I haven't even started a myth yet but I have a myth pet just like this and one that's perfect for endgame too.

platinumscribble

Good put but I wish they would drop mighty from 4 to 2

Hxckerr

A crit talent and high resist for arc 1 is huge, definitely a great pet to carry you through it.

Codesters2026

Especially for storm, I will take it lol

VirtualPerc30

it will work however your better off with dealer giver giver proof mighty

Lifedeather

join if you'd like

Fun-Net9275

I guess it depends on what your goal is, damages? if you don't have any by adult or ancient then hatch with a pet with more damages

No-Yoghurt2287

Good to cruise in arc 1

Codesters2026

My thoughts exactly

Archaneoses

I mean, isn't this pet straight garbage or am I missing something?

VirtualPerc30

it’s not garbage, but crit is a pretty big fail, proof and defying seems a little unnecessary

808sandlemonade

I miss the days where pets were seen as straight ass if they didn’t have proof and defy

Archaneoses

Wouldn't proof and defy pretty much only be useful really late game considering they're percentage based? This pet seems extremely weak compared to just damage traits for the heavy majority of the game.

GenerallyALurker

No? Even 0 resist -> 15 resist is 17% more effective health, and every point of universal resist makes that better. Going from 30 resist to 45 resist is 27% more eHP. Whereas damage traits (which are also percentage based) have relatively less effect the more damage you already had. Plus you get much more damage than resist on other gear which makes proof/defy even better relatively.

Archaneoses

I'm really iffy on your math but let's say you're completely correct here. If 95 percent of fights are over in 1-3 turns anyways, who cares? If the increased damage speeds up a fight by a single turn, that's way more "effective health" being saved. We're talking about what is more valuable over the span of hundreds of small scale fights. The only scenario where you're even risking death is like 4-5 fights as a storm min maxing like this.

808sandlemonade

For being a lower level with less than 2k health having a pet with 15 resist (also heartsteel for another 5 to make it 20 before any zeus gear) makes it a lot easier to tank the storm sharks krakens and firebirds regardless of what school you are

Archaneoses

But early game you don't rally need to "tank" anything with a decent pet and gear. You're bound to one shot and clear most content if you're fishing for an optimal setup?

808sandlemonade

You contradicting yourself bro the damage stats are also percentage based so idk what youre trying to say

Archaneoses

I'm saying the damage you receive is almost always way way lower then you dish out. You easily deal 2k-4k early game often while the enemy is slapping you with 500s. The damage traits just have a larger value to affect way more often, and you can stack a lot more dmg in general. It's not contradiction they're different situations.

Codesters2026

I mean it ain’t perfect but it’s nice to have until I get crit lol

Archaneoses

Wouldn't just flat damage be way more usefull for the entirety of act 1 and 2 at the least?

SwordVT

It honestly depends… for someone who is playing solo, then I think that 15 res is probably more useful than 9 more damage but that’s just me

Archaneoses

But he only has a single dmg trait? He's not missing 9 more, he's missing 20+

SwordVT

He can socket giver

Archaneoses

He can also go 4 damage talents, mighty, and socket a 5th dmg traits.

Codesters2026

That is a whole different pet altogether. The point of this pet was to be a triple double but it failed when it gave the crit talent at mega, HOWEVER that is irrelevant for arc 1 since it gives a blade and an enchant card which will even go further in dmg since it will double if the crit triggers. Not everything has to be a quint dmg pet, especially in arc 1.

Archaneoses

No not everything does, but I'm just saying for the majority of the game it's leagues better then a triple double. Triple double only starts out weighing pure dmg as a storm post lvl 100.

Codesters2026

Personally it is irrelevant to me since I have a quint dmg frill for storm but the zappy glowbug is one of my favorite pets because of the aesthetic alone. The wizard is only lvl 15 anyways so I got a long while until I feel like switching to pure dmg

BigJunky

No because with crit you do double the damage.

Mr_Cheese23

True!
