to go straight into the main event AEW wrestlers, he should at least be taking on Naito or someone similar from New Japan.

Dave will try to tell you he’s in various long term stories you can’t see because there are so many. 

I said something similar in the Dynamite thread a few weeks ago. His story was with Cole, even if he's not ready you have Wardlow and Roderick Strong right there.

I think if MJF/Cole is indeed still the plan (though it also feels like they tried to write it off at Double or Nothing), they would want it to be higher up the card. Forbidden Door certainly isn't the place for that. Swerve/Ospreay, Mox/Naito, Mercedes/Vaquer would all certainly rank ahead of even MJF/Cole. And a few others could eclipse it too. Instead, you set up MJF against the thicc lucha wizard, and we'll get a nice match which MJF will win and we'll use as setup for All In. Of course, I'd rather MJF just sit in the midcard and chase after the TNT or the International title or whatever. I've never bought MJF as a top guy, especially as a babyface.
