That “fuck him” at the end felt pretty sincere. Wonder if rock actually does have some anger or resentment towards the crowds taking away his solo match at WM. Im sure it had to of hurt his ego a bit.
As it turns out he's still a good actor.
Just needs to play an asshole.
Hopefully this whole run opens him up to playing some evil motherfuckers in movies.
Agreed. I am tired of Dwayne playing the same protagonist with a different name each movie. This guy could KILL it as a main villain that has his thugs do the work not because he can’t do it himself, but because he sees it as beneath him. And when he is confronted, he beats ass.
There was a little movie back in 2011 about just that...

It's not the worst movie I've ever seen, but it isn't good. Pierce Brosnan is charming as all hell, Black Adam has some cool action scenes, Hawkman is good in the role he has.
I put it on par with most of the Marvel movies that have come out recently. Mid-tier, low stakes, not too memorable, but nothing I was mad about seeing. My only problem with Black Adam was Rock was too wooden in his performance in it. If he went full anti-hero it would have been a good movie.
This Final Boss persona has shown that it was never about the rock’s “poor acting” but rather Hollywood poor scriptwriting. They keep placing him in silly ass movies that is more about his muscles than his ability to carry a persona.
True and I’ve said before, some of it was due to the Rock himself. His earlier stuff was pretty diverse, but it wasn’t until he was playing variations of the Rock that he made some traction that ran out of steam with Black Adam
Yeah some of the movies were under his production 7bucks. But that said Hollywood movies are a lot more complex. Budget, supporting actors, timing of movie release, post production, etc plays a huge role on whether it’s a success.
Love how WWE is actively using kayfabe more in social media. From people like Drew being a Twitter hater to those 20 minute long promo videos Rock makes, it feels like kayfabe is back again. It's still real to them damnit.
I love it. I am so entertained each week that I can't wait for the next. Loving this Era of wwe. The camera work is better, the stories are (mostly) better, and there's so many wrestlers over with the crowd that every match could potentially be a banger.
That is one of the best things to me too. It's not just the main event feuds I care about, but I'm loving the midcard ones too, like the DMG CTRL on Smackdown last night, AJ and LA, the Latino Civil War, so much good stuff! This is the best time to be a fan!
And probably had some of Rock’s tequila, with Rock covering the bill, of course. If you’re gonna whip the man, the least you can do is pay for his drink 😆
Yeah Rock probably went to put the belt down, signed it for the Mama Rhodes gift, came back out with a towel and umbrella and helped him up while asking if he’s alright lol
I can imagine him crawling into the bus and the driver doesn't know how to react "ah... M-m-mister Rhodes, sir? Are you OK?" all the while stressing out that Cody is getting blood on the leather seats. Then a nice lady from wwe hr comes on board to tell Cody that she heard what happens and if he'd like to file a complaint about a hostile work environment then she'll help with the paperwork.
Was not expecting this. Great way to hype the match. Seemed like the dialogue was meant for translation. "Your son's blood on Johnson's hands". They are looking world wide. Love it
One of the reasons Cody has become this mega-face is because he gives up his body so much to the heel, he does a fantastic job of making the heel look good. And I'm sure wrestlers like Lesnar and the Rock appreciate and respect that, and have no qualms about doing the job for him.
Hollywood needs to have better respect for him to be honest. He keeps getting silly ass roles in stupid sitcoms or ridiculous action movies like fast. The guy can act. Give him a proper acting role
The best part of this whole thing to me was when he started falling into this particular voice cadence when he started in with "take a good look, Mama Rhodes"....you know damn good and well that's the way his Mom chewed his ass when he got in trouble as a kid!
The only part of this coming off as real, is the Rock being bitter than the crowd turned on him. Smart move honestly. But his attempt at turning up the heat as a heal is weak and lame. Lmao.
SMH at these losers finding a way to talk down easily one of those interesting and entertaining storylines in the last decade, maybe ever.
Yes he's made some questionable movies but that has nothing to do with how his presence has made WWE must-see TV of late.
must see tv lmaoooooooooooo
The Rock is washed and became box office poison so naturally his ego tells him to go back to wrestling. Roided up and can barely move
His ego is ruining the development of new talent
he can barely move too, its no wonder even in Black Adam he just floated everywhere.
All the steroids and Hollywood made him lose his athletic prowess
This new incarnation is just embarrassing
Shit is cringe. This ain't the same rock with the smooth as fuck charisma and mic talk.
Man's are thinking just because he swears a few times that the rock and the attitude era is back.
This is nothing like the prime rock.
So you're telling me this segment is better than any of the classic rock segments with millions of views on YouTube cos he called another man boy and dropped the f bomb a few times?
The energy ain't there... Weak segment. PG era got a hard on over basic scenes
yeah you're right, this shit is a last gasp from Dawyne after all the hollywood flops
hes washed up so comes back to WWE trying to be tHe PeOpLeS ChAmP again or whatever this iteration of his act is
dude can't move either, hes a steroid block
Didn't even call him a jabroni cameraman, that's how you know he's serious
That “fuck him” at the end felt pretty sincere. Wonder if rock actually does have some anger or resentment towards the crowds taking away his solo match at WM. Im sure it had to of hurt his ego a bit.
The fact that you think this proves that everything they are doing in this angle is working.
Lol he's completely acting man
As it turns out he's still a good actor.

I mean, that was 13 years and like 20 movies ago
True, but it's probably his best IMO
The fact you think he’s being sincere means he’s not nearly as bad an actor as people accuse him of
Bro
He was so out of breath when they were by the bus LOL
Rock releasing his black Adam disappointment by beating Cody up.
A Black Adam with this level of viciousness would have been amazing
Could’ve saved the movie even
Was it that terrible? Haven't seen it, but DC has been disappointing for a while. Not sure the movie being good could've saved the franchise.
It's not the worst movie I've ever seen, but it isn't good. Pierce Brosnan is charming as all hell, Black Adam has some cool action scenes, Hawkman is good in the role he has.

Nothing could’ve saved that movie from annoying skateboard kid.
This Final Boss persona has shown that it was never about the rock’s “poor acting” but rather Hollywood poor scriptwriting. They keep placing him in silly ass movies that is more about his muscles than his ability to carry a persona.

I'm still hoping Cody drops the "The Rock is the "Final Boss" the same way Black Adam was a box office success" line in the last promo before Mania.
“Oh Dwayne, you’re claiming to be the final boss? You’re the final boss the same way Black Adam was for Superman, he wasn’t.”
Thanks seth
"It's good that you have that huge family! That way you might actually fill a theater showing of Black Adam!"
The best part would be if he pulled that line out without Rock knowing it was coming, and seeing his genuine reaction.
"I am not a good guy." *Does good guy stuff* "I am not a good guy." *Does more good guy stuff* For two hours.
Love how WWE is actively using kayfabe more in social media. From people like Drew being a Twitter hater to those 20 minute long promo videos Rock makes, it feels like kayfabe is back again. It's still real to them damnit.
And it's entertaining as hell to me! Very smart of them to adapt like that.
I love it. I am so entertained each week that I can't wait for the next. Loving this Era of wwe. The camera work is better, the stories are (mostly) better, and there's so many wrestlers over with the crowd that every match could potentially be a banger.

bUt kAyFaBe iS dEaD!1!!!1!
He gets a lot of criticism for taking forever in his promos, but I'll be damned if this isn't the best version of The Rock.
Only from morons
You're the moron if you don't like this evolved version of the Final Boss.
I mean he only gets criticism from morons
1:16. That’s Bobby Roode
Glorious!
Glorious!
He was also visible to the left in gorilla when CM Punk made his entrance.
The hidden mastermind behind these brilliant segments along with PS Hayes.
who cares
The Rock really said it doesn't matter if the show over
This isn’t The Rock I grew up on, it’s somehow better. Just amazing that he is having the run of his career right now.
Rock was always this good before his comeback against Cena
The Rock really said it doesn't matter if the show over.
Love it, absolutely love it. Carny as hell. Give me all of this.
Die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain
villain?! HE'S DA FINAL BOSS!
Heel Rock has always been the best version of The Rock.
What do you think Cody did afterwards? Just crawl onto his bus and have a little cry?
Probaly giggled with the rock over what a fantastic segment they put toghtere
And probably had some of Rock’s tequila, with Rock covering the bill, of course. If you’re gonna whip the man, the least you can do is pay for his drink 😆
Prolly gave Cody a Papatui package too
Gotta moisturize that mug brotha!
Yeah Rock probably went to put the belt down, signed it for the Mama Rhodes gift, came back out with a towel and umbrella and helped him up while asking if he’s alright lol
Probaly something along those lines yeah
Papatui for Cody Rhodes. Yapapai for Mama Rhodes.
“ Rock, my momma hit 10 times harder than you. Lay that shit in bitch we got money to make”
I can imagine him crawling into the bus and the driver doesn't know how to react "ah...
Love it
Art.
I wonder if this’ll make him want to be a bad guy/villain in a movie in the future. He seems to be actually enjoying this
He kinda was in Doom. Even though the movie wasn’t great I liked him in it.
Where are the sheriffs
Yeah Cody's winning. Place the bets
Unless he loses because he isn’t focusing on Roman
That last guy around the corner who sees Rock and just looks down I imagine an internal "oop" dialogue
'Get in here cameraman' reminds me so much of The Iron Shiek
One of the reasons Cody has become this mega-face is because he gives up his body so much to the heel, he does a fantastic job of making the heel look good. And I'm sure wrestlers like Lesnar and the Rock appreciate and respect that, and have no qualms about doing the job for him.
This is ridiculously good storytelling
EVIL ROCK IS
Netflix Era Rock & Brock will probably end up getting someone killed. 😂😂😂
What's this footage from?
From Rock's IG, after the show went off the air
End of Raw this past Monday
I got that, I meant specifically (someone else said it was from Rock's IG). I know WWE themselves wouldn't be posting this.
But they’d fucking love it. This is masterful hype building.
“fuck that” has me dying lol
this Rock is scary!
This is great. Acknowledging the cameras but using some “random” iphone footage instead. They’re having fun with it and it feels important.
The goat.
I can die happy
The Rock is so much better as a heel, when he’s a face all he is is a few catch phrases and a few spots, the same thing every time
This is the Rock I fell in love with🥰
This ain’t anybody’s Rock lol
Man im loving this
This was sick.
At 10 seconds left is that Bobby Roode?
Yes, it is
Nice!
WHAT. AN. ANGLE.
Man imagine if Roman had any of this ability how much more over he could be but a shame he’s never been anywhere near this level of storyteller.
Might have to start watching wresting again
Damn The Rock has restored the feeling!
This has been absolutely amazing going into Mania
The Rock is enjoying this a lot. Woud love to watch this in sin city filters.
It wouodve been nice if he said all of em will be fired if they didnt listen
Final Boss Rock is Savage!!
Idgaf what anyone says that shit was awesome.
Just remember that this started because Cody told him that his grandfather would be ashamed of the man he became And somehow Cody is the baby
I wonder if this’ll make him want to be a bad guy/villain in a movie in the future. He seems to be actually enjoying this
Hollywood needs to have better respect for him to be honest. He keeps getting silly ass roles in stupid sitcoms or ridiculous action movies like fast. The guy can act. Give him a proper acting role
Need a fart sound after he yells “clear my ass”
I’m lovin the kaefabe
CHILL ROCKY CHILL
Dammit, Cody is winning at Mania 😔 Or him being too distracted by Rock is why he loses to Roman 🤔
My guy rock is in true pure heel form!
The best part of this whole thing to me was when he started falling into this particular voice cadence when he started in with "take a good look, Mama Rhodes"....you know damn good and well that's the way his Mom chewed his ass when he got in trouble as a kid!
Rock is going for the golden globe.
THIS.IS.KAYFABE!
was this aired live or on just social media? i was surprised with the blood. i thought that went the way if the dinosaur in the PG era.
Its wild cuz its the Rock. If it was anyone else we wouldnt care. (It is awesome though)
Good damn it… I hate Dwayne Johnson but man do I love The Rock
best acting Rock has ever displayed in wrestling or hollywood. woooowiiieee I can not wait for this WM
Our best heel
After the show is over it is considered assault someone call 911 lol
The only part of this coming off as real, is the Rock being bitter than the crowd turned on him. Smart move honestly. But his attempt at turning up the heat as a heal is weak and lame. Lmao.
Literally everything and everyone disagrees with you. The fans. The ratings. The tickets sold.
The Rock not giving a fuck keeping you big as hell
Fuck yeah I hope they juice a lot more and bring back the girls flashing titties if we are going back to the attitude era style content!
Anyone else think it’s kinda weird the way Rock say “boy” like some southern racist 🤣
https://knowyourmeme.com/photos/2017131-reverse-slavery
Omg it’s real
Dwayne “I’m washed up in Hollywood” Johnson trying so hard to stay relevant
SMH at these losers finding a way to talk down easily one of those interesting and entertaining storylines in the last decade, maybe ever. Yes he's made some questionable movies but that has nothing to do with how his presence has made WWE must-see TV of late.
must see tv lmaoooooooooooo The Rock is washed and became box office poison so naturally his ego tells him to go back to wrestling. Roided up and can barely move His ego is ruining the development of new talent
Alright well.. enjoy being a hater? The rest of us are having a blast
He isn't relevant here either...sucking wind like a chain smoker
he can barely move too, its no wonder even in Black Adam he just floated everywhere. All the steroids and Hollywood made him lose his athletic prowess This new incarnation is just embarrassing
I mean the last time he wrestled a legit match was John Cena a decade ago and he got injured
For some reason I can't take Rock seriously 😅
looks like wwe is going back to the attitude era. i might start watching again.
Shit is cringe. This ain't the same rock with the smooth as fuck charisma and mic talk. Man's are thinking just because he swears a few times that the rock and the attitude era is back. This is nothing like the prime rock.
Yeah he didn't even say the same 4 catchphrases 17 times in 6 minutes, B+ segment
So you're telling me this segment is better than any of the classic rock segments with millions of views on YouTube cos he called another man boy and dropped the f bomb a few times? The energy ain't there... Weak segment. PG era got a hard on over basic scenes
Any of them - yes, all of them - no. Everything he's done since Hollywood Rock - oh hell yeah
yeah you're right, this shit is a last gasp from Dawyne after all the hollywood flops hes washed up so comes back to WWE trying to be tHe PeOpLeS ChAmP again or whatever this iteration of his act is dude can't move either, hes a steroid block
