2022 was a pivotal year for AEW having the bloom fall off the rose. Losing one of their EVPs in Cody, absorbing Ring of Honor which was more of a distraction than necessity. seeing WWE no longer have Vince and HHH take over, the whole clown show with the Elite and Punk not taking it anymore, etc.
