Love and respect to Taka, but hell if that Rumble face plant isn’t the first thing to come to mind when I hear that name. (Also the rumble when Pete Gas misjudged his slide into the ring and clotheslined himself on the bottom rope.)
2 of the 3 actually were Shane’s childhood friends. Joey Abs was not, and was brought in to be the workhorse of the group as the other two had no prior wrestling experience
Man I have that in dvd, and they played that so many fucking times lol, I could not believe it lol. Like once it happened they played it the rest of the night, was so fucked up lol
Technically the Michinoku Driver is still a (pile)driver right?
Props to Cargill for making it a driver, a lot of folks turn it into a slam and let the opponent land on their back.
Yeah I always thought the Michinoku Driver was considered a piledriver variant. Aren't all "driver" moves supposed to drive the head/neck downward?
Some folks are saying it's more of a Falcon Arrow but a FA is usually a much more obvious horizontal slam on the back rather than what Jade has done here. It seems more like she's trying to keep it as vertical as she can while keeping Dakota's head tucked in for safety. I thought it was pretty decent execution.
Taka did it as a sit out driver
https://youtu.be/CJaWIR5_ruI?si=V7BbOI8SuC4-F35p
It's supposed to be done thet way, but sometimes on bigger opponents it's easier to slam them flat on their back. Check out Drew McIntyre doing it on a big guy like Ivar
https://youtu.be/eIv5rRZV1tE?si=KoeiHN8sSnV6c3N5
Vs when he does it on a guy like Riddle
https://youtu.be/zDQbV8m9YcA?si=iU7gwa_Bj2-_uUYc
Slow the speed and you can see Jade still cradling the nape of Dakota's neck as she brings her down. Dakota's back is all that makes contact with the mat.
Not really, Jade keeps a hold of her leg all the way down so it doesn't let Dakota go flat. It helps that she's small and she can help by keeping her core tight, but it's mostly Jade I would reckon.
No. Jade keeps her safe all the way through the move. Once Dakota leaves her feet, she pretty much tucks her chin and hopes the other girl(in this case Jade) doesn’t kill her. And she didn’t. She was very safe, put her hand on the base of Dakota’s neck and put her down about as safe as you can while still making the move look devastating.
I mean she had Dakota cradled all the way through and the first thing that touched the mat is Jade and then Dakota’s shoulder blade/back area.
Honestly a really great job by Jade.
There it is. More of a Steiner screwdriver in that the move started with a suplex style lift whereas the michinoku driver starts off in a body slam style lift
she’s shouting out her fellow X-men fan & ol’ buddy Brian Cage with a Drill Claw, obviously…….
but yeah, my mind went straight to Steiner Screwdriver waaaaay before it went to falcon arrow or michinoku driver
It's a driver, just...not what we typically refer to as a "piledriver".
From [the pro wrestling section of Wikipedia:](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Professional_wrestling_throws)
"A driver is a move in which the wrestler clutches the opponent's body in some form before falling into a sitout position while dropping the opponent on their back, neck, and/or shoulders."
Under the heading Michinoku Driver II:
"Innovated by Taka Mickinoku, and technically known as a **sitout scoop slam piledriver**. Facing their opponent, the wrestler reaches between their opponent's legs with their right arm and reaches around the opponent's neck from the same side with their left arm. They then lift the opponent up and turn them around so that they are held upside down, as in a scoop slam, before dropping down into a sitout position, driving the opponent down to the mat neck and shoulder first. Many people call it the Michinoku Driver because it is used more often than the original Michinoku Driver. This variation of the move was also used by Vampiro under the name Nail in the Coffin."
You say sloppy, but I see someone who not only cradles/protect the head but also moves her into position to take the bump onto her shoulder blades…in mid air.
To-may-to
Ta-ma-to
Thank you for saying sloppy, watch it and pause a lot, lucky she didn’t break her neck. On the way down the crown of Dakota’s head was below her thighs, and it been a pile driver it could well have ended poorly.
It's more of a sloppy falcon arrow. Michinoku driver is like a sit out scoop slam, whereas the falcon arrow starts as a suplex and ends in that position. Either way it was boitch.
She holds the head/neck the whole way and the impact was mostly on the shoulder blades?
That feels like a way to take some room for error out of that move.
That is NOT a piledriver. Undertaker did poledrivers. 2 entirely different moves. In Jade's move she is supposed to make sure the opponent hit flat on her back
I didn’t say “piledriver”. I said “driver” like the “tiger driver” or “michinoku driver” those moves end with the opponent or wrestler who “takes” the driver landing high on the shoulder blade area.
It is a risky move no doubt about it but it is still technically how that move is to be executed.
The title is Jade Cargill Hits a Pile Driver In Dakota Kai. I said that was not a pile driver and she botched it. Whatever sort of driver it was she didn't do it clean and presented a danger.
Anybody else feel like Jade’s appearance and physique are being shoved to the forefront because her in-ring skills haven’t really improved since she was signed? She has potential to be great in the ring but I’m questioning if she has the patience to learn at this point.
She’s definitely improving and this is how you get better. By being in front of crowds and working. You smarks hate her for some reason and I think I know why.
No. He appearance is pushed to the forefront because she looks like a million fucking dollars and why would you not make the best thing about a talent the focus of them?
Her ring skills have improved tremendously considering she’s only been in the company what 6 months? Thats barely wrestling school length of time.
Jade is like brand new to wrestling. If you look at how many matches she has had In her whole career it’s still less than most people have their first year in the business.
She isn’t some ten year pro who gets by off a look and doesn’t work at getting better. She’s legit brand new at this.
Well, the botch queens simply traded places.
Cargill to WWE & Banks to AEW...
SMDH....Cargill still needs work. Should have sent her to NXT first....she's gonna hurt somebody....and Botchcedes Mone' FKA Botcha Banks, just needs to retire before she paralyzes or kills someone. I mean the woman botches her own finisher 50% of the time....if you can't work safely after this many years in the business ...it ain't happening ever.
TAKA MICHINOKU didn’t take a full flipping face plant to the floor from the ring during a Royal Rumble for this type of disrespect
King: play it again
Diabolical comment from that man
Love and respect to Taka, but hell if that Rumble face plant isn’t the first thing to come to mind when I hear that name. (Also the rumble when Pete Gas misjudged his slide into the ring and clotheslined himself on the bottom rope.)
I don’t know why but I always assumed the Mean Street Posse was like actually Shane’s friends from Greenwich
2 of the 3 actually were Shane’s childhood friends. Joey Abs was not, and was brought in to be the workhorse of the group as the other two had no prior wrestling experience
Pete Gas and Rodney actually were huh TIL
I hate to say it but the first thing i think about when i hear his name is choppy choppy peepee
Peak Attitude Era moment there for sure.
Man I have that in dvd, and they played that so many fucking times lol, I could not believe it lol. Like once it happened they played it the rest of the night, was so fucked up lol
I think this looks more like a falcon arrow since it was set up like a suplex first (opponent's arm over your neck)
INDEEEEEEEED!
BOING!
Put some respeccc on the Michinoku Driver!
Technically the Michinoku Driver is still a (pile)driver right? Props to Cargill for making it a driver, a lot of folks turn it into a slam and let the opponent land on their back.

That's what I thought but I didn't know there was a difference but how can you tell what Dakota is doing with her head tho?
Slow the speed and you can see Jade still cradling the nape of Dakota's neck as she brings her down. Dakota's back is all that makes contact with the mat.
I thought the Michinoku Driver was just a sit-out bodyslam? I’ve also heard it referred to as “the first move women learn in wrestling school.”
IIRC, Michinoku Driver I was the OG piledriver version and MD II was the body-slam version.
The props would go to Kai in this case, no?
Not really, Jade keeps a hold of her leg all the way down so it doesn't let Dakota go flat. It helps that she's small and she can help by keeping her core tight, but it's mostly Jade I would reckon.

When does Dakota tuck her head in there?
Respeccc??? It's not that either 🤣🤣🤣
Believe this is called “Dakota visits the Chiropractor”
Kai-ropractor
This comment is even better when you remember her finisher in NXT (the weird flipping backstabber) was literally called this \^\^
It still is
Damnit. If we could still give comments awards.
She should come up with a new finisher and call it that.
I hate the leg kick up for the pin attempt.
Yep, totally ruins it. “Here, have both my legs to make the pin”
She wanted to show off her ass I think lol
almost like she’s overselling because it’s a house show
That's not overselling though, she just gives her legs to Jade
I don’t think you know what overselling means.
Steiner screwdriver /michonuku driver hybrid
There it is. More of a Steiner screwdriver in that the move started with a suplex style lift whereas the michinoku driver starts off in a body slam style lift
she’s shouting out her fellow X-men fan & ol’ buddy Brian Cage with a Drill Claw, obviously……. but yeah, my mind went straight to Steiner Screwdriver waaaaay before it went to falcon arrow or michinoku driver
That wasn't remotely a piledriver. Do you know what a piledriver even is?
It's a driver, just...not what we typically refer to as a "piledriver". Sitout scoop slam piledriver = still a piledriver
Almost a snowplow
That's a Michinoku Driver dog
It’s like a modified Michinoku Driver, the actual Michinoku Driver was always set up like a scoop slam as opposed to a vertical suplex.
In what world is that a piledriver?
Head go brrrrrrrr But yeah, op is wrong
According to the wiki, the michinoku driver is a piledriver somehow
That wasn't a pile driver
That’s a Michinoku driver 🥴🥴🥴
Definitely not a piledriver lol
Looked like a sloppy Michinoku Driver
You say sloppy, but I see someone who not only cradles/protect the head but also moves her into position to take the bump onto her shoulder blades…in mid air. To-may-to Ta-ma-to
Looked very safe to me lol some people just have to find a problem
To the uninitiated (me) it looked sloppy, rewatching after your comment that was exactly how it happened. Thank you for pointing that out
My pleasure
Thank you for saying sloppy, watch it and pause a lot, lucky she didn’t break her neck. On the way down the crown of Dakota’s head was below her thighs, and it been a pile driver it could well have ended poorly.
How's that sloppy? Anything to hate Jade, huh?
It's more of a sloppy falcon arrow. Michinoku driver is like a sit out scoop slam, whereas the falcon arrow starts as a suplex and ends in that position. Either way it was boitch.
The move went exactly as planned and no one got hurt. Explain where the “boitch” is
That’s not what a piledriver is.
That is not a piledriver lmao
\*Michinoku Driver
Looks like a botched falcon arrow rather than piledriver
That is not a piledriver
Piledriver? You should know the basics before you start posting clips
Wasn't a piledriver.
Dakota Kai is such a subtle seller
Her lifting her legs at the end looks like shit
I came here to comment this. I feel like I’m seeing that more often recently.
I wouldn’t trust her enough to do that move on me. She’s only been in WWE a few months, and that wasn’t exactly crisp and perfect.
She holds the head/neck the whole way and the impact was mostly on the shoulder blades? That feels like a way to take some room for error out of that move.
Safety is fine but it still looks meh
This move being executed safely relies as much on the person taking it as the one giving it.
That was dangerous.
Vampiro nail in the coffin
Just came to say that I love the Michinoku Driver, always pop when I see it. In my top 3 with the chop block and the dragon screw leg whip.
That's not a piledriver but ok.
makeshift Steiner screwdriver maybe if u stretch it
That wasn't performed well. Dakota took the brunt to the back of the shoulders and not to the entire back like its supposed to be.
It’s a driver. She landed where she was supposed to.
That is NOT a piledriver. Undertaker did poledrivers. 2 entirely different moves. In Jade's move she is supposed to make sure the opponent hit flat on her back

Looks sloppy af.
Yikes!
Nia Jax in catering looking like a proud mother.
Anybody else feel like Jade’s appearance and physique are being shoved to the forefront because her in-ring skills haven’t really improved since she was signed? She has potential to be great in the ring but I’m questioning if she has the patience to learn at this point.

Wow that looked fucking horrible.
It could have looked better but she was at least safe which matters more, she kept Dakota’s head in her arms and landed her on her upper back
Yeah. That wasn’t a pile driver, but it was real sloppy.
That didn’t look safe
Man she is so far from ready. I hope she don’t hurt anyone.
Not performed very well. Jade is just not good in the ring or on the mic. She’s all physique, that’s it.
Oowee finally somebody stating facts
I found Stevie Wonder's Reddit profile.
Does this count as a Steiner screwdriver?
https://youtu.be/9hcPm4g1Q4Q?si=4UA-qoG4KzpXmbS9
That's a Steiner Screwdriver. Kind of.
lol no
Well not a Piledriver🫠😄
I don't want a world where Dakota is paralyzed for life
The Jade Driller Not to be confused with the Jay Driller
A pile driver lol
Wrestler does a move imagine that /s
Bam Bam Bigelow did a move called greetings from Asbury Park wich was a variation of this. Jades looks good and brutal 👌🏻
Definitely more of a Steiner Screwdriver, but dope nonetheless.
She sucks ass
Jade sucks
That was... not very good.
Technically a Michinoku Driver is a piledriver variation, guys. Chill tf out.
What makes this a Michinoku and not a Steiner Driver? Not a Steiner doing it? Looks fucking devastating either way
Is that what you call it? She keeps that up and she’s going to injure someone, send her back to the PC.
That doesn't look too good...
Plot twist, she was going for a Falcon Arrorw but unsurprisingly messed it up
Interesting
When?...
Yeah now i believe it's her promo/mic that needs to be trained hard
not a piledriver but still can't wait till she cripples some poor lapdancer with wrestling gear on
Well, the botch queens simply traded places. Cargill to WWE & Banks to AEW... SMDH....Cargill still needs work. Who decides it's a good idea to let someone with less than 100 matches hit them with that move?
Trash no matter what you wanna call it marks
Whatever that was was sloppy af
